My Adventures With Sikiru, The Okada Rider (Episode4)

Patty was calling that afternoon to find out if we could go to the club with her. I told her James had travelled out of town and that I was all alone at home. She tututted and sympathised with my lonely state then invited me to accompany her to a club. I declined, claiming prior engagement. I then told her I had an owanbe party to attend later that night and that it would be funfiled and exciting. She quickly jumped at the suggestion of following me to the party instead of a club. I knew she would as
she was one h•rny bitch constantly in search of s3xual adventure and always ready at the drop of a hat to f~ck any available d¡ck.
We are a perfect fit for friendship; two h•rny b¡tches.
Patty was in my house as early as 7pm for a party we had scheduled to attend at 10pm wearing an hole filled lace ensemble that I was sure had nothing underneath. She's one freaky b¡tch with massive a$$ that she loves to show off. Her b••bs are about
average but she makes ample use of her best asset, her a$$. She had to wait patiently till 10.30pm despite her anxiety because there was no way I was going to be the first to arrive a party. Its just not
done.

Sikiru started calling at 9pm to find out if I was still coming to the party and later to find out what was delaying me. I told him to be patient, that I would be joining him soon. At 10.15pm, we set off
with Patty driving, the party was on the other side of town but traffic was light at that time of night so we got there at around 10.40pm. we knew we were in the right place due to the sound that hit us metres before we actually got to the venue. The 'gbogbo elere' music popular with such parties was already in full swing blaring away an admixture of fuji and juju music. The atmosphere was rowdy and exciting at the same time. This kind of setting was not my usual kind of place but I just loved the anonymity and the sl~tty feeling it aroused in me. The scene
brought back my university days and reminiscing on them was making me as h•rny as hell as I imagined being f~cked by all sorts of strange d¡cks.
Sikiru was already waiting for us as I had described the car we would be coming in earlier to him. He directed us to a secluded and relatively safe place to park the car and while Patty was busy manoeuvring the car into position, he gave my ample semi
exposed b••bs a squeeze and grabbed my p~$$y through my brocade skirt. I moaned as I relaxed unto his hands enjoying the feelings churning through my p~$$y. I also grabbed for his c•ck
and saw that it was erect and hard through the Ankara 'sokoto' he was wearing. He managed to rub my bare p~$$y and slipped a finger in it before we were interrupted by Patty.

'Hey, don't start without me' she said, strolling to where we were standing in the dark. Sikiru removed his finger from my greedy p~$$y and s~cked the wetness on it. I managed to introduce them
to each other and noticed Sikiru steal a suggestive look at Patty's b~tts which she replied to in kind by shaking. This broke the s3xual tension and we all laughed. Sikiru then placed his hands round our shoulders and led us to a part of the party where about six other guys occupied a big table with three empty seats to spare. We sat on those seats and Sikiru introduced us proudly to his friends. He was very excited as it was obvious we were both way
above their class from our cloths and demeanour.
Amala, ewedu and the usual 'omi obe' with big chunks of meat was served us. I couldn't eat much as I was the junk food addict. I sha managed to eat the fish that was later serve. Sikiru kept me in
a constant state of tension by f¡ngering me under the table. My skirt was riding high on my thighs and my legs spread under the table for him to have free and easy access. He was ready for me, digging his fingers into my p~$y while I was eating until I
couldn't bear it and gave a loud gasp and spilled soup all over the table. The others looked at me, smiled and continued what they were doing as if nothing had happened. Sikiru continued tormenting my p~$$y as if we were all alone and after seeing that nobody was paying us any heed, I decided to enjoy the pleasure spreading through my body from my p~$$y. I abandoned myself
to the pleasure and practically let go. The table we were sitting at was in a secluded almost dark corner of the party. We were practically alone and unencumbered.
In the cloud of lust surrounding me, I faintly heard subdued moans coming from Patty's side of the table and after making a supreme effort to concentrate and break loose from my passion, I
saw one of Sikiru's friends s~cking and s~cking and kneading Patty's b••bs one after the other. She was also lost in lust. Sikiru continued the onslaught of my p~$$y increasing the number of
fingers to three and tweaking my cl¡t in the process.
Just then...

