Seemingly confirmed rumours are currently flying around like the harmattan dust that Stanley Duru, the Husband of Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye wil likely get married to Nkiru Sylvanus one of these days.

Stanley Duru is the father of Oge Okoye's two children and it is alleged that Stanley and Nkiru are so much into each other and so serious about their love affair that in a matter of days, the two would tie the knot.

A new twist to the story however emerged as those in the know claim it was Oge who initially snatched Stanley from Nkiru, and now Nkiru has snatched her man back. As insane as this story may sound, the percentage of it being true is up to 98%

Earlier today, Oge Okoye's posted pictures of her son's birthday but incidentally the boy's father wasn't found in any of the photos.‎

In a 2011 interview, Oge had revealed that "My marriage is not going through any stress at all as my husband and in-laws are making life so enjoyable for me, giving me plenty of love and so fiction writers and rumor mongers should go and find another job to keep them busy as we are very fine and we always laugh over all these yeye talks whenever we read them,"‎apparently this was before the honeymoon came to a sad end...

Also recently, Nkiru Sylvanus who is a former SA to the Imo state Governor and current DG of the state's film institute revealed that l"there is nothing wrong in marrying a married man"...a statement which now appears to be a warning sign she had given all but nobody paid attention to.

Only months ago, news went viral after indigenous crooner Abolore Akande aka 9ice got the delivery of yet another baby from his newest baby mama Olasunkanmi Ajala.

BlackBox Nigeria was however stunned when we stumbled on christmas photos released from the couple's camp which showed Sunkanmi with yet another bulging tummy. Although some observers claim it might be baby fat from her last pregnancy but it appears Ms Ajala is preggy again.

Before Sukanmi's last baby, 9ICE had three previous kids from ealier relationships. A boy (Zion) with estranged wife Toni Payne and Twin Girls with Abuja based Vicky Godis.

Beyonce goes around shopping for $70 million houses while her sister Solange is getting dogged by the taxman almost immediately after she got hitched.

According to TMZ, Solange needs to settle up with the State of California, which claims she owes more than $55,000 in taxes for 2010-12.

And to add insult to injury … the tax lien was filed 3 days after Solange tied the knot.

Chelsea and former Ivory Coast captain, Didier Drogba has reportedly been named in a fresh cheating scandal with Miss Netherlands 2014, Tatjana Maul.

According to news making the rounds, the former Galatasaray star is said to be in a secret romantic relationship with the model although both the Ivory Coast-born Chelsea legend and the model involved in the controversy are yet to comment over the cheating allegations.

Drogba, who is already a father of three, got married to his long time girlfriend, Diakite Lalla at the Marie de Monaco, France back in 2011.‎

MINISTER of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, has said the Federal Government is set to sponsor 100 first class graduates for further studies abroad.

He spoke on Sunday in Kano during a media interaction and an awards ceremony.

Shekarau said the100 first class materials would be sponsored under the Special Presidential Scholarship Programme.

According to him, President Goodluck Jonathan has instructed the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) to select the best graduates and secure admissions for them to study up to doctorate level in universities abroad.

"President Jonathan instructed that best students should be screened all over the country irrespective of their locations for scholarships outside the country," he said.

Shekarau said the first batch had been screened and would soon leave the country to study in the best 25 universities in the world.

The minister said as part of the government's effort to provide Nigerians qualitative education some university lecturers had been sponsored for various training locally and abroad.

"The lecturers will study both within and outside Nigeria under the Tertiary Educational Trust Fund (TETFund).‎

The APC Vice Presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo was spotted at the "Olamide Live in Concert" yesterday quite having an exciting time. The event which took place at the Eko Hotel & Suites had an array of celebrities as well as top political players..

Prof Osinbajo who sat beside the chairman of the Lagos Internal Revenue Service; Tunde Fowler was observed having fun with friends and smiling all the way through the event‎.

Indications have emerged that only 13 political parties would field presidential candidates in the 2015 elections.

The parties and their candidates are the People Democratic Party, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; the All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); Action Alliance, Tunde Anifowose-Kelani; Kowa Party, Prof. Oluremi Sonaiya; United Progressives Party; Chief Chekwas Okorie; and National Conscience Party, Chief Martin Onovo.

