Buhari must explain missing N2bn in petroleum ministry —Plateau commissioner
The commissioner stated this during a brief ceremony to mark the conferment of the honour of Ethics Ambassador on him by the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, in his office.
Muhammad said "war against corruption or anti-corruption crusade must be holistic."
According to him, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate's claims and pronouncements about fighting corruption was a sheer pretence and electioneering gallery show."
Badu recalled that a whopping sum of two billion naira disappeared under Buhari's watch, and was traced to an aircraft arrested by the government of Idi Amin in Uganda.
"At that time, the naira was stronger than the American dollar, and that translates to robbing Nigeria of vital development projects, especially as that government failed to account for the money up to this day.
"For discerning people to believe and subscribe to his anti-corruption war cry, Buhari should explain to the world how the money disappeared from the ministry's coffers, and the diplomacy that resolved the controversy over the arrest of the aircraft carrying the cash in a Uganda airport," he said.
Girl Pours Acid On Boo's P3n¡s After Their S3x Tape Hit The Internet
But after the video went viral, the furious teenager confronted Khoza in a pub, calling him a 'dog' before throwing battery acid over his lap.
"Everything happened in a blink of an eye because I saw her when she was coming with a bottle but I didn't realise that she was carrying acid," Khoza, from Mpumalanga, South Africa, told Citi FM Online.
"She just angrily called me a dog. She asked how in the world I could have done such an evil thing to her. It was only then that I realised that she was talking about the video that I took while we were having s3x."
Khoza, who said he doesn't know how the video ended up on social media, has been told his p3n¡s will never work again and he has to urinate through a tube.
'Even if I press charges it is useless because it won't bring back my manh••d. Her being in jail will just ruin her future because she is still young and I do not have the energy to attend courts,' he said.culled

#KeyeSpeaks: LASU Fees Struggle and the 2015 Election
By Ewebiyi Keye James
It is exactly one year after the birth of the #SaveLASU Campaign Movement which heralded the reawakening of the fight for the reversal of the outrageous fees in Lagos State University (LASU). The movement was formed on February 1, 2014 at a public meeting called by the Education Rights Campaign (ERC) in reaction to the January 23, 2014 students' protest over the closure of registration portal against 1,292 students of the University.
The campaign, initiated by the ERC alongside the Lagos State University Students Union (LASUSU), National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS) and other radical students group, had as its cardinal demands the reopening of the university and registration portal for affected students to register; reversal of the outrageous fees and adequate funding of the university.
At the onset of the campaign, many criticized the initiators on the premise that they were demanding for the impossible and that it will be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for the fees to be reversed. But unfortunately for these armchair critics, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola approved the reversal of the fees on August 7, 2014 after the students rejected the initial proposal of percentage reduction.
But this great achievement did not come without a price. It took seven months of online and offline campaigns, protests and other forms of civil disobedience to get the state government to accede to the ultimate demand. While some people alluded the concession by the government to political reasons, particularly in the face of the 2015 elections, one cannot but give credit to the #SaveLASU movement for galvanizing many of us into action. The courage and determination displayed by thousands of LASU students who participated in several protests and rallies to force the government to reverse the fees is unprecedented in the history of student unionism in Nigeria. In fact, the real heroes of the struggle are the students who couldn't take up their admission; those who were forced to drop out of school and those who were harassed, assaulted, detained and victimized while the struggle lasted.
My decision to participate in the campaign was borne out of many reasons including my encounter with the governor prior to his re-election for second term in 2011. In the build up to the 2011 elections in Lagos State, I, along with other student leaders of Lagos State University (LASU) paid a courtesy call on the governor. I could recall that one of the issues we discussed with him was the development of the only state-owned university – LASU into a world-class institution. After His Excellency painstakingly listened to our plea for massive investment in infrastructural development and academic facilities, he assured us of his commitment to our demand.
And true to his promise, few weeks after his victory at the poll, he paid a surprise visit to the main campus of the university and he surprisingly visited the student union building where he once again expressed his commitment to developing LASU into a world class varsity. But unknowingly to us, his plan would mean an end to the academic aspirations of many. Barely three months after this August visit, the state government announced a 725 percent increase in school fees resulting into an upward review from N25,000 to as high as N345,750. That it took three years of protests and rallies to get the same governor to reverse the fee hike policy tells a lot about how deceptive, inconsiderate and anti-poor a "progressive" governor can be.