A candidate of the Labour Party in Ogun West senatorial district, Professor Solomon Olamilekan, has reportedly died mysteriously.

Olamilekan, a pharmacist, died yesterday morning in a private hospital, three days after he was hospitalized, following complaints of a stiff neck.

It was gathered that the deceased had complained to his political associates of a stiff neck on Sunday and was later rushed to a private hospital at Adigbe, Abeokuta, where he passed on.

The Secretary of the party in the state, Sunday Oginni, who disclosed the news, described it as shocking.

Oginni explained that the deceased excused himself from the Senatorial meeting held on Monday because of the sickness.

According to him, Professor Olamilekan had been complaining of a stiff neck and when we did not see him at the senatorial meeting we asked of his whereabouts and were told he was in hospital.

Oginni said: "This morning (yesterday), we were told that the man is dead. It is a great calamity to the party because he was one of the very strong candidates we have in the party.

"He had assisted Labour Party to gain more popularity and acceptance, especially in the rural areas and many of the residents in rural areas have promised to vote for him."

Chairman of the party in Ogun West Senatorial district, Jimoh Edun, while reacting to the death of the candidate, pointed accusing finger at the opposition parties, claiming that the popularity of the deceased prompted the opposition to attack him spiritually.

"It was a spiritual attack. The opposition knew our candidate would defeat them that was why they killed him", he said.

He however, dispelled the rumour that he might have been killed by some members of the party who were eyeing the ticket.

He said no one was eyeing the ticket after the party had  given the ticket to the deceased.

APC CRIES OUT AGAINST POLITICIANS’ PLOT TO CAMPAIGN IN MOSQUES, CHURCHES

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
Opposition party All Progressives Congress, national publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has alleged a fresh plot by so called "desperate politicians" to circulate leaflets in mosques and
churches, asking Muslims to only vote for Muslims in the forthcoming elections.

In a statement in Lagos on Thursday, Alhaji Mohammed said, ‎
"They are hoping that by further inflaming passion with the highly emotive issue of religion, they can revive their shrivelling political fortunes. That is why they have devised the latest strategy of pitching Christians against Muslims through the circulation of satanic leaflets. Nigerians should not be taken in by this cheap plot," it said.
"It must baffle every right-thinking Nigerian what the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria stands to gain by his resort to base instincts. It is more baffling against the background of the fact that it was his party, the PDP, that first labelled our party, the APC, a Muslim party.
"Not even when the APC elected a Christian as its National Chairman, supported by many party officials, who are also Christians, did they back off from their incautious claim. It did not occur to them that our party is more religiously diverse than they have sought to portray it to Nigerians," the party said.

It said while the APC had been campaigning on issues of relevance to Nigerians, "including how Nigerians would be put back to work, how the citizens would be better protected, how they would be weaned from their forced dependence on electricity generators and how the party's governors have delivered the dividends of democracy in their states, those on the other side have been trading in negative and inciting campaigns of the most primitive kind."

APC added, "We ask Nigerians to disregard anyone peddling religion as a tool for securing votes in any part of the country. Faith is a personal thing to individuals and no responsible government will seek to use religion to divide the people," APC said.

SERIE A FOOTBALL ATMOSPHERE IS DEAD -Mancini

Mancini is looking forward to seeing his Inter side line up against Celtic in a packed stadium, a luxury he is sad to be deprived of in Italy.

Celtic Park is renowned for its intense atmosphere on European nights, while there have been many complaints raised in Italy over the lack of noise at Serie A football matches.

