Breaking! Nigerian Army Reveals Buhari Never Submitted Any Certificate

The Nigerian Army has said it is not in possession of the original or photocopies of the credentials of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
It said at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday that it had a letter from the Principal of Buhari's secondary school, dated 1961, recommending him for enlistment into the military school.

Going Green: See Africa's largest Solar Farm, Can Power 80,000 Homes
The Solar Farm is currently Africa's largest solar power project. Construction was completed in October 2014, and it is now fully operational. With a rated capacity of 96 megawatts, Jasper will produce about 180,000 megawatt-hours of clean energy annually for South African residents, enough to power up to 80,000 homes.
What makes this even better is that Japser won't stay the biggest solar project for long. In the same area, in South-Africa, near the 75-megawatt Lesedi project that came online last May, a 100-megawatt concentrated solar thermal power (CSP) project called Redstone is also under construction.
Look at that scale. The Jasper Project generated about 1 million man-hours of paid work during construction, peaking at over 800 on-site construction jobs.
South Africa has a goal of having 18 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030, so projects like this are definitely steps in the right direction. If there's one thing that South Africa has lots of, it's sunlight!
45% of the total project value was spent on "local content" to help increase the positive economic impact on the area.
The project was developed by a consortium consisting of SolarReserve, the Kensani Group (an experienced empowerment investment player in South Africa), and Intikon Energy (a South African developer of renewable energy projects).
Financing came from local and international sources, including Google and the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), Intikon Energy, Kensani Capital Investments,, the PEACE Humansrus Community Trust, and SolarReserve with Rand Merchant Bank.
The question now is, when would Nigeria's effort in the same solar power generation yield appreciable results?

A pastor at Victory in Christ Gospel Ministry, Egbeda, Chris Onyekachi-Madu, 45, who resides at 1, Bola Kadiri Street in Egbeda area of Lagos State, has told an Igando Customary Court to dissolve his 18-year marriage to his estranged wife, Augusta Madu, for getting pregnant for an Okada man.
He said he doesn't love her anymore because she slept with an Okada man in his house, got pregnant and then packed out to start living with him.
Narrating his ordeal before the court, Madu said his wife, with whom he had two children, started fighting him on a daily basis while also bringing strange men into their home.
He said: "They come to my house at about 11p.m. There was a day I had to interrogate a man that she brought home. She introduced her to me as her pastor."
He said further that his wife brought an Okada man to his house, who she introduced to him as someone that would be taking their children to and from school.
Onyekachi-Madu further stated that the Okada rider, after taking his children to school in the morning and bringing them back, would then take his wife away even in his presence, adding that this happened on three consecutive occasions, after which she slept over the fourth time.
The court President, Rasack Isola-Adeyeri, adjourned the matter to January 28 for judgment.

Redeemed Church Member Cuts Off His Pen¡s To Concentrate On His 21 Days Fasting And Prayer...LOBATAN!

A 27 -year-old man who acclaimed to be a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God had reportedly cut off his penis from his body with a machete in order to concentrate in the ongoing 21 days fasting and prayer programme organized by the church.
The unidentified man who ardently believes that fasting and prayers should be embarked upon with piousness decided to obey the instruction of the Bible that enjoined people to cut off any part of their bodies that will lead them into sin.
According to reports, on Sunday, January 18, 2015 the man was said to be doing great without food and water but revealed that his manhood was obstructing him from getting more devout to God with its little erections on daily basis.
He said,
"The pen¡s has a mind of its own and it is capable of doing things which are totally out of my control. It usually gets erect every now and then, and konji sets in. And you know that konji is one of the things that leads people into sin. The erections were making me weaker spiritually and in the fast. That is why I cut it off. Even Jesus Christ said that we should cut off anything which will make us sin."
His neighbors attacked him thinking he was attempting to perform a ritual until he was able to explain to them what he was doing.
He is currently in one of the hospital in Lagos responding to treatment and hoping that his penis will grow back on his body after the 21 days of fasting and prayers.

