Senator Musiliu Obanikoro in a recent interview revealed why he is renewing his bid to run for the governorship position of Lagos State.
How true is it that the number of aspirants in the race have been reduced to four? It was also alleged that you were asked not to accept ministerial appointment as a condition to be given the PDP governorship ticket in 2015. How true is that?

"It is not true that the number of aspirants have been reduced. I am not aware of that. Everyone is entitled to a level playing field. All of us in the race are men of impeccable record. We have distinguished ourselves in our various fields.
I am confident of victory at the primaries because I am a grassroots person, with grasp of the key issues in the state. All we are asking for is a level playing field where we can all come out to test our popularity among the people. There was no condition attached to my becoming a minister. Mr. President who appointed me a minister did not say that it was a condition for me not to contest in 2015."
MO recently resigned as the minister of state for defence to enable him contest for the Lagos top job.