The coach is eager for his players to enjoy playing in front of a large crowd and feels it is a shame that large crowds have become a rarity
in Italian games.
"To have our team playing in front of 60,000 fans is something we've lost in Italy in recent years and I'll be even more proud if Inter can win and make our supporters happy," he said.
"It'll be a great atmosphere tomorrow night. Celtic are right to use it their advantage and manager Ronny Deila is right to say it could help his team.
"It'll help us as well as it'll be a great experience for our players. It could work to our advantage.
"We know Celtic are a good team. They play football well, they don't play classic long ball. I think it'll be a very difficult match because
they have good players."

The former Manchester City boss is targeting a strong run in the competition for his side, who are struggling in 10th position in Serie A.

I think it's an important match but we try to improve with every match. Tomorrow the context is a bit different because it's over 180
minutes but we try to improve with every game we play.

Tomorrow is very important to us. The Europa League is a difficult tournament because there are a lot of top teams. We hope to have a chance to get to the end of the tournament.

CR7 is back again after ending is goal drought yesterday , when he scored one of the best goals against a defensive schalke team on tuesday.

The Ballon d or winner has been under unfamiliar negative spotlight in recent weeks, having missed two Blancos matches with a petulant Liga suspension and having not scored since January 18.

Ronaldo silenced his doubters on tuesday with a goal and saw him go level with Lionel Messi and Raul as the top scorer in European competitions, with 76 goals across continental tournaments.

The coach said "I'm happy," it's never easy coming into such a game after our period in La Liga. But the players showed good attitude and put in a good performance. It went well.‎
"The game did not allow brilliance, with Schalke trying to hit us on the counter attack. After we went 1-0 up we controlled the game. We tried
to score the second and thankfully we did."
Ancelotti usually refrains from being animated on the touchline but Marcelo's sumptuous strike late in the second half to seal the victory
for the visitors had him celebrating with his players and he explained his reaction was due to the oddity of his left-back's goal.
"I went to celebrate the goal on the pitch because it is so unusual to see Marcelo scoring with his right foot," the Italian added.

Football is passion and with consistent hard work ronaldo will get back to his best.

I didn't tell him to tear it -Obasanjo Speaks Out On PDP Exit, Tearing Of Membership Card

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
As criticisms continue to follow the dramatic exit of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo from the Peoples Democratic Party, the former President has now explained how he arrived at the decision to leave the party to which he belonged for 16 years.‎

In a telephone interview with Premium Times on Tuesday February 17, Obasanjo explained that the PDP members visited him to express their genuine concern about his refusal to be active in the party.
"They were concerned that I had only one leg in the party, and worried that since I'm their leader in the ward, they need to hear from me," the former President said.
According to him, when the party members arrived his residence, they were singing a song in Yoruba language – "Nigeria yi ti gbobgo wa ni, Ko ma gbodo ba je. Eje ka sowopo kajo gbega (Meaning – Nigeria belongs to all of us, we must not allow it to be destroyed and we must join hands to make it great).

Obasanjo said when they settled down he sought to know why they came and that it was at that point that Oladunjoye told him that since he (Obasanjo) as their leader became angry with the PDP and remained inactive in the party, they had not only lost sense of direction but also worried about their political future.

He also said the party members informed him that the leadership in the state was planning to expel him and that they wondered what would happen to them if he was expelled because they would become rudderless.

"You are our leader and it is you we are following. You have remained a card-carrying member of the the party. But since you became angry with the party we have lost sense of direction and now we are hearing that they want to expel you. If they expel you, where do we go? What do we do?" Mr. Obasanjo quoted the ward chairman as saying.

The former president explained that it was at that point that he gave them his PDP membership card and told them that they could do whatever they want with it.

He said, "In my response, I said when you people came you were singing a song and I agreed that Nigeria is our own. If the issue is the party, I will not choose the party at the detriment of Nigeria and I will fight for Nigeria even at the detriment of the party. I will rather surrender my membership of the party so you people can move on politically," Obasanjo explained.
"If you people's worry is that I'm a card-carrying member of the party and I'm not showing you people direction and you are worried that I'm neither here nor there, this is the card; you can keep it, you can burn it or you can tear it, do whatever you want to do with it."

