A certain Mr. Ikechukwu Anajekwu, is currently chilling in Kirikiri Maximum Prison for beating his wife, Obiageli, to death over her inability to bear him children.

Report has it that, the deceased family, Anajekwu had turned their daughter into a punching bag and it was on one of such beatings on January 19, 2015, that the lady slumped and died.

Lamenting over his sister's death, Obiageli's brother told Telegraph thus "When Ikechukwu came for Obiageli's hand in marriage, he told us that he runs a restaurant in Brazil. After the marriage however, he was arrested for drug trafficking. He was imprisoned in Cameroon, but his wife waited patiently for him until he finished his term. Even while he was in prison, my sister said she used to send him money. It was after his return from prison that the marriage began to fall apart.

Ikechukwu became violent and started beating his wife over any real or imagined slight. Our family invited them to the village. The man accused my sister of being a witch. He said she couldn't give him a child after years of marriage.

He also accused her of being responsible for his set back in business.

Orisirisi! This Muslim Pr•stit~te Marries Her Customers For An Hour Then Divorces After The S3x...'sin free service'

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965 An Arab hooker is raking in cash by marrying randy British Muslims for hour-long sex sessions then divorcing them straight afterwards so they can "avoid sinning".

According to TheSunUK, the 25-year-old belly dancer known as Fairuza reportedly performs the quickie service by reading a religious text in Arabic and takes the money as a "dowry". Then once the deed is done, she divorces the two of them from their temporary marriage – "nikah mut'ah" – arrangement.

She told an undercover reporter that once the marriage is up the client must wait three months to request the service again.

In a secret video filmed by the newspaper, she revealed:
"I married myself to you for one hour and agreed upon the money you've given me. It's £300 and £50 for the marriage. If you want to renew it we can do it within three months.
"Even though we do mut'ah, you must still use a condom. I don't do it without condom. Some people think that if you do mut'ah you don't have to use a condom."

She is believed to be one of many Muslim women now offering the guilt-free service.

On a hidden escort advertising website, Fairuza boasts to have "very beautiful natural 34DD breasts" and a "very pretty face with juicy lips". Her Twitter account, which is thought to have recently been deleted, had more than 85,000 followers – all of which could see her raunchy topless posts.

In the video she explains that some men are converting to Shia Islam to take advantage of the sin-free s3x. She explains:
"I did it with one Saudi who converted to Shia Islam only so he could do mut'ah. He was in London for two months. I was his wife for the two months. I lived with him and I wasn't allowed to be with any other man. He paid very good money.

He is coming back next year and we'll do it again."

The International Press Centre, Lagos-Nigeria has called on journalists who will be on electoral duty during Saturday's presidential election to be professional and ethical while also taking their personal safety seriously.
Director of IPC, Mr. Lanre Arogundade said it was imperative for such journalists to present accurate, fair and balanced reports; provide early warning signals of likely outbreak of violence and shun sensational reports.
"We are not saying that journalists should compromise the duty to inform but we are stressing that they should act in the public interest only while reminding them that the code of ethics of Nigerian Journalists, the Nigerian Media Code of Election Coverage, the Electoral Act and the Nigerian Broadcasting Code all require them to engage in factual and credible reporting", Mr. Arogundade said.
He said the warning to journalists to take their personal safety seriously had also become necessary in view of recent documented attacks on journalists by political thugs and law enforcement agents.
Mr. Arogundade recalled that at least eleven incidents of attacks on journalists were recorded in January and February this year across the country. The documentation is being done under a project on safety of journalists and emerging issues in conflict in Nigeria by IPC and UNESCO.
"Two journalists were arrested and detained by the Police in Abuja; one journalist was harassed by the Department of State Security Service (SSS) in Yenogoa; one journalist was assaulted by soldiers in Ado-Ekiti; two journalists were threatened to be shot by Security Men in Birnin Kebbi; one journalist was shot by unknown gunmen in Ughelli, Delta State; one journalist was molested by Officials of SURE-P in Lagos; two journalists were stabbed and assaulted by political thugs in Okrika, Rivers State and one journalist was assaulted by a mob in Delta State", the statement said.
Mr. Arogundade urged journalists to abide with the following tips as they go about their legitimate duties on voting day:
·         Report the facts that you are only aware of; be wary of misleading eye witnesses;
·         Verify information with relevant authorities or agencies before reporting;
·         In case of a dispute, report the different sides and refrain from turning personal opinion into facts;
·         Do not don the insignia of any party or candidate even if your proprietors have partisan interests;
·         Do not ride in the convoys of politicians;
·         Obtain necessary accreditation from INEC and also have on you your organizational Identity Card as well as those of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE); Radio Television and Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) etc;
·         Promptly report any act of intimidation or any form of threat to your Editors, NUJ, NGE, RATTAWU etc;
·         Be impartial and fair;
·         Keep safe distance from mobs or violent scenes.

