BlackBox Nigeria findings has shown that 'Hooker' which describes a whore has not always been an official name. Rather it was the name of a general in the American army.
General Joseph Hooker would keep a number of prostitutes to follow his Army and to help keep his men's moral up. The prostitutes were referred to as Hooker's brigade.
With time, people started referring to prostitutes generally as Hooker's brigade and before long, the name 'Hooker' got stocked on everyone's lips.
Prostitution, a practice of having sexual relations in exchange for payment OR some other benefit has been described as the oldest occupation in the world.

I appeal to the Federal Government to treat the insurgency with maximum effort, and listen more to advice of statesmen in the region as current strategies are not working too well.
International help has been offered to fight this insurgency. I believe strongly, that we should take these offers seriously. Our citizens are dying!

SS2 Vs SS3! Secondary School Students Brandishes Machetes, Other Dangerous Weapons During "Inter Class Fight"

It was a shocking sight today as students of St. Mary Grammar school situated at Owan West Local government of Edo state engaged one another in a fight leading to the use of dangerous weapons.
BlackBox Nigeria exclusively gathered that the trouble began when a teacher called senior students to discipline some SS2 students. The boys in question called the bluff of the SS3 folks which led to a riot-like situation in the school.
The Principal of the school was not available for comments as at the time of posting this report but BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the school is known for its notoriety in the area.
A female corp member who spoke to BBN disclosed that "ever since I was posted here, there has been different fights between students and most times they use several dangerous weapons".
The Corp member further disclosed that the fear for her life has made her avoid going to school most times as "one cannot predict when the students would strike again."

Reports reaching BlackBox Nigeria has it that officers of The Nigerian AirForce today stormed the Muritala Muhammed International Airport beating up people indiscriminately.
BlackBox Nigeria's source sent in a message that this occurred around 2pm with many individuals arrested and taken to an undisclosed location.
"Airforce has been harassing and arresting people here. They went to the extent of beating up people and as I speak to you now, they have moved some people probably to their base."
The source further revealed that a press man who questioned the acts of the officers was mercilessly beaten up. He further disclosed that the problem actually started last week.
It was further discovered by BBN that the officers invaded offices at the arrival wing last week, arrested people and took them to Ebisam Police Station where they were detained for about 10hours until they were released around 11Pm when people back at work got wind of their location.
An official of Aviation Security (AVSEC) however disclosed to our correspondent that he does not know on whose orders the officers are acting.

The All Progressives Congress have postponed its governorship primary election from 15th November to the 2nd of December.

Reversed Thinking, Europe Owes Africa
From self perceived indicators and oral history handed down to us, Africans
in the early days of man were living without clothes, shoes and living primitive
lifestyle. In other words, Africa was an uncivilized dark continent. Historians
of Western origin have it that Africans live on trees, had no language, no
culture, no philosophy, no religion, no education, no science and to crown it
all,
The Europeans in their wild imagination came to give us civilization and all these things they assume we lack. Could it be that Africa was civilized but they were blind to note or they purposely closed their eyes and minds in a calculated attempt to denigrate and pull our culture, customs and traditions down and claim we never had them? Has anyone thought that the Europeans strategically halt African civilization because they realized we were far ahead of them?
Had the trend of Africa’s development been sustained, Europe may not have any opportunity to rule
the world which is their primary aim. They came in their number(s) to Africa
from all part of Europe. They force their religion and culture on us. They took
away our fast growing formal educational system in Egypt. They took away our
professors. They abolished and condemned our religion, cultures, informal
educational system, Arts, music, farm produces and to add salt to injuries,
they took away our able human resources.
African God(s) is/are not dead. Look at the wonders in the world today. Let's ask ourselves some questions. Where western civilization or globalization is taking us to now? The world fashion trend is taking us back to nakedness. The Europeans no longer worship God. They called unbelievers, today, export religion to them. How many persons there in America and Britain go to church again? Apart from Roman Catholic Church, how many European churches can one freely associate with? Go to their churches all over Europe, African pastors are leading them. We (Africans) are now the ones showing them or reminding them of their God(s).
They claimed we were moving naked earlier, unknown to our great grandparents that Europeans were jealous of their ways of life. The Europeans are now striving so hard to do what Africans were doing in the 12th centuries. One of their claims is that Africans live on trees just because our grandparents believes man must cohabit with nature. “Look at these wayo people", they made our grandparents fall almost all these trees in a bid to export as timbers, now they are crying for deforestation and climate change. They now grow trees and flowers all over their compounds and houses. Some of them even live in wooden houses, claiming its environmental friendly. Isn't that reverse thinking?
Europeans claimed Africans cannot reason, think and that we do not have minds of our own. Today, the best doctors in the world today are Africans. The best computer operator(fastest computer) in America is a Nigerian. Most of the professors in their universities today are Africans. The best brains behind software manipulations, programming and Social Medias are Africans.When African youths read wide, they would understand how Europeans underdeveloped Africa politically, economically, and socially. Over 500 years of slavery, colonialism and current day neo-colonialism, needs to be paid for. Dem must pay o. Who said they will not pay?