The former president said he then handed over his membership card to Oladunjoye, who immediately decided on his own to tear it.

Obasanjo said he had no regrets for his action despite the criticisms that have greeted it.

Woman Claim Witches Turned Her Son Into A Notorious Armed Robber...after he is arrested

After the arrest of a 30-year old suspected armed robbery suspect,Taiwo Oluwole, his middle-aged mother, Madam Oluwole, has broken down in tears, pointing accusing fingers at witches for spiritually attacking her son and making him live a bad life.

In an emotional laden voice, she said: "He went into robbery after a spiritual attack. As a mother, I have done all I could to make sure that Taiwo will be useful to himself.‎
"After his father died, I tried my best with the little I had to ensure that he completed his secondary school education.
"After that, I enrolled him in a printing outfit as an apprentice. He was attached to his boss for about a year and six months after he stopped. That was when I began to notice these despicable behaviours of his.
"I started with prayers, but there were no results. I took him to various native doctors and prayer homes for deliverance but nothing changed.
"Rather, he got worse by the day. He was not like this, which is why I strongly believe this is the work of the enemy to render my son useless in life.
"I have never collected anything from him because I know that the source of anything that comes through him is not clean. Even when he buys a gift for me, I reject it because I am strongly against his way of life."

Taiwo Oluwole was arrested by eagle-eyed anti-robbery detectives in Lagos State.
The suspect and one Segun Ogunlodo, alias Sangbere, 26, and Akeem Raji were alleged to be members of a five-man armed robbery gang said to be terrorizing Ebute-Meta, Oko-Baba, Oyingbo and its environs.

The arrest of Taiwo Oluwole at the scene of a robbery operation at about 2am reportedly led to the arrest of the other two suspects, while efforts are on to apprehend other members of the gang.
It was also learnt that Taiwo Oluwole was accosted by men of the state Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, who were on routine patrol and a locally-made pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from him at the scene.

Confessing to the crime, Taiwo Oluwole said: "I am an armed robber and I have participated in several robbery operations.
"I started out as a pick-pocket, later I started breaking into people's houses and stealing their valuables.
"Thereafter, I graduated into full-fledged armed robbery two years ago. I bought the gun from Segun Ogunlodo. He sold the gun to me for N18,000.
"I cannot explain why or how I went into robbery, because after my secondary education I went to learn printing for a year and six months, but did not complete my apprenticeship."

APGA Rejects Use Of Card Readers For General Elections

No comments :

The National Vice-Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance, South-West, Alhaji Tayo Sowunmi, has said the party will not support the use of card readers during the conduct of the forthcoming general elections.

He said this on Wednesday at a press conference held at the party's secretariat in Asero, Abeokuta.

Sowunmi noted that given the current level of anxiety and fear in the country concerning the re-scheduled elections, there would not be enough room for any experimentation by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

He further said card readers were prone to breakdown.

The party also frowned on the rate at which the Permanent Voter Cards was being distributed, accusing INEC of not showing enough commitment and seriousness towards the exercise.

He said, "As of now, reports reaching our South-West secretariat show that only about 10 per cent of our members have succeeded in collecting their PVCs.

"APGA wishes to warn that unless this situation is urgently addressed, the party may be forced to take legal action in pursuit of justice."

Must Read: MY CORRUPT FREE NIGERIA BY Moses Adeyemi

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
Nigeria in some quarters have been said to be a corrupt country and this has sticked with the country for a very long time, but whether we like it or not, we can have a corrupt free Nigeria.

Political corruption has been a persistent phenomenon that pervades the Nigeria nation, for a while now there have been cases of consistent misuse of resources for personal enrichment, our oil and gas as also caused so many issues because it is the major cause of corrupt practice in Nigeria.

Nigerians are stuck in ignorance and poverty, no good roads, no good house, we have lost our social amenities, looting and vandalizing of public money have been the other of the day and it is a crime that is punishable under the law.

