Nigerian superstar, Ayo 'Wizkid' Balogun has been honored for his "Selfless contribution to the Nigerian music industry and the world in general". The singer got the award from the students of the Cyprus International University yesterday 4th of June after touching down the European country for a performance tour.
Wizkid who is billed to perform today at the Lions Garden in Famagusta couldn't contain his joy as he took to his social media account to share the exciting news and posted a picture.
Wizkid dropped out of the Lagos State University in 2009 to pursue a career in music after he was signed to Banky W's EME. He was later admitted to Lead City, Ibadan but that was also short lived as the singer didn't complete his degree program.
He has two albums and the third is reportedly almost concluded.
