Nurse On Duty R»ped By Armed Robbers Who Invaded Hopsital...v¡rginity lost!!!

Some robbers have raided a Lagos hospital on Santa Maria Street, in the Egan, Igando area of Lagos State.‎
It was learnt that after carting away valuables of patients, they also r»ped an 18-year-old auxiliary nurse in the hospital.
The incident happened around 4am on Thursday last week.
It was gathered that it was the third time the robbers would attack the hospital in a year.
It was further learnt that the robbers stormed the hospital around 3am, scaling the fence before gaining entrance.
They also reportedly overpowered a 19-year old security guard in the hospital and tied him with ropes before locking him up in a room.
A source said the worker on night duty were attacked and injured and when the robbers failed to make appreciable looting, they resorted to raping the auxiliary nurse in turns.
He said, "The girl was actually the one who went to the police station to report. She accused the management of the hospital of dereliction of duty and said she was r»ped by the men.
"She also alleged that the owner of the hospital did not provide adequate security for his workers and subjected her to mental torture by losing her v¡rginity through r»pe."
He added that the medical director of the hospital was arrested, but later released on bail.
The hospital's medical director, Dr. Ademola Dominic, confirmed the incident to our correspondent, but said the victim was not r»ped.
He also said he was never arrested by the police.
He said, "It is an everyday affair here. The robbers come to the street almost every time to rob residents. It is the third time they would come to the hospital. They came in and dispossessed patients of their valuables.
"When the incident happened, we took her through some tests and discovered she was intact. She is still a v¿rgin and nothing happened to her. It is just that as a young girl, she suffered some shocks and that is all.
"But if you heard she was r»ped, well, maybe she was a victim of circumstances and that obviously was not my fault. If I have a house and robbers raid my house and then r»pe somebody, is that my fault?
"I am doing all these because of the girl. And if it is her parents or anybody that spreading wrong information, I don't think I am to blame. I have already tried my best."
He said security had been beefed up in the area to forestall a recurrence.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, Kenneth Nwosu, said he was not aware of any incident at the hospital.
In a text message, he said, "We have no such case."

Shocker! New Governor Denied Entry Into Office On First Day At Work As Keys Were Missing

What can be regarded as a shocker was recorded in Delta State, as newly sworn-in governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, was denied access to his office at the government house, Asaba, the state capital.
According to an unconfirmed report published by Daily Independent, the shocking incident occurred while the governor was shown round offices and halls within the complex by the permanent secretary, Benson Oburoh, who eventually wouldn't be able to present the keys to his office.

The unpleasant surprise left many with insinuations that ex-governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, might still be holding on to the keys as a result of an alleged cold relationship with the new governor.
While some vindicated Uduaghan, saying the incident was the fault of some aides to the new governor, who are believed to be supervising some repairs in the office, some people claimed that the mix-up was a deliberate action by the ex-governor.
Okowa's denial from his office will, however, not stop the governor from proceeding for a prayer session at the government house chapel, which had in attendance his wife, Edith, deputy governor, Kingsley Otuaro, politicians and staff of the complex.
Meanwhile, Okowa, who had earlier denied having any rift in his political relationship with ex-governor, Uduaghan, beat his closest rival, chief Great Ogboru of the Labour Party to emerge winner of governorship election in April.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to give him the privilege of nominating an Ekiti State indigene for appointment into his (Buhari's) cabinet.
Fayose was one of Buhari's biggest opponents in the build up to the March 28 presidential election.
Fayose made the appeal in a statement issued on Tuesday.
He explained that he had written to Buhari on the issue and was hopeful that the President's reply would be favourable.
Fayose said, "I shall be happy to nominate a worthy and competent professional, who can always oblige Your Excellency and your cabinet the benefit of a second opinion in the serious business of governance."
The governor explained further that he wrote the letter based on Buhari's declaration that he would put the overall interest of the country above every other particularly political partisanship and bias.
"Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo who was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, appointed the late Chief Bola Ige as the Minister for Justice despite Ige being a chief of the opposition Alliance for Democracy," Fayose said.
The governor also hinted that his letter was on the strength of Section 147 sub (2) and (3) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which states: (2) Any appointment to the office of the Minister of the government of the Federation shall, if the nomination of any such person to such office is confirmed by the Senate, be made by the President. (3) Any appointment under sub-section (2) of this section by the President shall be in conformity with the provision of section 15 (3) of this constitution provided that in giving effect to the provision aforesaid, the President shall appoint at least one Minister from each state, who shall be an indigene of such state.
Fayose, therefore, urged Buhari to accord him the honour and privilege to name the minister that would come from Ekiti State.

