WIZKID ARRESTED, HANDCUFFED IN KENYA!

No comments :

Visiting Nigerian singer Wizkid was arrested from his Nairobi Crown Plaza hotel room on Saturday afternoon and quizzed by police only hours before his flight back to Lagos. The arrest was in connection with allegations that he was caught smoking illegal substances.

The incident happened at around 1p.m. just as the Caro singer was checking out of his hotel room where he has been staying for a week, since his last week's concert. According to our sources, Wizkid was caught smoking 'weed' inside the hotel in which smoking is prohibited. The hotel's Front Officer asked him why he was smoking before the two got into a heated argument attracting security officers who ended up calling the police to arrest him.

Before police officers cuffed him and drove him to Capital Hill police station where he was quizzed, the hotel had already charged him with Sh50,000 smoking penalty, which he paid through his credit card. Coming to his rescue was his newly found Kenyan flame Victoria Kimani, who followed him to the police station shortly after he had been arrested. Victoria had been with the singer at the hotel the previous day. Wizkid was due to leave for Lagos at around 3p.m. and was forced to cancel the flight due to the drama.

Why I flaunt my wealth on social media

No comments :

Showing off his affluence and wealth on social media is what Limpopo king, Kcee does on a regular bases which have sometimes drawn criticms from fans and critics alike. The pop star is however not deterred by these comments.
According to the artist real name Kingsley Okonkwo, there is nothing wrong with what he does, as foreign stars also do the same.

In a recent interview, Kcee said:
"I am just expressing myself. Even American artistes like Beyonce and Rihana do the same. "If they get anything, they put it on the social media,if they want to go anywhere, they put it on the social media. I just like to express myself without bothering myself on what they say. It is just keeping your real followers or die-hard fans informed about what you do. It's not a problem.
"No matter who you are on earth, people will criticize you. People criticize presidents and pastors. Even jesus Christ was criticized in the Bible. "So, I don't care about what they are saying. The only thing I do is to make sure I learn from whatever my fans are saying. As far as my fashion sense is concerned, I think it's 100 percent correct."

"Go And Check My Lasu Profile" -Desmond Eliot Refutes Claims He Isn't Named 'Olusola'

No comments :

When Desmond Elliott, released his campaign posters and included "Olushola" as one of his names, he was criticized for playing pranks trying to act Yoruba so he could contest for a seat in the House of Assembly.

In a recent interview, the actor/producer cum politician has however defended his name.
"I am from Lagos state. My father is from Olowogbowo on Lagos Island but my mother is from Delta state. I refer to myself as being a Pan-African. People don't believe I am a Lagosian because I seldom act in Yoruba movies. And I didn't include the Shola in my name. Then because my surname is also English, many couldn't differentiate which made people confused about where I am actually from. I am very detribalised. People of my constituency know my story and know where I come from. I have always used Shola in my primary school days. I went to Air Force Primary School in Plateau and later attended St John's College, both in Jos. I proceeded to Lagos State University where I studied Economics and graduated in 2003″.

Sleeping Naked Is Good For Your Health

No comments :

-Dr. Black!

Generally Nigerians parade themselves as hardcore moralists and discussions like this is easily frowned at. However, with recent health challenges being faced not just by the aged but all and sundry, it is pertinent we start discussing certain issues irrespective of our "beliefs".

A research has shown that it is healthier sleeping naked than being clothed. This may sound weird but it is absolutely a fact. A recent study revealed that less than 3% of global population sleeps naked while less than 10% does so in America. It is expected that the percentage would even be lesser in our dear Nigeria because even the little people who does sleep naked do so when the heat is almost unbearable. A personal check showed that while in Nigeria only young people who are under 34 consider the possibility of sleeping naked with a large percentage of them being females in the higher institution. The discovery further showed that young men prefer sleeping in their briefs (boxers).

Now away from all the statistics and back to the bone of contention which is why sleeping naked is actually good for your health.

1.) Better, Sounder and Deeper Sleep: In a place like Lagos and in most cities of the federation, the daily hustles have made slumber a luxury. However, most people even find it difficult to sleep wholeheartedly when they sleep because of unknown inconveniences. It has been proven that sleeping naked actually makes an individual have an unperturbed sleep achieving optimal amount of rest which in turn aids the system.

