The lingering controversy over an alleged killer squad purportedly under the services of the APC Lagos West Senatorial candidate Hon. Solomon Adeola Olamilekan has taken another dimension as his main opposition at the March 28 polls, Segun Adewale popularly referred to as Aeroland by supporters has opened up on what he knows concerning the issue.

In a statement released by the PDP candidate on Thursday morning, Aeroland said he had it on good information that Yayi don't just have a killer squad which he uses to silence perceived enemies, but that the same squad was sent after him recently but he was saved by security aides around him.

Segun Adewale further challenged Hon. Yayi to come clean with facts because the PDP team also has pictorial evidence to back up their claim.

"My attention has been drawn to misrepresentation of facts being done by one Hon. Adeola Olamilekan Solomon who currently represents Alimosho Federal Constituency in the National Assembly and the current candidate for the APC in the Lagos West Senatorial District.

I have it on information that there is a denial of a relationship between Hon. Adeola Solomon Olamilekan and his killer squad as widely reported in the media.

Following several requests to know my stance on the revealing masterpiece, I have decided to make the following statements on the issue:

1. The said man has a killer squad which he has been using to silent so many who have gone against his electoral wishes.
2. The same killer squad's member was sent after me towards the end of 2014.
3. The killer squad member sent after me fired several shots at me, but due to the bravery of security aides, I was able to escape the gunshots.
4. The said member was identified as "Matchetti" who is widely known with the nickname by all and sundry and also a member of the killer squad as reported by the media.
5. The case is presently being investigated by the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS)

This statement is coming because of the several calls by prominent Nigerians to know the real and exact story behind the case as I have also noticed edited images showing an armed man on a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vest to misrepresent the truth.

I would like to conclude by telling the opposition to come out with facts to debunk this as there are also pictorial evidences on this, which are withheld so as not to fault the investigations currently carried out by the Nigeria Police Force."

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to go to the market off campus to buy some foodstuff, since the election was cancelled which means I'll be staying in school. When I was done, I stood by the roadside,hoping I'll see a direct cab to the campus because of the heavy bags I was carrying... Then came this lovely Camry, black to be precise, the one the boys in my class call 'muscle' so the car was parked right by my side, and as the window rolled down,I saw this man-maybe in his late 40's, but for the effect of money he was actually looking clean and 'set'. He smiled at me and offered a ride which I initially thought of declining but with this mad sun and heavy load I was carrying I got into the car and told him am going to the campus, he said he would take me to anywhere am going. So as he drove,he told me that he wasn't going to deceive me that he actually liked me, I smiled at him, he said he would take good care of me and and spoil me rotten. I wanted to tell this man that I wasn't a 'runs' girl, but before I could speak he said he was a married man and he needed a girlfriend that he would date me for as long as we can go. I looked at him surprised, he said he doesn't just want to be picking 'ashewo' every nite, he just want someone he can call his own! His Girlfriend!!!!

 I didn't say anything and when we got to the campus he gave me his card and a sum of 10,000naira to buy credit and call him. And that whenever I need him he would cater for me and whenever he needs me I should do the same...just like that!

He even said dating school boys was a waste of time,that I should consider him. As I alighted and he drove off I was shocked. I wondered how married men now have a legalised way of cheating by having girlfriends. Come to think of it, a girl(ashewo) he meets at the hotel, and he has sex with and pay her off and she never shows up again and the girlfriend who is in his life for as long as possible,that he begins to share his money,time and care between her and the wife, which is better? 

 This married men, have become so funny that having a girlfriend is actually a normal thing to them! When a sick thing becomes normal the whole world is becoming sick. No matter how good he is at playing the game the wife at home suffers and the kids suffer. You can't successfully share attention between two women! You begin to make the wife at home feel like everything is wrong with her, if you want to change the style on bed, the way you guys do things,tell the wife at home instead of running to meet another chick out there. 

Then to the 'so called girlfriends' who date these married men, havnt you thought about the day you become a wife or a mother too! Then your own husband would begin to look for a young fresh blood! 

Karma they say is a B¡tch, she doesn't know how to pity anyone so my dear its gonna come at you too! Some of these married men come with excuses like I married my wife out of pity or my wife doesn't satisfy me anymore. Why don't you stay home and spend sometime with her then you know she would gladly satisfy you..then some grilfriends along the line fall in love, this is rare but it does happen, however to avoid this, never date a married man, and if you didn't know at the beginning, quit it immediately you know. 

