Ebola Scare: Businessman Slumps, Dies In Ikorodu As People Abandon Him for Fear Of Ebola

A businessman, Adeoye Wasiu, 44, resident of No. 3, Suberu Ogunsanya, Ikorodu, Lagos, was said to have slumped to death early recently.
Adeoye who deals in the sales of
electronic appliances at the above address, was said to be on his way to the market to get bulk purchase to stock his shop when he collapsed due to shortage of blood.
A close relative revealed to BlackBox Nigeria that the people who saw him fall thought it was Ebola attack and they could not move to help him.
"It is sad at the level of misinformation, passersby told us that when he slumped, a particular market woman at Allison road shouted, Ebola...Ebola...Ebola, which scared people away from helping him. It created phobia in people, many just stood there watching him pass out. It is sad," he said mournfully.
Adeoye popularly know as Electro Audio, after gaining little consciousness was said to have strive to leave the main road to avoid being crushed by Danfo and some commercial vehicles. But people keep on looking till he eventually gave up the ghost after losing lots of energy.
His remains was taken to Ikorodu General Hospital where they confirmed him dead.