As a matter of fact, so many of our leaders are thieves and corrupt, we always see them quarelling or  using the media through newspaper, television and radio station to abuse or throw punch at each other, but the simple truth is when they sit down and share our money, nobody knowns, there they greet each other. I do wonder why they are fighting in public but i have come to realize it is because of the wealth of the nation and the fact that we have petroleum. My question is without the fund coming from this petroleum stuff or without allocation coming from federal government , what can this politicians offer?  Wealthy elite have been influenced by corruption and they have use this to gain power and protect there own personal interest.

I have also come to realize that tribalism is seriously having it root in our dear country and with these, we will continue to have serious fight, from one ethnic group to another. Big politicians now want people from there ethnic group to head parastatals and they get return from them, from my own point of view there is no single Nigeria leader that is not corrupt, just that the level of corruption defer from each other.

Every blessed day billions of Nigeria live there day from hand to mouth, some are not even sure of what they will eat the next day, while we still have people that eat one time daily and the one square meal am talking about might be garri or just bread. We still have people sleeping under bridge, that shows the extent people lack social amenities. Our leaders only enjoy our wealth with there families and friends.

To have a corrupt free Nigeria, we need people that are not greedy, we need people that have the right attitude, we seriously need to go back to the drawing board , to write out what we want as objectives and i must say this moral education is very important.

Enough of all these useless campaigns we have all around, lets stop fooling each other. I have choose not to be deceived again, because any day , anytime the people in government will always will bring in people they know or that have helped them one way or the other , there has never been room for fresh brains. can there be a Nigeria , where we will be free of corruption ? yes of course and that can only be achieved if common stealing is stopped.

Nigeria government need to come out clean and be straight with Nigerians on its record in fighting corruption.

The young leaders hope for the future is slim and there is a need to fight and eradicate corruption on time before it ruins our lives.

Moses Adeyemi, a student of mass communication and writer wrote from Lagos, Nigeria.

Yes the same thing as happened again this night as chelsea took a valuable away goal from the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Paris Saint Germain , though they were pegged back to a 1-1 draw at Parc des Princes.

PSG fought back in the second half with Edinson Cavani pouncing on slack marking to deposit a free header past Courtois, and the Uruguayan nearly had a second when he slipped through the back line in the 80th minute only to prod just wide.

Disqualification! Aminu Tambuwal Faces Fresh Legal Trouble As Party Members Seeks His Removal As APC Sokoto Guber Candidate

Legal moves to stop the Speaker of House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal from contesting for governorship seat of Sokoto state under the All Progressive Congress (APC) began on Wednesday at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Two plaintiffs, Senator Umaru Dahiru and Barrister Aliyu Abubakar Sanyinna, had, through their counsel, Awa Kalu, SAN, approached the court to direct APC to withdraw the nomination of Tambuwal as its gubernatorial candidate and to hold another governorship primaries in Sokoto state.

The plaintiffs hinged their prayer on the grounds that the governorship primaries conducted by APC on December 4, 2014 did not comply with the provisions of Section 87 of the Electoral Act 2010 and the APC 2014 Guidelines‎ for nomination of candidates for public offices.

Joined as defendants are APC, Tambuwal and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The plaintiffs ‎argued that despite the fact that they were bonafide card-carrying members of APC, the party breached its guidelines in relation to the nomination of candidates for public office as well as other relevant provisions of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended).

‎The plaintiffs further submitted that the screening of delegates on the day of the primaries was not done between the stipulated hours of 8am and 12 noon, and that the list of the delegates as issued by the National Secretariat of APC was not used in the conduct of the said election of December 4, 2014.

They further said that on the very day of election, members of the Sokoto State and Local Government as well as members of the State Assembly openly canvassed for votes for Tambuwal.

They also submitted that there were instances of delegates engaged in multiple voting to favour Tambuwal, and instead of just a single ballot box required at the election, 23 boxes were provided in order to perpetrate the alleged irregularities.