...............CHARGES LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS NOT TO HARASS JOURNALISTS
IPC also called on law enforcement agencies, especially the Police, to respect the right of journalists to cover and report Saturday's elections.
"It is the legitimate responsibility of journalists to provide the public with reliable information on the voting processes and the law enforcement agencies should refrain from assaulting journalists or treating them as busy-bodies who have no business being on the streets on voting day", Mr. Arogundade said.‎

Read full text below...

Nigerians will be going to the polls on 28 March and 11 April for the 2015 general elections. The success of the elections will be a key factor in the consolidation of Nigeria's democracy. The competitive nature of elections in Nigeria and the high stakes across the country have created an unnecessary atmosphere of fear and anxiety.
The Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) welcomes the decision of the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba to allow voters to remain close to the polling booths until votes are counted and results released. CDD calls on all security agencies to be professional and neutral in the discharge of their duties during the elections.
CDD condemns the rising cases of hate speech, intimidation, harassment and incitement to violence. In this instance, CDD welcomes the recent statement of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda to prosecute "any person who incites or engages in acts of violence in the context of the upcoming elections or otherwise – including by ordering, inciting, encouraging or contributing to the commission of crimes that fall within ICC's jurisdiction."
CDD applauds the joint statement issued by President Goodluck Jonathan and General Mohammadu Buhari on Thursday 26 March 2015 to restrain their supporters from engaging in acts of violence and to respect the outcome of free, fair and credible elections. CDD urges them to go a step further by addressing their supporters directly to refrain from all acts of violence before, during and after the elections.
CDD encourages Nigerians that have collected their PVCs to come out in mass to cast their votes. In addition, CDD admonishes youths to avoid all acts of violence and conduct themselves in a manner that ensures that at the end of the day, our dear country, Nigeria is the true winner of the 2015 general elections.

Who no go ja! Christians Flee Kano Ahead Of Saturday Presidential Polls

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
According to the BBC, an exodus from the mainly Christian quarter of Kano, the commercial centre of northern Nigeria, is taking place ahead of elections this weekend, because of fears of violence.
The main bus station in the Sabon Gari suburb is chaotic as thousands of people cram onto coaches heading to the east or west of the country.
"Kano is now closing for business because of the fear of the unknown," says the chairman of the bus station.
They are anxious to avoid a repeat of the communal violence that followed the vote in 2011 when those from different ethnic or religious groups were singled out for attack.
This year most residents of the mainly Muslim city are supporters of opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari, a Muslim northerner; the people of Sabon Gari are regarded as supporters of incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian southerner.
The Igbo community, who make up the majority in the Kano suburb set aside for non-Muslim residents, has already shrunk considerably in the last few years because of an Islamist insurgency in the north-east.
Originally from the east of Nigeria, they are an important part of the city's economic success, dominating sectors such as the trade in spare vehicle parts.
"Before, we had up to 50 bus companies working here but due to this insecurity some have decided to withdraw - there are less than 10 now," says Chairman Rufus at the Sabon Gari Motor Park, which has been targeted three times by Boko Haram militants.
He says the same is true in the suburb's market as people have left fearing further attacks.
'Hustlers'
"Business is not flourishing; many have sold their sheds and gone down to areas in the east to do their business."
But some feel it is not necessarily the fear that has driven traders away, rather the lack of custom.

