Police Arrests Car Thieves In Benin, Warns Public Against Buying Stolen Goods

Two suspected car snatchers, Adekunle Esho and Chibuike Ugu, have been arrested by officers of Edo State Police Command in connection with a stolen Toyota Camry Car allegedly snatched in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on November 14.
The car, with number plate JJJ 777 AJ, according to a statement by the command's spokesman, DSP Noble Uwoh, was snatched from the owner by armed robbers.
He said operatives of Edo State Command traced the vehicle to Urubi Street in Benin, where two persons were arrested and the car recovered on November 15.
Uwoh, who said the two suspects confessed to the crime and that they intended to sell the car in Benin, advised the public against buying stolen vehicles to avoid being treated as receiver of stolen property.