Sepp Blatter says he will resign as president of football's governing body FIFA amidst corruption scandals.‎
In announcing his exit, the 79-year-old Swiss has called an extraordinary Fifa congress "as soon as possible" to elect a new president.
Blatter was re-elected last week, despite seven top Fifa officials being arrested two days before the vote as part of a US prosecution.

A separate criminal investigation by Swiss authorities into how the 2018 and 2022 World Cups were allocated is also under way.
"I am very much linked to Fifa and its interests. Those interests are dear to me and this is why I am taking this decision," added Blatter.
"What counts most to me is the institute of Fifa and football around the world."

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Tuesday visited the scene of a petrol tanker explosion in Iyana -Ipaja area of the state.
Properties worth several millions of naira were destroyed in the ensuing inferno.
The governor blamed the frequent tanker explosions in the state on carelessness and indiscipline of truck drivers, saying the trend must stop.
He said, "As at 1am this morning, a tanker loaded with 33,000litres of petrol fell from Ipaja Bridge and spilled all its contents within the environs of Ipaja, covering almost five streets from here.
"In the last four hours, all our emergency agencies have been effectively on ground and we have been able to manage and control consequences of what 33,000 litres of petrol would have done to this neighbourhood.
"Thank God, there has not been any loss of lives, but again, there were victims whose shops were destroyed.
"As at the last count, the agencies have been able to report that everything had been put under control. We've also recorded two other incidences, just like this one in other parts of Lagos overnight, one in Badagry and the other one in Ojo area of the state..
"It would also mean that our tanker drivers have to start to do something about their operations. We cannot continue to record loss of lives and properties because our tanker drivers ‎are not disciplined."
The governor said the state government would assist those that lost properties in the incident to return back to business.
"I would receive the report of the fire incident in the next 48 hours and we would ensure we do something positively to ensure that lives return to normal," he said.

No fewer than 21 vehicles and 44 stalls were razed on Tuesday morning following a spillage from a petrol tanker which fell off the Iyana-Ipaja Bridge in Lagos.‎
The tanker fell off the bridge at 1.30 am, spilling its product into the drainage within some streets in Abule-Oki Community of Alimosho Local Government Area.
NAN reports that the areas affected were Ipaja Road, where the tanker landed, Oremeji Street, Jafajo Street, Oki Street, Adebajo Street and some parts of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
Mr Razak Fadipe, the Director of Lagos State Fire Service, said he received a call about the incident at 1.35 a.m., and dispatched two fire fighting trucks to the scene.
Fadipe said: "On arrival there, we discovered that three streets were directly involved in the inferno.
"So we began active firefighting operations with the assistance of the public and was able to bring the situation under control.
"With the inspection carried out after the fire-fighting operation, we discovered that electrical cables and poles were involved.
"Three houses, 21 different vehicles and six tricycles popularly called `Keke Marwa' were consumed by the fire as well as the tanker itself."
Fadipe appealed to the owners of articulated vehicles conveying combustible products to ensure that they employed reasonable and responsible drivers to avert such occurrences in future.
Mr Kehinde Adebayo, the spokesman for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), told NAN that no life was lost in the inferno.
He said 14 persons were treated for minor injuries and were later discharged by the staff members of the Lagos State Ambulance Service.
An eye witness, Mr Segun Atanda, said he was driving his commercial bus when the tanker fell off the bridge and landed on Ipaja Road.
"We ran out from the bus because we saw fuel coming out and a few minutes later, there was a huge explosion and everywhere was ignited with fire from the explosion."
Also, a security operative , Mr Kabiru Adeyomo, said he was carrying out patrol on Jafojo Street at 1.30 a.m., when he suddenly discovered that fuel was flowing inside the gutter.
Adeyomo said: "I started calling people out from their houses to come out and see fuel inside gutter.
"Just as I was doing that, the transformer sparked and it caught fire. The fire entered the gutter and started burning the vehicles parked in the street."
Mr Kasali Adegoke, the Chairman of Jafojo Street Residents Association alleged that 17 cars were burnt beyond repair despite the efforts made by residents to quench the fire.
Adegoke, therefore, appealed to the government to assist those who lost their property to the fire outbreak.
Similarly, Mrs Deborah Ogundairo, a widow whose house was affected by the inferno and Mr Taiwo Ogbe, whose Volkswagen Golf car was razed, also appealed for some assistance from the government.
A wine-shop owner, Mr Ifeanyi Uchechi, said he lost his entire stock estimated at N500,000 to the inferno.

Operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, are currently investigating a member of tricycle-snatching gang operating in Lagos and its environs.
The suspect, identified as Emmanuel Godwin, aged 28 from Edo State, said he was just a tricycle snatcher and not an armed robber, since he does not use guns.
Godwin said he started snatching tricycles to get rich quick and solve most of his problems.
It was learned that the suspect and members of his gang pose as passengers, board a tricycle, get to a convenient place, push the driver out and zoom off.
He also looked for tricycles parked along the street, in front of a compound or even near a restaurant.
It was gathered that Godwin was first arrested by the Zonal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, ZSARS, January 1, while attempting to steal a tricycle.
However, luck ran against him when he stole another tricycle last week and the owner decided to report to the state's SARS.
Following an investigation personally led by officer in charge of SARS, Abba Kyari, the suspect was nabbed at Ijora, where he went to sell a tricycle he stole.
He was arrested when he was asked to come and collect money from a potential buyer, who needed a tricycle urgently and had cash to pay, not knowing that the purported buyer was a SARS operative.
Emmanuel said: "I am a tricycle snatcher, not an armed robber because I don't use gun. I steal from park and when I ask tricycle rider for a test drive and he allows me, I run away with the tricycle.
"The market price of a tricycle is N400,000. But I used to sell each tricycle for N60,000. I stole five tricycles and sold them to one Aye at Ijora.
"I also sold two to one Liwan. Aye still owes me for two tricycles I sold to him, while Liwan is yet to pay for another I sold to him."

South African Football Association President, Danny Jordaan, has reportedly confirmed that South Africa paid $10m after the country won a bid to host the 2010 World Cup. Jordaan however insists that the payout was not a bribe to FIFA officials.
The Sunday Independent reported that Jordaan said the money was paid to the Confederation of North, Central American and the Caribbean Football Association in 2008.
Last week, the United States Justice Department claimed a South African bid official paid a bribe for the hosting of the 2010 football
spectacle. Seven officials of the world football body have also been arrested for allegedly being part of the international scandal involving millions of dollars stretching back 24 years.
Jordaan was quoted as saying the $80m was paid directly over to South African football authorities in 2008 for the football tournament. A further $20m was allocated to build SAFA House and $10m was paid to CONCACAF.
Jack Warner, who has been implicated in the bribery scandal, was the head of the association at the time.

Shocking! FG Withdraws N2.4B Corruption Case Against APC Chieftain, Timipre Sylva

More surprise has continue to welcome the withdrawal by the Federal Government a case involving former Bayelsa Governor and strong APC chieftain, Timipre Sylva.
The Director of Public Prosecution in the Federal Ministry of Justice, M.S. Diri had on Monday withdrew the case from court even to the chagrin of EFCC.
Sylva was standing trial for an alleged embezzlement of over N2.4 billion.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that this is following an earlier withdrawal by the Prosecution council, Festus Keyamo who recently abandoned the case. While the EFCC assigned someone else to prosecute the case, the DPP decided to withdraw it totally.
Sylva's lawyer, Israel Ologundare (SAN) didn't oppose the withdrawal but rather requested the court to order that his client's passport be returned while future arrests on same charges be prevented.
The presiding Judge, Justice Evoh Chukwu strucked out the case and ordered that Sylva's passport be returned to him.
The conversation has however moved online with many condemning the move saying the new government might have shot itself in the leg in its fight against corruption. Chief Timipre Sylva was the head of the Muhammadu Buhari Inauguration committee team and many have observed that the presidency might have decided to let him walk for obvious reasons...