2.) Weight Loss: Report have shown that rather than food, belly fat comes from stress... yeah, thats true. However, one major way of fighting this stress is to have a sound sleep and the major way of having a sound sleep is to sleep totally nude. The growth hormones in our system is usually more active at night increasing our fatty state while the stress hormones decreases which means good sleep would disallow extra growth in the system.

3.) Improves Sex Life: Without mincing words, daily hustles continue to reduce the sexual active state of most Nigerian men with daily complaints about how "stress is killing their sex". Sleeping naked next to your spouse no doubt raises certain arousals and in turn good reports on inter-spousal intercourse. So it's simply advisable for you all to sleep naked especially when you are in a relationship. Do I need to still tell you how needful sex is in the life of a human?

Well, there are several other reasons why sleeping naked is good for you but these are rather peculiar to the Nigerian populace so I simply implore you to sleep naked tonight and don't forget to warn those around you ie if you have flatmates, roommates or you live in a 'face me I face you' Lagos apartment where anyone can come in without notice.

NATIONAL CAKE! 20 Men Who Have Dated And Dumped Actress Stella Damasus!

No comments :

In all fairness, this actress and mother of two, Isabella and Angelica is sumptuously beautiful, smashing, sassy, swerving and no doubt endowed with all the physical assets that could simply pass as collateral for a billion dollar loan. She wears an innocent look that makes you think she can't hurt a fly and it has won her more and more admirers.

However, those who know her too well seem to have a different notion of the Delta State born thespian. One of them said, 'that thing between her thighs is always itching her'. Whatever that means, I don't know.  Some even say she loves to go down low with anything in trousers and does it as if it's going out of fashion. However the case maybe, some busy body olofofos gave me the run-down of all the men the actresses has had dealings with, romantically, so I decided to x-ray  them in your favourite Gist Hangout hoping it will make an interesting read or don't you think so too? Whether or not, just please read on since you are here already…

RMD: Stella Damsus's Romance with thespian and now Commissioner for Environment, Delta state, Richard Mofe-Damijo started a long, long time ago, at Stella's early age (na so dem talk am). Although RMD like he is famously addressed denied ever dating the actress amidst rumours that he actually was the first man in her life, I mean the man to whom she lost her virginity. Checks by this news portal reveal that RMD actually brought her into the movie industry called Nollywood, thus the reason he had an upper hand above other men. Some sources even maintained that till date, Stella will still freely give RMD a piece of the cake, if he asks for it.

Ramson Nuoah: Ramson Tokunbo Nuoah, Nollywood's finest in the men category, can easily sweep any lady off her feet, especially those who have preferences for handsome guys. According to sources, the Nollywood fine and bad boy also had a piece of the cake at one time. According to them, he did it with her over and over, until he planted a seed. The seed I also heard, shares resemblance with the planter.

Aquila Njamah:  Those who know him well, say Aquila is the real man!.  According to them, Tall, Short, Fat or slim, Aquila had had them all. He has had his fair share of Nollywood actresses and checks also revealed that if Stella is a 'National Cake' he also had a share of it (you know what I mean). Aquila, creative charismatic and good looking was at one time one of the hottest movie directors in Nollywood. His relationship with Stella started out at a movie location and for as long as it lasted, he was 'going in and out of the place' and shortly after waved goodbye. Even if the relationship did not last for long, his name appeared in the register of those who once did it with Stella Damasus.

Lanre Nzeribe:  Society big boy, Lanre Nzeribe is a notorious-serial lover boy. In fact his name tops the list of guys who have dated a large number of thespians, society older ladies inclusive. Friends describe him as the cat, he narrows his target from afar and, straight, he goes out for it. Lanre allegedly made his money from dating top rated society ladies who in return pay him with mouth watering contracts. According to what we were told, his long list of women won't be complete without Stella Damasus' name occupying a strategic position. But like his counterpart, Aquila, he went in and came out almost immediately for reasons best known to him and him alone.

