APC Wins Bauchi, Yobe Guber Polls

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Mohammed Abubakar, has won the governorship election in the state to beat the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Auwal Jatau.
The State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor, Federal University Kashere, Gombe State, Prof. Mohammed Farouk, while declaring the results of the election at the Independent National Electoral Commission headquarters, Bauchi, said Abubakar of the APC, won with 654, 934 votes ahead of Jatau of the PDP, who got 282, 650.
APC won 19 of the 20 Local Governorment Arears while the PDP was left with one LGA.

Similarly, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam of the All Progressive Congress has re-emerged winner of the 2015 gubernatorial election in in Yobe State. Announcing the result at the INEC headquarters in Damaturu, the returning officer for the election in the state and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri , Professor Njodi said Ibrahim Gaidam of APC emerged winner with a total of 334,847 votes to defeat Alh. Adamu Maina Waziri of PDP who scored a total of 179,700 votes. The incumbent governor won the election in sixteen of the seventeen LGAs in the state. The APC won 22 out of the available 24 seats in the state house of assembly election while the PDP won the remaining 2. The resident electoral commissioner Habu Zarma thank all stakeholders for success in all the elections.