Uncovered! Real Reason Buhari Is Travelling To America

Contrary to claims that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress [APC], is travelling to the United States for medical reasons, PREMIUM TIMES has obtained a correspondence indicating Mr. Buhari is only honouring an invitation by the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies [CSIS].
Media reports had suggested some days ago that the APC candidate had become so sick that he was planning a medical trip abroad. Mr. Buhari responded by saying he was not sick but only had cold.
But PREMIUM TIMES has now obtained a letter signed by the Director, African Programme of CSIS, Jennifer Cooke, inviting Mr. Buhari to the organisation's headquarters in Washington DC "to give a major public address on Nigeria's future as it stands on the edge of a pivotal national elections."
Ms. Cooke gave Mr. Buhari the liberty to choose a convenient date for the proposed lecture.
"We propose to hold this event on a day of your choosing on either the week of January 5th or the week of January 26th, 2015 but will of course do our best to accommodate your schedule should you have other preferences."
Travelling at this time would mean Mr. Buhari opted for the week of January 26th.
Ms. Cooke who said the event is expected to attract a large number of United State policymakers, academics, business leaders and members of the diaspora, also told Mr. Buhari that he would be expected to take part in a private off-the-record briefing with a small group of senior US government officials and U.S Congress.
"The event would be on-the-record and given the importance of Nigeria's elections would be certain to attract a large audience of U.S. policymakers, academics, business leaders, and members of the diaspora. Northern Youths Assures Jonathan Victory, Promises 20Million Votes

Northern Youths, under the umbrella body of Arewa Youth Integrity Forum has promised to mobilise 20 million youths across the 19 northern states for President Goodluck Jonathan's second-term bid.
They commended the President for his visit to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital last week, describing it as a bold step.
The youths, in a statement issued by its national president, Hamid Usman, on Sunday in Abuja described Jonathan as a statesman who was sympathetic to the plight of his followers, commending his courage and bravery.
They described the courage shown by the president in "travelling to Maiduguri which is seen as a hotbed for crisis as not only commendable but exemplary for all intending leaders."
While expressing their support for the second-term bid of the President, the group said Jonathan had proved that he had what it takes to drive Nigeria to the next level, having defeated the local content of insurgency and ready to fight the foreign elements that had joined insurgents to make Nigeria ungovernable for the citizenry.
"The president had proved wrong a section of northern elders who said the president can not campaign in the north.
"We are confident that Mr. President will campaign anywhere in Nigeria even the north where it has been proved that he is popular against the propaganda advanced by spent horses.
"We are also confident that he will trump his opponents at the polls."

The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Sa'ad Abubakar III, might not be voting at the upcoming election because he has got no Permanent Voters' Card, PVC.
Abubakar disclosed this in Sokoto when he received President Goodluck Jonathan, who was in the state for a political rally in his palace yesterday.
"Let's respect people's wishes; let's not try to disenfranchise anybody. We have had issues of the PVCs and I want to tell you that even myself, I don't have a PVC, so it means I will not vote on February 14.
"So, we have to look for a way out. It is for your government to now look for what to do; how to ensure that all the cards get to the voters before the voting day or in the alternative, find a way out because in any problem there is a solution and we believe you will find solutions as regard this very serious hitch facing us because millions of Nigerians seem to be heading towards disenfranchisement and they won't be able to vote but I have heard comments from the INEC Chairman. We are still waiting for our cards to come."
The Sultan said the difficulties in obtaining the PVC was one of the challenges bothering him and other leaders as it appeared millions of Nigerians would be disenfranchised during this year's general elections.

Lagos PDP Wants Ambode Disqualified Over...

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State chapter, on Sunday, urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akinwunmi Ambode.
The PDP accused Ambode of breaching Section 91 of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), which stipulates a maximum of N200, 000,000 as fund permitted to be spent by a governorship candidate in an election.
PDP in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani, said according to intelligence report, Ambode has spent over N6.7 billion in campaigning for election in the state.
The party also accused the incumbent Governor Babatunde Fashola of flouting the Electoral Act and INEC rules on civil campaigns by always attacking its governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, at APC rallies.
"Consequently, the PDP has called on EFCC to interrogate Ambode whilst demanding that INEC should summarily disqualify him from contesting at the polls.
The PDP said its intelligence team detected that Ambode had spent at least N6.7 billion on campaign strategies placed as: employing expatriates, board adverts, radio and television Jingles, souvenirs, vehicles and campaign houses etc.
"These, we assert, have been made possible by the over N32 billion local government funds for three months now diverted into the Ambode campaigns."
The party also claimed that Fashola had deployed all government property and paraphernalia to support Ambode.
Such property, according to PDP, include "BRT/Lagbus; footbridges, government offices, roads, state media outfits to mention a few.
"We are not worried that Ambode's campaign is aggressive. It in fact suggests that the APC has nothing to be comfortable about in their governance for 16 years.
"We are, however, uncomfortable because Ambode has spent over N6.7 billion on his campaigns and this fund is made available by Fashola, who is now starving the local government councils.
"Fashola is very unfair to Lagosians. He has abandoned governance and is now attending rallies with Ambode. Laughably, he does not see any achievement to mention at such rallies but to cast aspersions on our candidate, Jimi Agbaje. He has deployed all state advantages to support Ambode. We call on well meaning Lagosians to condemn this action".