Burkina Faso Parliament Set On Fire By Protesters
Protesters angry at plans
to allow Burkina Faso's President Blaise Compaore to extend his
27-year-rule have set fire to parliament.
Earlier, the military reportedly fired at protesters who stormed parliament.
Parliament was due to consider changing the constitution so that Mr Compaore can run for office again next year.
He first took power in a coup in 1987, and has won four disputed elections since then.
The opposition has called for a campaign of civil disobedience to demand that he steps down in next year's elections.
State television has gone off air after protesters stormed the building housing it and ransacked it, Reuters news agency quotes a witness as saying.
Smoke could be seen billowing from parliament.
Police had earlier fired tear gas to prevent protesters from moving in on the parliamentary building.
But about 1,500 people managed to breach the security cordon and were ransacking parliament, AFP news agency reports.
Protesters were setting fire to documents and stealing computer equipment; cars outside the building are also on fire, it reports.

28-Year Old Mechanic Abducts 13-yr-old Girl, Rapes Her For 5 Days

A Lokoja senior magistrate's court has remanded a 28-year-old mechanic, Abdulkadir Salihu, in prison custody for allegedly abducting and raping a teenage girl for five days.
Mrs Joyce Abdulmalik of Lokoja Senior Magistrate Court 1 gave the order, yesterday, in her ruling on arraignment of the accused in Lokoja.
According to Vanguard, the accused was arraigned on a two-count charge of kidnapping and rape, being offences contrary to Sections 273 and 283 of the Penal Code Law.
Prosecuting police officer, Corporal Ubi Ubana, told the court that one Adama Ibrahim of Galilee Street, Lokoja reported the matter at the 'A' Division Police headquarters and Department of Criminal Investigation, Lokoja on October 23.
According to him, Ibrahim had alleged that on October 16, at about 1:25 pm, his niece (names withheld), aged 13, was sent to buy Okro from Adankolo New Layout Market, when the accused "enticed her into his house on Agbai Street."
The accused, who he said did this without the consent of her guardian, also had carnal knowledge of the victim without her consent.
He added that Salihu went further to lock up the girl in his room from October 16 to 20 of same month, to enable him have unfettered access to her.
"During the period, he had sex with his captive for several times before releasing her on October 20," he said.
Ubana who told the court that investigation into the case was ongoing, and urged it to remand the accused in Koton-Karfe prisons, in view of the enormity of his offence.
In her ruling, Abdulmalik upheld the submission of the prosecution and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Medium Security Federal Prisons, Koton-Karfe and subsequently adjourned the case to November 10 for mention.