Kano's Central Mosque also came in for attack at the end of last year
For Odum Onuigbu, who trades in iron and steel and will be staying in Kano to vote, this has been the biggest problem.
"Igbos are hustlers, we go to many states and countries to invest," he says.
"Now businessmen from other countries, like Niger, Chad, Sudan and Cameroon, are no longer coming to Kano, this is why trade is down - because of the insurgency."
Telecoms engineer Ike Adiba says the security situation has also made life more expensive.
"A lot of 'strangers' have left Kano," he says, using the widely used word for people whose origins do not lie in Kano.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, debunked allegations that he ordered the policemen and vigilante groups to arrest members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fayose, while reacting to an allegation credited to Babafemi Ojudu, representing the Ekiti Central, said the allegation was an attempt by the APC to cause confusion since the party knew it could not win the general elections.

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, Fayose vowed to retrieve government vehicles still in the custody of political appointees under Kayode Fayemi administration because they refused to pay up.‎
"The vehicles were given to them under monetisation policy of the last administration. Since they have refused to pay up for the vehicles, the government will certainly retrieve them. I don't know when retrieval of vehicles amounted to arrest of APC members. When Fayemi came to power in 2010, he equally retrieved vehicles in the hands of political appointees of Segun Oni. The affected appointees did not complain and neither did they go to the press to disparage Fayemi for doing so. The APC is noted for fabricating lies and to defend the lies thinking that it can hoodwink the people. I am advising Ojudu and the APC to channel energy on how to salvage General Muhammadu Buhari‎ and the APC candidates in Ekiti State who are destined for failure in the general elections," he said.

Governor Okorocha Deceived Us Into Protesting Against President Jonathan -Imo APC Women Declares

Hundreds of Imo State women under the aegis of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who yesterday staged a protest in Owerri against the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state, for a town hall meeting with traditional rulers, have accused Governor Rochas Okorocha of misleading them.

The women, who expressed regret over their being used to embarrass the president, claimed that they were deceived and brought to Owerri, the state capital, for a purported seminar only to be turned to protesters against Jonathan's visit.

According to some of the aggrieved women, they arrived at the former chambers of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Owerri, now designated Imo Women Development Centre, WDC, to attend a seminar.

They disclosed to journalists that they only realised that they were mobilised for a protest against the use of the place by some traditional rulers led by the embattled Eze Cletus Ilomuanya to receive President Jonathan.

The protesters had blocked the roads to the centre, a situation which led to policemen and soldiers to disperse them using canisters after all appeals for them to leave the venue were ignored.

One of the women from Okigwe Local Government Area, who gave her name as Mrs. Ngozi Anorue said: "We were invited by the governor for a seminar at the centre. But we didn't know that they only brought us here to protestagainst the president of our country. They invited us aswomen leaders from our communities; that's why you could see hundreds of us.

"We thought we were coming for CGC seminar as they told us; we didn't know we were called out to come and fight their fight.

"Please stop blaming me. Do I have any problem with President Jonathan? I don't. So, why should I come and begin to protest against the president. In fact, most of us believe that we will vote for President Jonathan and later vote for Rochas. So, we were deceived to protest against President Jonathan."

The embittered woman accused the state government of always using the women and children to fight the governor's political battle.

Some of the women sustained injuries during their scuffle with the police and soldiers.