Over A Dozen Pregnant Teenagers Rescued From Abia Baby Factory Disguised As Motherless Home

Soldiers from 144 Battalion, Asa, in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State have rescued 14 pregnant teenagers and eight children from a motherless babies' home at Umunkpeyi Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.
Also arrested by the soldiers were six young men, who claimed to be staff of the home, and two girls, aged 16 and 25.
However, the proprietress of the home, Mrs. Nma Charity, is still at large.
It was gathered that Mrs. Charity claimed to be running a government-approved home, but engages in child trafficking and hiring of men who impregnates the teenage girls.
Sources told Vanguard that on delivery, each girl got N20,000, while their babies were sold for between N80,000 and N150,000 for females and males, respectively.
One of the suspects, who was caught at Eke-Akpara in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area, while trying to steal a baby, confessed that he had been in the business with Mrs. Charity for a long period, stating that his role was to steal a child and deliver it to the her, who in turn sold it to her customers.
Acting on the confession of the suspect, the Commanding Officer 144 Battalion, Lt. Col. Omolori Rasheed, ordered his men to raid the home where about 14 pregnant teenagers and six young men were arrested, while the proprietress of the home was away at the time of the raid.
A soldier, who declined to have his name in print, told Vanguard that the babies, between the ages of one and six, and the pregnant teenagers, would be handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and Other Related Matters, NAPTIP, while the other persons would be handed over to the police for prosecution.

PDP Shall Be Held Responsible If Anything Happens To Buhari -APC

The All Progressives Congress, APC Campaign Organisation has said it would hold the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, responsible should any misfortune befall its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari after reading a front page wrap-around cover advertisement on yesterday's edition of some newspapers in which Nigerians were asked to choose between life and death.
The APC campaign team through a statement signed by Mallam Garba Shehu, the Director of Media and Publicity of the Campaign described the development as the height of political desperation.

The APC campaign team through a statement signed by Mallam Garba Shehu, the Director of Media and Publicity of the Campaign described the development as the height of political desperation.

Former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, on Monday declared his support for Gen. Mohammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the upcoming elections.
Speaking while receiving Buhari who visited him in Minna, Babangida said ''all of us will support you in this course to salvage this country''.
He said that the APC's candidate's doggedness in sacrificing to salvage Nigeria would not be lost.
"I wish to congratulate members of the party for the honour of nominating my colleague, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, as your presidential candidate in 2015 elections''.
He said that the he and Buhari fought the battle to keep Nigeria indivisible, adding that such traits were attributes of patriots.
Earlier, Buhari said that the APC would commence a salvation crusade in Niger, adding that the calibre of people in APC in the state was a testimony.
He thanked Babangida for the support and cameraderie he had enjoyed over the years and assured him that Nigeria was on the verge of change.
He said that APC was set to take over the state with the calibre of the candidates presented for various offices and the quality of those that decamped from the ruling PDP. (NAN)

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has ruled politics out of the reduction of fuel price from 97 to 87 naira.
There have been arguments on social media since the Minister of Petroleum made the announcement on Sunday.
Some observers say the President wanted to use the reduction to win the heart of the people ahead of the February 14 presidential election.
However, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, said the administration was only trying to make life little tolerable for Nigerians.
Metuh during the media briefing insisted that President Goodluck Jonathan's administration had also been fair to the Northern region in terms of projects, political appointments and establishment of Almajiri schools.
He said: "The present administration has done a lot more for the three zones in the north than any of the administration before it in the areas of agriculture, education, roads, railways and many more."
Speaking on the activities of Boko Haram in the northeast, Metuh said the sect would have overrun half of the country if not for the person and character of President Jonathan.
"The problem that we have in the northeast to deal with is insurgency. It is not the making of this government, but this government has tried as much as possible to contain it.
"If not for the character, candour, the personality of the President, these insurgents would have overrun more than half of Nigeria. We would have been under occupation of terrorists if not for the determination, the style and the character and personality of the President," Metuh stated.
The party chieftain expressed optimism about the February 14 presidential poll, noting that that the PDP would win convincingly in the six geo-political zones in the country.
He said: "PDP will win in the North-West, North-Central, North East, South-South, South-East and South-West. APC will not win in any of the zones and our victory will be very convincing.
"It has nothing to do with politics. This is not the first time that we have had fuel price decrease in this country. You will recall that when the late President Umaru Yar A'dua came into office, he reduced the pump price from N75 to N65. And it was on N65 for a very long time. That was not politics".