Six months after the state government announced the fee reversal and refund of the excess fees paid by students, the state government and the university management are yet to effect the refund. This again underlines the deceptiveness and insincerity of the government. Rather than launch a renewed campaign on this, the leadership of the students' union is busy mobilizing students for the presidential and governorship candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC), the same political party that believes university education is too cheap at N25,000 and that only the rich deserves a place in the university. The non-partisanship of the union whose members fondly refer to as the best in Sub-Saharan Africa has suddenly been sacrificed on the altar of self-aggrandizement and personal enrichment. The deadly virus that has weakened the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and turned it into a mere student-wing of the Peoples Democratic Party has suddenly crept into the LASU Students' Union.
Alas, another election is here again! In the absence of a clear-cut pro-people political party, this election provides an opportunity for LASU students, staff and other stakeholders to engage Lagos State gubernatorial candidates in debates on their plans for the only state-owned university. This engagement, however, must go beyond the usual talk-show. They must be compelled to state their positions on the funding of the university; university administration, academic freedom and university autonomy; independent unionism among other germane issues. This engagement should also ensure that the candidates endorse a statement of commitment in this regard.
If media reports are anything to go by, then another big crisis looms in LASU. We need more than a "change" slogan to save the university from this impending crisis. We need a government that will commit its time and resources to resolving the many crises reversing the development of the institution.
If any of the candidates tells us he will make LASU the Harvard of Nigeria, let us not fail to ask him - how? If they tell us they will invest billions of naira in LASU, let's bother to ask them – from whose pocket?
Once bitten, twice shy.

FIFA FINES WESTHAM €91,000...After player lied to escape playing at #AFCON2015
West Ham have been fined €91,000 for fielding Diafra Sakho during their FA Cup clash with Bristol City , but will not be expelled from the competition, FIFA have confirmed.
Sakho pulled of the Africa Cup of Nations because of a back problem but then went on to score for West Ham in their 1-0 win over the League One side on January 25. Senegal's Football Federation subsequently lodged a complaint with Fifa after learning of Sakho's involvement in the contest but the world governing body has opted not to expel the London club from England's most prestigious cup competition or punish Sakho with a
suspension.
Instead West Ham have been fined 100,000 Swiss Francs, which works out at approximately €91,000, while Sakho has been issued with a reprimand.
The decision does, however, cost West Ham most of their €120,000 prize money for winning in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
A Fifa statement read: "The Fifa Disciplinary Committee has found the club and the player to have violated art. 5 of Annexe 1 of the Regulations in relation to the match played by Sakho on 25 January 2015.

Nigerian Striker; Emmanuel Emenike Performs Ritual To Lift Curse Over His Inability To Score Goals
Emenike is reported to have complained that his energy is out of sync after being cursed in Nigeria and that it has had a detrimental effect on his performances on the field.
"My energy is not right, something is wrong, I just need a goal to get back to form," Emenike was quoted as saying by Milliyet.
The 27-year-old striker underwent a ritual called 'Kur_un Dökme' which is carried out when it is believed that an evil eye is upon you. The evil eye is the name for a curse or sickness transmitted by someone who is envious, jealous or wishes harm on someone.
The evil eye belief is that a person can harm you and your property by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when they are unaware.
There are a number of precautions that can be taken to prevent evil eye. The blue Nazar Boncuk popular across Turkey is an amulet believed to protect against the evil eye. The practice of using a crystal blue eye dates back to Central Asia, during the ages of the shamanic Tengrism era.
If it believed that you have been cursed by evil eye one method that can be used to rid oneself on the effects of it is a ritual called 'Kur_un Dökme'.
The ritual involves a kur_uncu (the person taking the nazar off you) who heats up the kur_un (lead) over the stove. The kur_uncu then sits you down, covers you up with a blanket, and pours the lead in a bowl of water, causing the water to splatter and the lead to take various shapes and forms.
The process is believed to get rid of negative energy and lift the curse.

Another Nigerian Cuts Off Manh••d Because Three Women Told Him To...in his dream
A 35-year-old male fashion designer, Wahab Sa'adu had cut off his joystick with a razor blade in a bush close to his house located at Alapa, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.
