Nadangoro area of Katsina metropolis was thrown into great pandemonium yesterday as about 10 people died and many others hospitalised after eating meal served in a wedding ceremony .
Vanguard reports that guests who ate the meal the complained of stomach disorder few minutes after eating the meals served at the party, leaving many people hospitalised and the unlucky ones dead. The incident has caused great panic within the community.
According to a staff of Federal Medical Centre, who pleaded anonymity, said the hospital had received a number of cases relating to the incident. In his words, he said,
"I think, from the information gathered so far, the case of some of the victims has to do with food poisoning," the staff said.
About ten people reportedly died and many others hospitalized on June 3, Wednesday, after eating food at a wedding in the Nadangoro area of Katsina metropolis.
Most of those affected had complained of stomach ache not long after they left d ceremony.
Some were said to have died hours after being admitted in d hospitals.
Other victims are still in various hospitals in town, receiving treatment.
