The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seems to have received a shocker as the deputy governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Ali Olanusi earlier today(Thursday morning) defected to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC. The defection coming two days to the presidential election is a huge blow to the ruling PDP  which had in the past celebrated the defection of the Ondo State governor Olusegun Mimiko and his now erstwhile deputy to decamp to the ruling party late last year. Olanusi, became the deputy governor of the State in 2009 under the platform of Labour Party before he defected along side with the governor to PDP in October, 2014.