Others are African Democratic Congress, Dr. Ibrahim Nani; United Democratic Party, Godson Okoye; Alliance for Democracy, Rafiu Salau; Peoples Party of Nigeria, Kelvin Alagoa; Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, Alhaji Ganiyu Oseni; African Peoples Alliance, Alhaji Adebayo Ayeni; and Hope Democratic Party, Ambrose Owuru.‎

Ahead of the 2015 general elections, Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo has told the Independent National Electoral Commission that his Bachelors and Masters degrees certificates in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, have been consumed by fire.

Sambo, who is the Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, made the declaration in the documents he filed with INEC and displayed on the commission's office in Abuja although the details of the fire that consumed the certificates were not given.

Sambo's papers were received and stamped in INEC headquarters between December 10 and 18, 2014.The VP's declaration was validated by two letters from the ABU, a copy of which was obtained by The PUNCH on Sunday.

The first letter, signed by one Alhassan Garba for the institution's registrar under the title, "To Whom it may Concern: Mohammed Namani Sambo," read, "I certify that the above-named person having completed an approved course of study and passed the prescribed examinations was awarded the Bachelor of Science (Architecture) with Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in 1976 by the Senate of this University. His original certificate got burnt. Please treat his case in view of this certification. Thank you."

The second letter, also signed by Garba for the ABU registrar, read, "I certify that the above-named person having completed an approved course of study and passed the prescribed examinations was awarded the Master of Science (Architecture) on May 25, 1978 by the Senate of this University. His original certificate got burnt. Please treat his case in view of this certification. Thank you."‎

Award winning Nigerian actress, Genevieve Nnaji is the latest celebrity Chief. Genevieve took to her Instagram page yesterday, Sunday December 28, 2014 to announce that she has been awarded a chieftaincy title in her home town in Imo State.

The 2014 edition of All Africa Music Awards, held on Saturday, December 27, at the Grand Ballroom of the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, and it was a big win for Nigerian artistes.

There was no doubt that BET Best African Act, Davido, is the rave of the moment as the young man bagged yet another Artiste of the Year award, Best African Hip Hop (Aye) and the Best Male West Africa award.

African King of pop, 2face Idibia, who was also the host of the ceremony, went home with Best African RnB and Soul Award, while D'banj also won Best African Collaborations (Cocoa Na Chocolate)

Mavin Record boss, Don Jazzy, also collected award for the Producer of The Year, while Nick Laoye was honoured with Best Female Artiste African Inspirational Music.

Other Nigerian artistes who won awards at the show are P-Square (Best African Group/Duo or Band), Brymo (Songwriter of the Year), Yinka Iyanda (Best Traditional African Music) among others.

The International Committee of AFRIMA also paid tribute to lives affected by the scourge of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in some West African states and terrorist insurgency in Northern Nigeria, Somalia and part of Kenya. The tribute programme was anchored by ONE, an international campaigning and advocacy organisation of more than six million people taking action to end extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.

The General Overseer of Christ Worshippers' church, Osubi, Warri, Prophet (Dr) Duromola Adedayo Samuel has warned senators planning to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan to exercise caution as impeaching the president could throw the country into a crisis that could degenerate into a bloody civil war. 

While speaking on the state of the nation in Warri, the prophet said, "Those senators who lost out in their bid for reelection are joining plot with opposition senators to impeach the president. They should be careful because such action would cause trouble in Nigeria, it will be so bloody that it will be another civil war. Today we are talking about falling oil price, then, you won't even see the oil. I stay in Warri and I know what the people of the Niger Delta are waiting for. It will be bloody, so the senators should in the best interest of the country forget their plans to impeach the president."

The prophet also accused the senators of being selfish and putting their personal interest ahead of national interest. "The only reason that some senators want to impeach the president is because they did not get automatic ticket to return in 2015. That is selfish in my opinion," he said.
However, Prophet Duromola said that the only way to remove Jonathan from office was through the ballot and the ballot must not be rigged otherwise, the consequences would be bloody.  

While speaking on the 2015 general elections, the prophet who recently bagged a doctorate degree said that even if the elections were repeated ten times, Jonathan would win. "I've said it before that Jonathan's ascension to power is what God has ordained. No matter the opposition, Jonathan will still be victorious. That is the will of God."