School of Communications, Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Lai Oso, has said that the state of the country's education calls for concern, noting that one of his major regrets in life is the state of decay that had befallen the country’s education.
The
University professor, who has chaired the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative
Reporting panel on numerous occasions said sometimes he wish there could be
better opportunities for students in the country.
“When I was an under graduate the
kind of opportunities we have and when I look at some of my students now, I see
that they do not have same. I enjoyed a federal scholarship for my Ph. D, many
of them may not have that same opportunity yet they are brilliant, those kinds
of things give me a lot of concern,” the Professor of Mass Communication noted.
Adding his voice to the issue of
obnoxious school fees payment, Professor Oso, said if this was the price paid
in his time, he would not have seen the four walls of a university.
“Thank God the LASU school fees
has been reduced, you would see brilliant students who cannot cope. When I was
an undergraduate, how much are we paying? If I was to pay the kind of fees they
are asking students to pay now, maybe somebody like me would not have seen the
four walls of a university. Those are the kind of things you think of and would
want to say God need to help us,” he stated

Newcastle United knocked Capital One Cup holders Manchester City out of the competition last night as they won at the Etihad for the first time in their history.
Alan Pardew's side, who secured a fine win against Tottenham in the Premier League at White Hart Lane this past weekend, started brightly as teenager Rolando Aarons volleyed the ball through the legs of Willy Caballero after just six minutes.
Things got worse for City just minutes later, as tricky Spaniard David Silva had to be replaced after picking up a knock.
In truth, the Magpies looked solid throughout the opening half, as Pardew's side continued to utilise their pace on the break. City, who had the likes of Eden Dzeko, Stevan Jovetic, Yaya Toure and others at their disposal created a few opportunities, but failed to take them.
And it was the same story in the second-half, with both sides creating opportunities in an extremely open game. Newcastle were stunned with a quarter of the game remaining as they were denied a clear penalty after Gabriel Obertan was brought down by Alexander Kolarov.
However, Pardew's side weren't to be denied for long, as they doubled their lead thanks to a piece of individual brilliance from Moussa Sissoko.
Pardew's men lived dangerously at the end, but fully deserved their famous win at the Etihad on an historic evening for the club.

"Mikel Obi Is A True Proffesional" -Chelsea Boss, Mourinho Hails Nigeria Star

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has praised the professionalism of Super Eagles midfielder John Obi Mikel for keeping up his performance when needed despite losing his spot in the team.
The manager in his post-match conference after defeating Shrewsbury 2-1 highlighted the Nigerian and Goalkeeper Petr Cech as players who should ordinarily be regulars in the team for big games, but were not bothered and put up a good showing in the game against the team from league two, the fourth tier in English football.
"I had people like Petr Cech and Mikel, people with lots of years at the club who would have prefered to start the game at Old Trafford," said Mourinho.
"They didn't and they came here today and gave a fantastic example. After that there are the young boys and they have to follow the spirit and the professionalism of the others.
"Today even if I lost I would have the same kind of words for my players – their respect for the competition, for the opponent, for Chelsea and Chelsea fans was fantastic."
John Obi Mikel has been at Chelsea since 2006 making a total of 214 Premier league appearances with one goal since joining from Lyn Oslo in Norway.

News emanating from the Obafemi Awolowo University has it that a middle aged Man was apprehended while trying to bomb a lecture hall in the university.
Reports says the man identified as Rasaki Adedayo was nabbed in the premises of OAU while trying to blow up Awolowo (Awo) Hall in the school premises.
The alleged culprit, Adedayo was accosted by students who saw in his possession a substance that seemed to be petrol mixed with another chemical. The suspect has been handed over to the police who have begun investigation into the incident.

Fuji artiste, Alhaji Saheed Akorede, better known as Saheed Osupa, have said he is done with throwing jabs at fellow fuji musicians.
The self acclaimed King of Fuji said he might have been silent for some time now, but has not stopped entertaining his teeming fans.
The musician, in a recent chat with a Lagos-based magazine, disclosed that he has stopped throwing jabs at other artistes who challenge him through the lyrics of their songs.
Osupa said he is now a matured singer and does not involve in such attention seeking attitude anymore.
Osupa explained that instead of replying jabs thrown at him, he would devices diplomatic ways of handling the issues. The fuji icon disclosed that he is presently working hard to ensure the release of his album in December 2014.
Osupa in the past had been known to have engaged the likes of Pasuma, Malaika and even Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, K1 in name calling.