It is those who wants to rig that are afraid of card readers -INEC Boss, Jega Fires

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Attahiru Jega, Wednesday, said he has no regrets for insisting on deploying Smart Card Reader machines for the conduct of the general election, saying he knew that the decision would attract unwarranted attacks on his integrity as a person.
Would-be riggers the ones crying foul, says INEC boss
Jega, who stated this while unveiling the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room in Abuja yesterday,, maintained that it is only those that hitherto nurtured plans to fraudulently manipulate the outcome of the elections, that have been crying foul over the introduction of the technology which he said would only add credibility to the electoral process in the country.
He said that INEC had perfected all its strategies and put every apparatus in place with a view to ensuring a hitch free poll that will reflect the summative choice of Nigerians.
"Let me use this opportunity to reassure Nigerians that we believe that we have done everything possible to ensure that the 2015 general election is successful. We are adequately prepared in terms of both logistics and manpower. Likewise, all the security agencies, especially the police which have a lead role to play in terms of providing security during elections, have assured us that they are ready.‎
"Beginning from today, we are commencing the rolling out of non-sensitive materials. Likewise, from Friday, all the sensitive materials will be retrieved from the vault of the Central Bank Nigeria by our officers, accompanied by security operatives and representatives of the political parties".
He said that the materials would be distributed to states from where it would be taken to local government areas and subsequently to the ward level.

Jega further highlighted the fact that the commission has provided and reasonably equipped Registration Area Centers, RACs, "to ensure that both our staff in various states and security agents spend few hours of the night on Friday there to enable them to be ready to deploy the sensitive materials on the election morning".
He assured that there will be remarkable reduction in the delays that were previously experienced in the commencement of elections, as well as retrieval of materials at the end of election.
However, the INEC boss said it was regrettable that the results of the election will not be electronically transmitted to the collation points. He said though INEC initially piloted the procedure at two previous elections in Cross River and Niger States, "we decided that we will not put the electronic transmission of results to use in 2015 in view of the controversies the procedure might likely generate from those who don't see anything good in what we are doing as a commission.
"We can see the dust that the introduction of card readers raised. So we decided to keep piloting and improving on the system beyond 2015, hopefully, by 2019, the commission will introduce it for the general election".
'They know card readers 'll stop alteration of figures'

On the issue of the card readers, Jega, who stressed that the process will help address concerns about the alteration of election figures to fraudulently confer advantage on some candidates to the detriment of others, said no such thing would happen this time around.
"This is indeed why they have been attacking me because they know that the card reader machines will help us to address all those irregularities, starting from the accreditation of voters at all the polling units. How can they manipulate the election when all the information with regards to the number of voters that turned out at every polling unit is automatically captured and transmitted by the card reader machines?
'We have made rigging impossible for them'
He continued; "We have made rigging impossible for them as there is no how the total number of votes cast at the polling unit could exceed the number of accredited persons. Such discrepancy in figures will be immediately spotted. This technology will further make it impossible for any corrupt electoral officer to connive with any politician to pad-up results", he added.
Besides, Jega noted that in the past, dubious INEC officials usually delayed the entry of number of accredited voters until the end of voting so as to have the leeway to tamper with results, a problem he said would be obviated by the smart card readers.
He said that both the card readers and the result sheets would be taken to the ward levels, "once there is evidence of tampering, the information saved in the card reader will be retrieved.
"To my mind, these are some of the reasons why many of them are opposing the use of the card readers. The crooked ways they used in the past to get away with manipulation of election results have been dealt with. This time, with the card readers, such fraud will be easy to establish.
"We have further made arrangement that all the results coming to local government collection centers will be scanned, transformed to PDF format and uploaded on our website so that anybody can go there and confirm result from his polling unit.
"We believe that this is an added value to our process, it is something that we have not been able to do in the past. Let me also use this opportunity to advise political parties to pay attention to the appointment and accreditation of agents they will deploy at the polling unit level.
They should not appoint people without credibility, who can be bought over by other party agents", Jega stated

The Nigerian military on Wednesday arrested two journalists working for news television, Aljazeera, in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The military accused the journalists, Ahmed Idris and Mustafa Andy, of loitering in areas were combat operations were still ongoing.
The Defence Headquarters, in a statement, said the journalists were moving around "restricted areas" in Yobe and Borno States without protection, accreditation or clearance.
The military said the journalists were monitored by intelligence operatives and were finally restrained to their hotel rooms in Maiduguri following increased suspicion that their activities were focused on interfering with ongoing military operations in those areas.
"The motive, activities and some materials in possession of these individuals are now being investigated," the military said.
The Nigerian military had, last year, warned reporters against unauthorized movements in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States where it fights extremist sect, Boko Haram.
The defence headquarters said Wednesday until reversed, the restriction still stands while appropriate arrangements will be made to assist duly cleared journalists to report on activities in the area under military operation "within the limits of adequate safety, security and necessary procedures".