A source from the family who pleaded anonymity said the victim had rushed back to the house with his bleeding manhood on his hand on Monday, January 26, 2015.
"We were at home preparing for the day's work when Sa'adu came in with part of his manhood in his hand with blood stain all over his trouser.
"His (Wahab) loud cry drew the attention of people in the neighbourhood to our house and everyone was shocked to see what had happened, "said the source.
His father who could not stand the sight of his son's severed member passed out immediately.
Sa'adu was immediately rushed to a private clinic in the area for quick first aid treatment before he was later transferred to another private hospital at Tanke, Ilorin, the state capital.
Speaking in excruciating pains from the hospital bed, the victim said his action was the "handiwork of witches", who attacked and controlled him through the dream.
He said, "Prior to the incident, I had a dream in which three unidentified women appeared to me and ordered that I drink battery acid, which I did the following morning without the knowledge of anyone."
"Three days after, I had another dream where the same women ordered me to wake up and cut off my joystick. It was after cutting it off that I regained consciousness. So I rushed home for immediate remedy."
One of wives of the victim who craved anonymity said she had accepted her fate because their marriage had produced four issues including twins.
Dumped Boyfriend Kills Couple, Brides Mother On Wedding Day In Delta
He went further to shoot sporadically at the guests who were gathered to witness the event and eventually killed the bride's mother in the process. The venue of the ill-fated wedding, which was also to serve as reception for the guests, was laid waste when trouble started immediately after the couple's first dance.
The bride who was simply identified as Stephany, was a graduate of Office Management and Technology from one of the polytechnics in the state.
It was also learnt that she had walked up to her ex-boyfriend simply identified as Teddy to inform him that she was tired of their relationship which had lasted for eight years without leading them to the altar.
Some sources in the know disclosed that her intention was to make Teddy propose to marry her with immediate effect since they had both secured jobs.
After receiving the news, Teddy was said to have started nurturing plans to finally settle down with her.
Things took new turns however, when Stephany's mum suddenly appeared with a United Kingdom-based businessman who arrived Nigeria in December 2014 and introduced him to Stephany.
The deceased bride's mum told her that the unnamed United Kingdom man was in dire need of a wife and Stephany who was desperate to settle down welcomed the idea since virtually all her mates were married.
They started plans to tie the knot as soon as practicable without any knowledge of the unforeseen danger ahead.
Unfortunately they could not live to tell the story of their big day as the bride's angry ex-lover decided to nip the relationship in the bud by sniffing life out of them halfway into their wedding ceremony.
OAU Students Tackles Management, FG... Demands For Election Break
The honourable Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau after his meeting with commissioners for education nationwide on Monday decided to dump the idea of giving students election break so as not to further disrupt academic calendar. The minister cited the impromptu Ebola break whose effect is still been felt in the sector. Students of Obafemi Awolowo University have however chided the minister and those who sat with him to take such decision as not weighing arguments properly before making their pronouncements. Even as the Students' Union leaders of Obafemi Awolowo University continue to dance to the gallery on their own opinion about the much talked about election break whenever they are asked, the Union President, Ibikunle Isaac Motunrayo confirmed to the media yesterday that students of OAU do not need to be given any election break.
Ibikunle's comment of 'no election break' for OAU students has further heightened and heated arguments among students as to why the Students' Union president has to say such thing without consulting the students as such matter relates directly to their welfare. "This is a criminal way of supporting the disenfranchisement of Great Ife students in the coming elections" a student said. Other argument raised by students is that they are involved in the electioneering process. For those that are not part of the electorates, they will be serving as electoral officers in their various states. "I registered for the INEC adhoc job because of the money involved so that I will be able to pay the increased school fees come next semester but with the no election break announcement, I am seriously confused" another OAU student lamented.
Some other students who expressed fear over what may ensue after the February 14 poll believe it is not sane for any authority to keep her students in school when the Federal Government will not be providing additional security to protect lives and properties. "I pray we have a peaceful election but anything can happen and so, we should see beyond now. 2011 is still fresh in memory! What will the school authorities do if any violence breaks out after the election? Disperse students into the violence? You see the decision to keep students in school is not making any sense" a student said.