Shame! Immigrants Reveal They Pay N300 To Gain Entrance Into Nigeria

A suspected illegal immigrant from the Niger Republic, Shuaib Kaneda, says many illegal immigrants usually entered Nigeria by paying between N300 and N500 to unidentified persons.

Shuaib added that he had spent eight years in Nigeria, but could not acquire valid documents before he was arrested by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command.

The 34-year-old was among 82 illegal immigrants paraded on Wednesday at the command's office in Alagbon, Lagos.

The suspects were said to have been arrested at different parts of the Lagos Island area after an intelligence report.

Shuaib was arrested along with a relative, Idris, who had spent barely one year in the country when he was caught.

Shuaib, who spoke in pidgin, said, "I have been here for about eight years now. I work as a loader and make between N1, 000 and N1, 500 a day. I use the money I make to feed my family in the Niger Republic. I am married and have two children and they are in Niger.

"I travel home every six or eight months. The people at the border see many of us when we come in. Sometimes, they collect N300 and other times, we give them N500 before we pass."

His brother, Idris, also explained that he came into the country to make money which he usually sent home to his family of three.

Another suspect, Alimaru Saliade, told PUNCH Metro that he sneaked into the country by mixing up with cows being transported into Nigeria.

Saliade, who claimed not to know his age, said in pidgin, "I followed cows to Lagos. I have been here for four years now and I have not been able to get my documents because I don't have money."

For Yaya Ibrahim, coming to Lagos was to avoid being idle in the village.

"I was in my village and was not doing anything. So, my uncle asked me to come and work in Lagos and that was how I found myself here. My parents live in Ghana but we are from Niger," he said.

The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, Muyiwa Odunubi, said the command raided the suspects based on intelligence report.

He said while some of the suspects were caught around banks' branches, others were found sleeping under the bridge and "constituting nuisance to residents".

He said, "We have a surveillance team that keeps a tab on illegal immigrants in the state. When our men went out, they got them in all manner of places. Some were caught around banks, others were found sleeping under benches. Even fuel stations were not spared.

"In the Idumota area of the state for instance, we found that they have a room where they sleep. It is not clear whether they rented the apartment or somebody gave them the place. We introduced ourselves and arrested them; they never resisted."

The Comptroller of the state's command, Mrs. Justina Ahmadu, commended the officials, adding that the service would intensify efforts to rid the state of anything that could constitute security risk.

She waved away Shuaib's claim, saying most of the illegal immigrants came into the country through unauthorised routes because they did not have valid documents that could guarantee their stay.

"This is a continuous exercise and we will continue to weed out illegal immigrants from the state. Anyone without a valid passport or resident's card will be sent packing.

"We appeal to Lagosians to cooperate with us during our operations by not harbouring any illegal immigrant or fighting our men. This is the only way they can assist us to discharge our functions efficiently," she said.

Elections Would Not Hold In Nigeria -Boko Haram Threatens In New Video

Militant Islamist sect, Boko Haram,   has vowed to disrupt the March 28 and April 11 elections.‎
"The elections will not be held even if we are dead. Even if we are not alive Allah will never allow you to do it," the leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau, said in a new video on Tuesday evening.

The video appeared to be the first message released by the group on Twitter, a sign of its changing media tactics after previous messages were distributed to journalists on DVD.
Shekau was shown in unusual clarity in front of a solid blue background, dressed in black and with an automatic weapon resting to his right.
Despite the threat, experts doubt that the Islamist rebels have the capacity to disrupt voting nationwide, although election officials   concede that voting may be difficult in parts of the North-East, especially on March 28 .

Meanwhile, the United States will help Cameroon's army secure equipment to fight Boko Haram, its embassy in Cameroon said on Wednesday .
Boko Haram fighters have killed and kidnapped thousands in a six-year insurgency in Nigeria and are stepping up cross-border attacks on neighbouring countries despite a major regional offensive against them.