Come to think of it, those runs girls are actually better than the girlfriends in some way, atleast they don't ruin the married men's homes unless you don't pay them for their services. So girls before you agree to be his girlfriend think about when you would also become a wife and mother.

THE Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, Mr. Dan Bature, has reacted to a statement credited to the state governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, that the state police command was exposing the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, to assassination.

Bature said in Port Harcourt on Wednesday that Amaechi was accusing the police because of their refusal to grant the state government's request to   release criminals involved in cases of murder.

Amaechi had raised the alarm over the plot by the Peoples Democratic Party to assassinate Peterside. He also expressed lack of confidence in the police in the state.

The governor had accused the police of working for the PDP, saying while policemen attached to APC members had been removed, those attached to their counterparts in the PDP remained intact.

But Bature said that the police had merely replaced the C4I operatives around Peterside with men of the Special Protection Unit.

The C4I is a special police unit created to combat violent crimes in the state.

Bature said he was surprised that Amaechi could interpret that to mean withdrawal of police protection for the APC governorship candidate.

He described Amaechi's allegations as false and delicate.

He said, "The Rivers State Police Command is once again constrained to respond to the spurious and wispy allegations against it and the false alarm raised by His Excellency, Rt Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, to the effect that the Command exposes Hon. Dakuku Peterside to danger by withdrawing policemen attached to him, and unsubstantiated killings and plan to arrest supporters of his party.
"It is strongly believed that the vituperations are frustrating signs of the government's inability to pressure the Command to release hardened criminals involved in heinous cases of murder, deadly cult activities, unlawful firearms possession, kidnappings and sundry acts of lawlessness that ordinarily would have been charged to court, but for the industrial action of the Rivers State Judiciary.‎
"Redeployment of C4I Policemen from Hon. Dakuku Peterside to their traditional duties of fighting violent crimes and their immediate replacement with the elite Special Protection Unit has now been attributed to withdrawal of the policemen attached to him.
"Cases of cultists-related clashes that sometime resulted in deaths have suddenly been attributed to killing of political party supporters. The alleged killing of seven supporters of a political party is not only unfounded as the Command has not received such report.
"What a mathematical wonder! Six suspects arrested and charged to court for unlawful possessions of firearms have now become over 400 supporters of a political party in our custody.
"The allegation of the purported plan to arrest 307 leaders of a political party is nothing but a ruse to whip up public sympathy. The Command has no plan to arbitrarily arrest anybody. Anyone who is not planning to cause or foster violence or breach public peace has no cause to fear or raise false alarm."

Reacting to the CP's statement, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, said Bature was economical with the truth.

Semenitari said, "The Rivers State Commissioner of Police is economical with the truth. Everybody knows that Amaechi cannot support the request that hardened criminals should be released from police custody.
"Amaechi refused to support amnesty programme because he was not in support of pampering people who have committed crimes. The whole world knows that Amaechi does not condone crime.
"It is uncharitable of the CP to say such a thing about the governor. He (Bature) should focus on the issues. Does the CP mean that the only criminals in Rivers State belong to the APC?
"The fact of the matter is that the police in Rivers State are arresting innocent people for no reason and try to hang charges on them. The police are arresting members of APC in Rivers State for no reason."

PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Organization, PDPPCO, yesterday, demanded the arrest of the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), and his top associates over the existence of an illegal radio station called Radio Chanji.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Director, Media and Publicity of PDPPCO, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, cited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State; former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and former Nigeria Ambassador to Spain, Ambassador Yusuf Mamman, as among the top associates to be questioned.
According to Fani- Kayode, it became imperative to arrest and question them because the radio station had been broadcasting what he described as falsehoods, propaganda and inciting comments, periodically over the last few days. Fani-Kayode also accused APC of budgeting $2 million to produce a documentary entitled Nigerians…
What is Going On? which he claimed was designed to, among others, discredit President Goodluck Jonathan, his ministers, aides, the government and the entire country.
Fani- Kayode also pledged President Jonathan's determination to go after corrupt persons to ensure that every single one who stole the nation's money would be brought to book. On the alleged APC radio, Fani-Kayode called on the National Broadcasting Commission, NBS, to put its house in order by ensuring that its set rules were followed. He sa id: "Our attention has been drawn to the existence of an illegal radio station called APC RADIO or RADIO CHANJI.
"This radio station has been broadcasting falsehood, propaganda and inciting comments, periodically over the last few days and since inception. "We seize this opportunity to call on the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, NBC, to set its house in order while ensuring that its rules are followed. "We call on them to use all means available to stop this illegal radio station from operating and if necessary to block its illegal transmissions.
"The person that is heading this operation is Ambassador Yusuf Mamman, an APC leader and stalwart, who has much experience in the world of special operations and disinformation and who has been given millions of dollars to start this illegal radio station. "The objective of the radio station is to serve as a propaganda tool to fight the government after they lose the elections on March 28.
"The brain behind the operation is the former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, who equally founded Radio Kudirat during the days of NADECO, when the government of late General Sani Abacha was being fought by a number of people in Nigeria. "The opposition know that they would lose the election and after this happens, it is their intention to begin to use this illegal radio station to incite Nigerians against the government.
"They intend to use the radio station to incite the armed forces to mutiny. They intend to create a major division and utter chaos within the Nigerian state, using religion and ethnicity, and they will take that opportunity to either call for full blown military intervention or the establishment of an Interim National Government. "It is through the auspices of this illegal radio station that they intend to announce members of their planned shadow and parallel government.
"The truth of the matter is that this will not work. "However it is important for the security agencies to arrest Yusuf Mamman and question Kayode Fayemi, Bola Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi and the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) himself on the operation, illicit and dangerous agenda of this illegal radio station. "We will not sit back and watch them achieve their objectives. We will not allow them to destabilize Nigeria and we will not allow them to create a parallel government after they lose the elections."
Speaking further on planned documentary on President Jonathan, Fani- Kayode said: "It has been brought to our attention by members of the covert and special operations unit of this Directorate that certain unpatriotic steps are being taken by the opposition in an attempt to discredit not just the President, but also his government and indeed our entire country. "As we are addressing you, a scurrilous and utterly baseless documentary and video has been commissioned and compiled by them. It is entitled Nigerians…What Is Going On? "All manner of lies, deceit, fabrication, slander, falsehood and misrepresentation of the basic facts are in the documentary."

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation   has said that it will send a petition against President Goodluck Jonathan to the International Criminal Court at The Hague, The Netherlands.

The crux of the petition  is the protest by armed pro-Jonathan groups in Lagos on Monday, which the APCPCO, considers "a foretaste of the violence they plan to unleash on election days."

Members of the groups – Oodua Peoples Congress and the Coalition of Concerned Nigerians – had taken to the streets, demanding the sack of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega.‎

The APCPCO said in a statement on Wednesday   by its Director of Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, that "the machete-wielding and gun-bearing armed pro-Jonathan groups"   harassed and intimidated motorists "in a manner that gave them away as acting the carefully-prepared script for the truncation of the general elections.
It added, "There was such disruption to the tranquillity of the city that warranted the citizens scampering for safety in all directions.
"Our investigations have confirmed that Monday's   show was a dress-rehearsal for the main disruption planned for the general elections.
"Lagos, and the entire South-West, being a stronghold of the APC has been marked for massive dishevelling commotion that would involve killings, maiming and kidnapping.
"Our findings have further shown that the recent   N9bn pipeline surveillance contract to the OPC and some militant groups in Southern Nigeria was the elixir for the latest crude impudence of the pro-Jonathan armed groups.
"Indeed, the contract award was   a subterfuge for the mobilisation of these murderous militant groups for the destruction of lives and property to force the desire of the re-election of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on the Nigerian people."

It said it was using its press statement to serve   Jonathan the notice of its "formal protest of this extreme show of impunity to the ICC."

The APC campaign organisation recalled that the President's wife, Patience, was already on the watch list of ICC.
The organisation lamented that "the activities of this President and his wife as regards the elections are not patriotic and very unhelpful for entrenching democratic values in the nation."
It added, "We recall the bombing of the APC secretariat and the shootings and disruption of the party's campaign rally in Okirika in Rivers State, where the First Lady hails from with a muted silence from President Jonathan.
"Whereas the police authorities had denied the opposition party its legitimate and democratic rights to organise one million march for Gen. (Muhammadu) Buhari in Kano, they were quick to   provide security for the pro-Jonathan armed groups while they unleashed mayhem on citizens in Lagos on Monday."