The wife of the President, Patience Jonathan, says the All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) will send her to jail if he is elected.‎
In a manner typical of a prayer session, Patience, at the Peoples Democratic Party rally in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday, invoked the 'Holy ghost fire' to consume PDP's opponents.

Patience also called on the crowd to vote for the PDP at the polls.

Patience, who had earlier entertained the crowd of supporters by dancing to household music tracks such as 'Kukere' and 'Personally,' said the Goodluck Jonathan-led government was a lover of women and youths in the country and should, therefore, be encouraged to continue.
She said, "I want to warn you not to listen to the All Progressives Congress. The APC does not have materials to match what the PDP has on (the) ground. Their candidate was there in governance initially. What did he do? They only sent your fathers to prison.
"They are planning to even send me to prison. Holy Ghost fire! Holy Ghost fire! Holy Ghost fire! They have nothing to offer. They only say 'I will', 'I will'.
"A train is moving and it has now got to Oyo State. When we talk about train, some of you may have not seen a train before now. The last time a train moved in this country was when I was small and in primary school.
"When my children were small, they asked me what a train was. I had to take them to London and we entered a train from London to Paris. But the PDP government has brought this back to Nigeria. If you want to see train working today, you don't need to travel again."

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Jumoke Akinjide, who spoke earlier, said Jonathan deserved to be re-elected because he gave women 35 per cent representation in his cabinet.
She said, "I enjoin the women and youths of Oyo State to vote for our party on Saturday. I have seen a campaign advert by the APC in the newspapers saying 'God give us men'. But our prayer in the PDP is different. We pray that God gives us men and women.
"Jonathan is the first President in Nigeria to give women 35 per cent. Going by the National Conference report, the President has said that if women have 35 per cent, youths will also have 30 per cent.
"I was looking at the list of the universities set up by this administration, and I saw that one of them was set up even in the hometown of his opponent – Gen. Buhari. I think that if Buhari could not set up a university in his own state, Jonathan has done it and, therefore, deserves to continue."

Other dignitaries at the event were the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Senator Teslim Folarin, his wife, Angela; wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs. Kemi Mimiko, and the party's senatorial candidates in Oyo State.

Is Obasanjo Planning A Coup? Ayo Fayose blasts Former President Again...

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, has asked Nigerians to find out from former President Olusegun Obasanjo whether he is planning a coup or knows people planning to execute one going by Obasanjo's recent fear that there could be a coup plot in the country.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday through his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, the governor said Nigerians needed to ask Obasanjo what formed the basis of his recent utterances.‎
"At his age, one would expect that the former President should stop peddling rumours, as this may cause confusion in the polity.
"Being a former military leader and also a retired general, whatever Obasanjo says will carry weight and some people will believe that. Or is it that General Obasanjo has some 'boys' touting the idea of a coup?
"May be he is the person planning one. But whatever the case is, coup making and plotting are no longer in vogue in the world. Anybody thinking along such a line will be swimming against the tide and the consequences are there.
"After he said he has quit politics and publicly tore his Peoples Democratic Party membership card, peace has returned to the PDP. Obasanjo should wait till after the elections when his candidate will be trounced and see how jubilant Nigerians will celebrate the victory for the continuation of democracy. After the impending victory of President Jonathan, Obasanjo can leave the country or return to prison in protest. The former President should also do away with the primitive idea that anything or anybody not coming from him is not good.
"I advise the former President not to be part of any act that could land him in trouble. He was imprisoned during the Abacha era and a word is enough for the wise," he said.

Governor Fayose added that being a beneficiary of the current democratic dispensation in the country, Chief Obasanjo should do everything humanly possible to defend democracy.