In the latest strike, Boko Haram fighters ambushed an army patrol near the town of Waza in Cameroon this week and an intense gun battle ensued, killing five soldiers.
"My government is working on a logistic pipeline of material that will enhance Cameroon's ability to defend itself from Boko Haram," US Ambassador to Cameroon, Michael Stephen Hoza, said in a notice published in a Cameroonian newspaper on Wednesday.
He did not elaborate on what would be provided, saying only that it would be "equipment necessary to defend the country."

Earlier this week, the commander of the US Special Forces operations in Africa pledged to help African nations in the fight against the group.
Maj. Gen. James Linder of the US army said Washington would provide technology allowing African partners to communicate between cellphones, radios and computers.

Bombshell! INEC Chair, Jega Says He Cannot Guarantee Elections Would Hold On Postponed Date

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Attahiru Jega, on Wednesday, reiterated his preparedness to conduct the   general elections as scheduled but maintained that only the military could guarantee the sanctity of the March 28 and April 11 dates. Jega, who appeared before the Senate to explain the level of INEC's preparedness for the elections, however, stunned many of the lawmakers when he revealed that one million Permanent Voter Cards had yet to be received by the commission from the manufacturers.

The Senators had thoroughly grilled him after he made about three-hour presentation and demonstrated how the card readers work.

Responding to a question by the Minority Leader, Senator George Akume, to give a clear assurance on the dates, Jega replied, "I think it is a very difficult question to answer.
"I have said consistently that there are things under the control of electoral commission and there are things that are not under the control of electoral commission. For things that are under our control, I can give definite and categorical assurances.‎
"On what is not under our control, it is futile, it is fruitless and useless to give a definite guarantee on them. I think that question should be directed appropriately. The questions of security, I will leave it, I don't think I am competent to answer it sufficiently."

Asked how he would respond if the security agencies requested a further delay, Jega said doing so would be illegal.

He then made reference to a constitutional provision that requires elections to be concluded at least 30 days before May 29, when a new government must be sworn in.
"Every Nigerian knows we want elections to hold… within a constitutional time frame.   The security agencies are (made up of) patriotic Nigerians. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt," he told the senators.
He added, "We should be fair also to the military. Soldiers are also patriotic Nigerians.   I don't see how anybody will contemplate any extension beyond these six weeks.
"There is no constitutional grounds upon which you can do that. For us, we work by the constitution, by the law . That is what is guiding us and we should all put the interest of the nation at heart.
"The human factor is always significant, it is always important but we believe that working together with security and other stakeholders, we should be able to prevent negative human intervention that can create problems.
"I kept saying consistently that INEC is not a security organisation. We are an election management body; so we rely a lot on security to be able to ensure that things are done well and that there is no disruption of the electoral process.
"We have been working very closely with the inter agencies consultative committee on election security and that is why for us, if the service chiefs say that we can't guarantee security, give us more time, what is the alternative security arrangements ?
"If we consulted with the stakeholders and we cannot find an answer, what happens? We are going to use close to 700, 000 ad hoc staff. We can't send people to the field in that kind of a situation.
"Our prayer is that in the next six weeks, there will be significant improvement in the security situation for us to hold the   elections all over this country in a very secure environment.
"There are certain questions that we are not really competent to answer. Certain questions should be directed to the military; they can answer them better."

The INEC boss expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the card readers, stressing that their use for accreditation during the elections would not contravene any provision either in the electoral act or in the constitution.

He also said that   anyone who clones and tries to prevent the use of the card readers would be treated as a criminal.

Jega said, "We have done the functionality and durability tests on the card readers with a local partner, with their technical partner in Texas in the United States. There were 13 specific tests that were done about their functionality, durability and versatility. The card readers   passed all the tests.
"We have done some few tests and the result we have is about 90 per cent successful. We feel comfortable that the card readers can be used. They will add value to the electoral process.
"It cannot be 100 per cent perfect. It may not be able to read every finger and that is why we agree with political parties. We bought 182, 000 card readers. Some of them did not work.
"Of the total number of card readers that we ordered and configured, only 503 had failed to work. That is 0.03 per cent of the total. The agreement is that if a card reader fails during accreditation, then, we will try and repair it within the time of accreditation which is between 8am and 1pm.
"If a card reader fails around 10am , before 1pm, we will do everything possible to replace it but if we are unable to do so, the time lost will be added to the accreditation period and extended."