Taiwo Afolabi: Millionaire Taiwo Afolabi, the CEO of Sifax Group of Companies, also registered his name in the book of men Stella Damasus had, had it with. In his case we learned he got his visa to the actress' honey pot with so much money. Of course anyone who knows the Sifax boss knows that he spends so much money on those things on skirt and weavon. He loves them; he embraces them, he kisses them and gives them freely, both in cash and in kind. And actress Stella Damasus was among the beneficiaries of his benevolence.

Emeka Nzeribe: Actress, Stella Damasus is a warrior sha! Did I hear you just ask, why? Ok hold on, and get the gist. I was informed that ever since she became a public figure (since she joined Nollywood) there had never been a dull moment in her life. She goes in out of relationships in quick successions. Which explains why at each point in time there is one guy/man or the other who is at hand to scratch her back and make her feel warm when it's cold. And one of those who were a victim was Emeka Nzeribe, cousin to 'the cat' Lanre Nzeribe. Although it wasn't like it was pre-arranged like an insider explained, but the actress at one time had something with the businessman and just before one would say jack Robbinson, they got married with Emeka moving into her Lekki home. Like our fore fathers say, if make a jump without calculating, you end up finding yourself in a hot Okro Soup.
As expected, nine months after, their marriage crumbled like the walls of Jericho due to an alleged infidelity from Stella's end, although they tried to cover it up and the list continued.

Sammy Okposo: The Welu Welu master also ate from the 'forbidden fruit'. Sammie Okposo like his towns man, RMD sucked that mammary gland until it almost went dry.  At a time it was rumoured that they were at the verge of getting married which Sammie himself confirmed. According to those who know the both of them too well, Stella was so much in love with Sammie that she craves to always be in his arms. According to the amebos, one reason Stella cherishes Sammie so much is because, he gives her a head (this part shouldn't be difficult for women to understand). I mean, he s**ks her below like a child sucks ice cream (winks)…and as you know, 'women love men who does that to them' the insider gushed.   But it was unfortunate that they finally didn't settle down after all the adventures.

TIM GODFREY: It's a free world, one is free to do whatever he or she likes, but in certain occasions, if not checked it tends to backfire. Part of the untold reasons why Sammie Okposo dumped Stella Damasus like bad habit according to the source was that when he discovered that, while they were dating, Stella was simultaneously cutting shows at the back with Tim Godfrey who was at that time, Sammie Okposo's backup singer. When Sammie discovered what was going on, he allegedly walked out of the relationship without saying goodbye.  Recall that in an interview, Sammie Okposo once claimed that at the verge of marriage, he became afraid… Although he didn't explain what he meant, but some reports said he was actually afraid of Stella's promiscuity.  Be that as it may, the affair with Tim Godfrey like others did not work out.

The thing is, Stella Damaus is a 'free giver'. For as much as much as they were that asked, I was told she gave. To some, freely and to some, for a fee.

From Romeo to Femi Fani-Kayode an unrepentant womanizer to Lambogini who was initially her band member/voice trainer and eventually her bed warmer, to Mofe Duncan, to a certain hotelier in Victoria Island, to a titled chief in Imo state that almost got married to her, to a controversial  pastor, who is also a two time divorcee, among numerous others.

Right now she's enjoying in the arms of Daniel Adenimokan, who was once married to another actress, Doris Simeon. They were alleged to have engaged in a secret wedding and recently rumour rented the air that Stella was pregnant which she eventually debunked on her facebook account.

By now you must begin to ask about the remaining names…haba! You sef too like gossip…But I think you can make up the number by coming up with some more names?

But wait a minute, apart from the shine shine bobo face, a narrow road crossed by 20 different men with legs of different sizes, na wetin remain again? I no talks anything on o …screen fades in…END OF STORY!

We Banned Hijab To Ensure Unity In Schools -LASG Discloses

No comments :

The Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye has applauded the judgment of the Ikeja High Court to uphold the ban of hijab in primary and secondary schools in the State.

Ipaye said that the Lagos State Government is in the forefront of human rights promotion in Nigeria and will not deny its citizens their religious rights.

