BlackBox Nigeria can authoritatively confirm that the management of Lagos State University has approved the third day of March for the postponed Students' Union election of the citadel.
In a statement obtained by BBN, the Vice chancellor disclosed that the elections which were postponed for academic reasons would now be held next month to ensure a smooth running of all activities on campus.

In a statement obtained by BBN, the Vice chancellor disclosed that the elections which were postponed for academic reasons would now be held next month to ensure a smooth running of all activities on campus.
"In line with the Vice Chancellor's commitment to the sustenance of an independent and vibrant students' union body and the need to ensure a smooth running of the academic calender with its attendant activities, the university management has approved a new date for the 2015 students' union elections," the statement read in part.
The management also urged the candidates and all students to conduct themselves in an orderly manner as the countdown to the elections begin.
BBN Campus correspondent however reports that the latest development have thrown the university community into a frenzy as politicking has again been ignited amongst the various contenders and varrying interests.