The Obafemi Awolowo University management as at the time of filing this report is yet to say anything on the election break as the Senate plans to meet before Friday. However, there are fears that the management might adopt the Federal Government's decision not even when the Students' Union leaders are supporting the same idea at the expense of popular demands of the students. Some departments have however scheduled their tests to hold on February 28.
Lagosians Must Get Their PVCs Before Me -Governor Fashola
The Governor who gave an update to State House Correspondents at Lagos House, Ikeja on what transpired at his meeting earlier in the day with the Independent National Electoral Commissioner in Lagos, Mr Akin Orebiyi, who paid him a courtesy visit, stated that he has been briefed about the readiness of INEC to commence the distribution exercise from Wednesday 8.30a.m to 5.30p.m in the evening daily and lasting till Sunday.
He stated that what has changed is that from the former Wards Collation Offices of INEC, the collection has been moved closer to the people at the primary places where they usually vote and which they are familiar with and irrespective of where they registered.
When reminded by a journalist that he was yet to collect his PVC, the Governor maintained that he won't give up and that INEC has acknowledged that it has received quite a number of more voters cards and his is presumably amongst them.
Affirming that he would not go forward to collect the PVC until the majority of Lagosians collect theirs, he declared: "A captain does not leave a ship when there is crisis and I must make sure all the passengers are safely evacuated so I want Lagosians to get theirs first. As a Governor, I enjoy certain privileges but I can't go ahead of them so I want them to take the fullest benefit of this exercise before I collect mine".
He also advised all those who have registered freshly to also proceed to the Polling Units where INEC has made arrangements to distribute the PVC to them, stressing that in case there are difficulties the state Government would continue to work with INEC towards providing solutions.
"I would keep an eye to see this new phase of the exercise. It allows the people the opportunity to vote and as I said, this exercise would start tomorrow. There is five days to do this, so that as many people as possible and hopefully everybody who is registered can get theirs at their poling units", he stated.
The Governor also informed that he has been updated by the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner that the current registration exercise in Lagos has produced 5,905,000 people, adding that they are still doing some collation and that the final figure would be released when all is finally finished.
On what Lagosians should expect from the latest exercise, the Governor said It is for them to make out time and go out and make the sacrifice, adding that he would continue to insist that the umpire must get it right.
"I know people have tried. I have heard people say they have been to the places, the Ward Offices eight times and some four times and for me if you have made that kind of efforts, the real success must come in not giving up and I don't give up and that is why I continue to address the issue".
"I have made State broadcasts, I have granted interviews, I won't give up on our people. They must get a chance to participates so the people themselves must be willing to persist and to persevere so that they will get an opportunity to have a say in how their affairs are ordered by being able to vote at the next elections", he explained.
The Governor appealed to such people to see the hitherto unsuccessful efforts as adversity and hopefully when they succeed they would have the final joy on election days to say they finally voted and that would be the real success story in the difficult exercise of collecting Permanent Voters Cards.
APC Alleges Plot By GEJ, PDP To Form Interim Govt, PDP Reacts
The party alleged that the administration had initially planned to use the courts to disqualify its presidential candidate, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari.
It raised this alarm in Lagos, on Tuesday, at a press conference addressed by its national publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, insisting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was not ready for any election, but looking for opportunity to postpone the exercise.
This was as the party urged the Council of State, which is scheduled to meet in a few days' time, "not to allow itself to be used to scuttle the forthcoming elections, because it is in the interest of Nigeria and its people that the elections proceed as scheduled."
It alleged that the Jonathan-led government and PDP had resorted to lobbying some members of the council to support their clamour for election postponement.
"We hope the council, which is due to meet later in the week, will put national interest above narrow, partisan considerations and reject the poisoned chalice of election postponement," the party said.
According to the APC, the new strategy being plotted by election postponement campaigners working for Jonathan and PDP to scuttle the coming polls is to procure "pliant judges" to give outrageous and unpopular judgment at election tribunals and courts.
The party said such unpopular and outrageous judgments, as would be expected, were ones capable of destabilising the polity and causing "massive violence across the country, which they will then leverage as an excuse to scuttle the elections and form an interim government."