On   the high rate of PVC collection in three states under emergency rule in the North-East, Jega wondered why Nigerians were heaping the blame on INEC.
He said, "Why should anyone blame INEC for that? There is a need for us to have clarity on this matter. In Yobe State, only two local government areas are under emergency rule and the state is among the second phase in the distribution of the PVCs.
"In the   state and about 11 others, we distributed cards as far back as July 2014. So if the rate of collection is very high, I don't see why that should be seen as a problem. In Adamawa State, only four LGAs are inaccessible and we deviced   a system where PVCs were distributed to Internally Displaced Persons.
"So, as many as had been displaced but who had registered have been able to collect their cards. But when you look at the way newspapers do their analysis, they tend to project it as if there is regional slant in the distribution of the cards.
"When we designed the distribution of cards, we did it in such a manner that we took two states each from each geo – political zone to make a phase and we did it in three phases just to avoid being accused of having regional slant in the distribution of the PVCs.
"It will be wrong to assume that Yobe State or any other state has higher rate of collection. If people come out to collect and others   did not , why should INEC be blamed for that."

Jega, who said there was no case in court   that was capable of preventing INEC from holding the elections as scheduled, added, ''As I speak to you, 800,000 to one million cards are yet to be produced.''

He however gave assurance that the PVCs would be produced and delivered to their owners before the days of the elections.

The INEC boss described the purchase of PVCs by some people, especially politicians,   as a criminal offence .

He said, "If we have information on criminal purchase or cloning of the cards, we will invite the security to investigate. People can clone our cards but if they are not issued by INEC, then they would not be read by our own card readers.
"The PVC carries the information of the voter which is in our database. We refrain from using the card readers for voting because the constitution is against it. We have cases where corps members were forced to alter accreditation figure but now if the number of the votes cast is different from the number accredited, the entire result of the polling units will be cancelled.

Jega said that if security would be guaranteed in IDPs' camps, INEC could make arrangements to take care of them.

He said, "There is an online system where people can find out details of their registration. Ghana used card readers and it was relatively successful. Likelihood of card reader's failure is very remote.

"Its usage will not violate either the electoral act or the constitution. There is difference between voting and voting process. We are well advised we are on solid legal standing on the issue."

He added that INEC did not ask for card reader usage in the Electoral Act because it was not necessary since the existing law guarantees the arrangement.

He said the PVCs would be permanent because it could last for 10 years, adding that "by 2019 we hope that the National Identity Card project would have materialised so that INEC could draw out the data of people of voter age from the NIMC database."

Jega added,   "Whereas section 52 of the Electoral Act   prohibits the use of electronic voting, the card reader is not a voting machine and it is not used for voting, it is merely an electronic device introduced to improve the integrity of the voting; process.
"It should be remembered that sections 78 and 118 of the 1999 constitution grant INEC powers to register voters and to conduct elections in Nigeria. Using the card reader has enormous advantages; first, once it is configured, it can only read PVC   issued by INEC at the polling unit that it has been configured. Second, it reads the embedded chip card not the back code.
"Third it enables authentication of the identity of the voter by matching his or her fingerprint with the code on the chip of the card. Four, it keeps a tally of all cards read and all cards verified or authenticated with all their details, including the time when this was done."

The demonstration of the card readers on the floor of the Senate was commended by Senators Bukola Saraki and Ita Enang, who said the development had shown that INEC was fully prepared for the polls.

Senate President, David Mark, in his closing remarks said the Senate had confidence in the ability of the electoral umpire to conduct free, fair and credible elections.
He, however, urged the management of the commission to feel free to contact the leadership of the National Assembly for any assistance that would make the elections a huge success.