Justice Modupe Onyeaboha had on Friday, October 17, 2014 dismissed and ruled against the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN) suit against the Lagos State government, saying such practice would affect the secular nature of the State.

In her ruling Justice Onyeabor said Section 10 of the Constitution made Nigeria a secular state and that government must maintain neutrality at all times and therefore had a duty to preserve the secular nature of the institutions concerned.

'Dat Correct Monday Attitude And Fashion Ensemble'

No comments :

-Legendary Diyola

I know what you are thinking now; who discovered mondays, i wish mondays were fridays. Mondays are days reserved for workers to be punished....why does the clock move really fast on monday night and very very slow during working hours in the day.....hahahaha
.....i know its not funny and i also agree with you.

There are some techniques to apply that are capable of changing 'Almighty Monday' to an 'AWESOME Monday' .

  • Try to wake up 30 minutes earlier than the normal time....trust me, you don't want your annoying alarm waking you.
  • One important thing is to look good;wear something great and comfortable. The official colors are white and black (abeg no color riot to work). looking good helps boost your confidence
  • Always wear a good and not too alcoholic fragrance (you don't want to choke your boss to death).
  • some people leave for work smelling like 'old wet clothes'
  • Look forward to something interesting that you do at work; for the ladies the usual 'tatafo' and for the guys there is always one babe somewhere that they admire...and if you do not fall in any of these categories then just look forward to lunch time or even closing time
  • Avoid all kinds of negativity, stay positive all day. Avoid your 'bad belle' boss or co wokers
  • Who says you can't have fun on mondays....you can make everyday seem like friday. Plan an outing with the guys after work and you can forget all about the stress of the day
  • We must learn to smile always,it makes us younger and reduces wrinkles.....though in Naija we only smile when we are paid our salaries and on public holidays. With a good smile you don't need much makeup plus it always attracts good luck...Try it!

Global Institutions To Spend $8 billion on Horn Of Africa
-Sulaimon Mojeed-Sanni

Leaders of global and regional institutions in an historic trip to the Horn of Africa countries; Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda, have pledge political support and major new financial assistance for countries in the region, totaling more than $8 billion over the coming years.

The visit which commences today would be led by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the World Bank Group (WBG) President, Jim Yong Kim, as well as the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group and high level representatives of the African Union Commission, the European Union, the African Development Bank, and Intergovernmental Agency for Development (IGAD) are combining forces to promote stability and development in the Horn of Africa.

On the first day of the joint trip, the World Bank Group announced a major new financial pledge of $1.8 billion for cross-border activities in a Horn of Africa Initiative that will boost economic growth and opportunity, reduce poverty, and spur business activity.

Leading the trip to the Horn of Africa, the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon said "The countries of the Horn of Africa are making important yet unheralded progress in economic growth and political stability. Now is a crucial moment to support those efforts, end the cycles of conflict and poverty, and move from fragility to sustainability. The United Nations is joining with other global and regional leaders to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach towards peace, security and development in the Horn of Africa."

The European Union also announced that it would support the countries in the region with a total of around $3.7 billion until 2020, of which about 10 percent would be for cross-border activities; the African Development Bank announced a pledge of $1.8 billion over the next three years for countries of the Horn of Africa region; while the Islamic Development Bank committed to deploy up to $1 billion in new financing in its four member countries in the Horn of Africa (Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan and Uganda).

The Horn of Africa is said to have a diverse system with some of the fastest growing economies and huge untapped natural resources.

However, it was gathered to also have many extraordinarily poor people and populations that are now doubling every 23 years.

“Unemployment is widespread among growing numbers of young people. Women, in particular, face huge obstacles because of their gender, including limited land rights, limited education, and social customs that often thwart their ability to pursue economic opportunity, and improve living conditions for their families and communities,” he was stated in a press statement posted on World Bank website.

The countries in the region are also said to be vulnerable to corruption, piracy, arms and drug trafficking.

“Terrorism, and related money flows are significant and interconnected threats in the Horn of Africa. People-trafficking is also a growing problem in the region. However, there are commendable efforts being made through regional cooperation in parts of the Horn to tackle the root causes of these problems. The new financing announcement will support those efforts and comes on the first day of the trip (today),” the statement added.