Reacting, the PDP, speaking through its national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, berated the APC for constantly making wild allegations and telling the public lies, rather than going to the field to canvass for votes.
According to Metuh, "Nigerians no longer take APC serious. APC is a rumour monger, this is strange. Let us wait till February 14 and see whether or not the election will hold that day and APC and its leaders gnashing their teeth.
"That day, they will be exposed and there will be no hiding place for them."
Fashola Finally Meets With Joseph Mbu, Charges Him On Security
The meeting which was held at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja for several hours was held behind closed doors.
According to sources, the governor and the police boss deliberated on matters bordering on the security of property and lives of residents, particularly before, during and after the coming general elections.
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN (right) discussing with the Assistant Inspector- General of Police, Zone II, Mr. Joseph Mbu (left) during his courtesy visit to the Governor at the Lagos House, Ikeja, on Tuesday, February 03, 2015.
After the meeting, efforts to speak with the police boss on the outcome of the meeting was unsuccessful as he was led into his vehicle by stern looking police aides.
Mbu, by the virtue of his present position, is a member of the state security council that meets every Wednesday of the week at the Lagos House, Marina.
He was deployed as AIG from the Police Command's Zone 7 in Abuja to Zone 2, Lagos. Several months ago, he was similarly moved to Abuja from Rivers State, where he was at the centre of the political controversy there.
Maritime Workers Call For Jonathan's Re-election
At a briefing on the platform of Maritime Watchdog of Nigeria, MWN, the workers listed what they considered as outstanding achievements of the present administration, contending that they wanted the administration to continue and do more for the sector.
Speaking on behalf of MWN, its Legal Adviser/General Secretary, Mr. Mac-Johnson Odey, enumerated parts of the achievements to include programmes on the development of Nigeria seafarers, capacity development, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Shipyard and Dockyard, Satellite surveillance centre.

"These crimes have today been drastically reduced through the presence and operations of the satellite surveillance centre in NIMASA.
"With the current level and effort of capacity building, infrastructure development and drive for improved performance, give hope for Nigeria as a future maritime nation of note."
Scholarship

Protesters Storm INEC Office, Demands For Election Postponement
The youth gathered at the INEC headquarters in the Maitama District of Abuja asking it to delay the polls because of the difficulty in the distribution of the Permanent Voters Card, PVCs.
According to the protesters, only 40 per cent of the cards had been distributed ahead of the February 14 and 28 elections.
They also claimed that INEC needed 960,000 ad hoc staff but that at the time of their protest the staff had not been engaged.
They argued that if the polls were allowed to go ahead as scheduled, several million Nigerians would not be able to vote.
The youth, who gathered at Unity Fountain beside Hilton Hotel before marching to the INEC headquarters on Zambezi Street, were bearing banners and placards with the inscriptions such as "Election is for general participation, not for selective few" "INEC, do the right thing," "Don't disenfranchise Nigerians," "We demand for the extension of election to allow Nigerian exercise their franchise."
The National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, a retired colonel, had at an event in London recently made a case for the shift of the elections to give INEC more time to distribute all the PVCs.
However, criticisms trailed the call with Nigeria's leading opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, alleging that Mr. Dasuki was only making the call to buy time for the PDP presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan's campaign to gather steam.
Since the NSA made the call some individuals and groups have also asked for the postponement of the polls.

See Ghanian Rapper With FOUR Kids From Different Women
When most people would not be so proud to flaunt children from different women, one of Ghana's most popular hip pop acts, Nii Addo Quaynor, popularly known as Tinny, sees it all from a different angle.
The rapper, who finally addressed the issue of his paternity to children from different mothers in a recent interview with eTV Ghana, disclosed in a somewhat proud manner: 'I have four kids, three boys and a girl from three women. The eldest was named after my mother, Naa Badoo Quaynor.'
The 'Makola Kwakwe' rapper, who joined the rap game in 1994, was at a time arguably the most popular music act in Nigeria. He bagged the Youth Excellence award for the 'Youth Musician of 2003 and 'New Artiste of the year' at the Ghana Music Awards in Accra and Ghana Music Awards UK in 2004.
But in the last few years, not much has been heard of him, with many claiming his career has headed downhill with his many paternity issues with different women and intense competition on the Ghanaian music scene.