The APCPCO said the APC was not ready to bow to the intimidation of   Jonathan ahead of the general elections as it believed that "Nigerians shall speak eloquently on   March 28, 2015" to end the "brutality on their psyche."

The International Criminal Court had on Monday said   that Jonathan's wife might be investigated.

This followed a petition by the APC asking the ICC to prosecute her for making inciting comments that could lead to violence.

The global criminal court added that it had begun conducting preliminary investigations relating to the situations in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission has said it has no record of any APC   petition against Jonathan's wife for allegedly inciting violence against its members in Calabar, Cross River State.

The APCPCO, through its Director General and Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, had said on March 9 that it would send a copy of the petition to the NHRC and the office of the Inspector General of Police, apart from the one before the ICC.

An official of the commission who pleaded not to be named because he was not authorised to speak to the media on the issue, said records of petitions sent to the commission were usually kept under different categories in the name of the petitioner and the "alleged violator".
He said, "Since in this case, the allegation was hate speech and the petition was said to have written against the wife of the President, there is no way it would have been sent to this office in Abuja without the record showing it."

The President's wife was said to have while   campaigning for her husband in Calabar told the supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party to stone anyone canvassing for change in the state.

When contacted, Shehu said, "We did not copy the Nigerian Human Rights Commission. We copied the DSS, Police and other international agencies. We did not copy the NHRC if it was cited anywhere that we did it was in error."

But the Peoples Democratic Party however   berated the APC for   linking Jonathan to the protest.

It said in a statement by its   National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, that the allegation was a cheap blackmail and a part of the mind game being played by the APC to discredit and scuttle the electoral process.

The statement partly read, "It is absurd for anybody to attempt to link President Jonathan to a protest and disagreements involving rival factions of an organisation such as the OPC. The President has proven himself to be a peaceful, humble and a forthright leader with unparalleled inclination for political accommodation.
"The PDP therefore advises the APC to face its dwindling electoral fortune and shed the penchant for false alarms and unsubstantiated allegations against President Jonathan and the PDP-led Federal Government."

The statement was however salient on the threat by the APC to drag the President before the ICC.

The Vice-President of Sierra Leone, Samuel Sam-Sumana has been sacked for seeking political asylum in a foreign embassy, the president's office has said. BBC reports:

President Ernest Bai Koroma had dismissed him because he had "abandoned" his duties, it added. On Saturday, Mr Sam-Sumana said he had asked for asylum in the US because his life was in danger. It is unclear whether the constitution gives the president the power to dismiss his deputy.

The BBC's Umaru Fofana in the capital, Freetown, says there is no doubt that Mr Koroma's decision is controversial. Some people believe that the vice-president can be removed only through a parliamentary impeachment, but Mr Koroma said he had the "constitutional authority" to dismiss him.

The governing All People's Congress had earlier expelled Mr Sam-Sumana after accusing him of fuelling violence, and trying to form a breakaway party in his home district of Kono. He denied the allegations.

The dispute between Mr Koroma and Mr Sam-Sumana has raised fears about the future stability of Sierra Leone. The West African state has been badly affected by the Ebola outbreak in the region, and is still battling to recover from a civil war which ended in 2002.‎

A House of Assembly candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Okon Uwah, was reportedly killed on Wednesday while on campaign in Ward Three in the Ukanafun Local Government Area.

Uwah, who was contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress to represent the Ukanafun State Constituency, was a former Deputy Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

The facts of the killing remained sketchy as of the time of this report but our correspondent learnt late on Wednesday that the corpse had been deposited in a morgue in the area.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gabriel Achong, confirmed the killing to our correspondent in Uyo late on Wednesday.

He said his men had arrested many suspects.

The CP said, "I have just spoken with His Excellency, Governor Godswill Akpabio and he said I should bring all those responsible to book even if they are members of the Peoples Democratic Party.

"Because of that I have changed my plan to travel to Abuja for an engagement. I have moved the Area Commander in Ikot Ekpene and the Divisional Police Officers to Ukanafun."

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has exposed the plan by the Jonathan Administration and the PDP to render card readers ineffective on election day, with a view to justifying their fears about the use of the card readers and ultimately to scuttle the polls.
''We can authoritatively inform Nigerians that the morbid fear of card readers by the Jonathan Administration and the PDP has now been translated into concrete action: They have hired an Israeli, Gyora Berger, to do the dirty job of jamming the card readers,'' the party said in a statement issued in Lagos on Monday by its National
Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
''To those who might accuse us of crying wolf, they should realize that every alarm we have raised in the past has been true, including that the Jonathan Administration was pushing for the postponement of the elections and that they are mortally afraid of the use of PVCs and card readers.

APC said the Israeli was hired specifically to develop three prototype card reader jammers, and he has now developed three of such jammers (25 metres, 50 metres and 100 metres range) to be carried in the pockets of trusted PDP stalwarts on election day with a view to disabling the card readers within the state radius.

The party said that apart from disabling the card readers, the jammers will also disable all telephones, iPads, etc within the states radius
of those carrying them on their persons.

It said an order has been placed for 75,000 pieces of the jammers at a cost of 200 US dollars per piece, bringing the total cost to 15 million dollars. The jammers will be air freighted to Nigeria next
week.
''The plan is to deploy the card jammers to the areas deemed to be the strongholds of the APC, such as the North-west, North-east, North-central and the South-west.
''It is the planned procurement of the jammers that have given the confidence to the Administration and party officials to continuously boast that Buhari will never rule Nigeria, and also the reason why a
chieftain of the PDP boasted last week that the card readers won't work, thus advising INEC to make alternative arrangements,'' APC said.

The party said the Israeli, who has agreed to do the dirty job for a desperate Jonathan Administration and the PDP, is an enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians, who does not mind if the nation burns, as long as he
has collected his pay for the dirty job for which he has been hired.

It said because the opposition party has become a movement which is being propelled by the people themselves, it is difficult, if not impossible, for the Jonathan Administration and the PDP to succeed in
their devilish intentions of rigging, sabotaging or scuttling the forthcoming polls.
''We have consistently said power resides in the people, irrespective of what the government of the day might think. When the people are determined to vote out any government, no amount of money, evil plots and shenanigans can save that government, as the Jonathan Administration will find out in two weeks,'' APC said.

The General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, on Tuesday said although he trusts the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), he doubts the credibility of "his environment."

It was clear that Bakare was talking about Buhari's party, the APC. The pastor addressed Christians at the annual Lenten lecture of the Island Club in Lagos.

He enjoined Christians to vote wisely, saying , "I believe in contact without contamination."

Pastor Bakare, who was the running mate of buhari on the platform of the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 presidential election, said he was not a politician but a nation builder.

He said whoever loses the presidential election should accept the winner and join hands to move the nation forward.

In his words he said, ‎
"If Buhari wins, let President Goodluck Jonathan accept defeat. Whoever loses is not a loser. And if President Goodluck Jonathan wins, Buhari should accept this as the will of God."

Speaking on fasting, he urged Christians in the country to examine the true spirit behind the Lenten fast, saying fasting was not an antidote to problems but an opportunity to submit to the will of God.

The pastor attributed the wrong attitude of Christians to fasting to biblical illiteracy. He maintained that the true fasting ordained by God was explained in Isaiah 58, highlighting the need to help the poor and be led by God to observe it.
He said, "It is essential for adherents to critically examine the spirit behind the fast with a view to ensuring that it is not an attempt to obtain righteousness before God."

The Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu while addressing a media parley in Abuja recently said, if he wins the March 28 polls, he will ensure strict adherence to the constitution, saying he is now "a converted democrat".‎
"I want to assure you that Nigerian constitution will be adhered to," he said.

He reminded the audience of the controversial Decree 4 promulgated in 1984 while he was military Head of State. He said there will be no such controversy should he win the presidential election.
"I cannot change the past but I can change the present and future. Dictatorship goes with military which made possible decree four.
"I am a former military leader. Note the emphasis on former. But I am now a converted democrat.
"I give full assurances to Nigeria media will be free under an APC government," he said.

Asked if he was prepared to apologise for jailing journalists as military ruler, the Director General of Mr. Buhari's campaign and Governor of River State, Rotimi Amaechi, prevented the former general from responding, saying "the general has said he could not change the past".

Mr. Buhari said he was not ready to participate in the presidential debate with President Goodluck Jonathan, standing for re-election as the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party.

He argued that there is no basis for debate since the record of the PDP and Mr. Jonathan in government is public knowledge.
