Gerald Embarrassed As United Sees Off Liverpool Challenge

Sometimes football is a game where you see many drama which is very synonymous especially with English football. Today one of such drama came to play as one of the kings of England football was sent off just 60 seconds after he came in as a substitute.

Steven Gerrard drilled his studs into Ander Herrera's shin 38 seconds after coming on for the start of the second half and he saw a straight red card.

Chelsea defectee, Mata was however the player that made the magic today , he scored a brace to seal the emphatic win in what we would describe as a television goal.

Juan Mata scored in the first half and completed his brace in the 59th minute with a wonderfully taken scissors kick.

Daniel Sturridge grabbed a goal back for the
hosts but it was the away end crowing at half-
time, mocking Gerrard and hailing a victory that
leaves them five points clear of their great rivals
in the race for a top-four finish.

Manchester united now trail Manchester city  with a two point and trail Arsenal with one point.‎

Thanks To Remy! Chelsea Continues Dominance Ahead Title Chase

Eden Hazard and Diego Costa provided two early goals and from there chelsea started playing good football but i was shocked to see the current premier league leaders concede two goals with in 4minute.

There was what i will call rubbish play at the back as Elmohamady and  Abel Hernandez turned 2-0 into 2-2, but it was our own Loic Remy who delivered the points with a goal.

I decided to call Remy goal anyhow he be sha score, at least it was enough to see Chelsea win a vital match.

Victory for the Chelsea ensured they head into the international break in command of the title race they still have a game in hand over
second-placed Manchester City while Hull remain just three points above the relegation zone.‎

RUQOYA'S Reverie: THE MONSTER IN HIM!

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
....I was at a friend's crib over the weekend and she suggested we watch a movie, titled "knock on heaven's door" and as I watched the movie I wondered what this world was really turning into, the movie was about domestic violence! This was the third movie on domestic violence I was watching this year.
So I asked my friend a question what exactly was really wrong with these men?
I really get angry when I see men violently abusing their wives but also I ask don't these women notice that the men were actually monsters during their courting stage! I thought they say in yoruba that "efin ni iwa" behaviour is like a smoke,it can't be hidden! So is it that these women actually knew that these men were monsters before marriage but still went ahead with the marriage for the sake of love or is love really blind? Why is it that even most of these victims(the women) don't speak out or even report the case when it starts! Is it fear of the man? shame?the society or the so called love?

Have seen cases of domestic violence in relationships (boyfriend&girlfriend sh¡t) and when I think of it, if he hits you when you are dating, do you actually think he would stop before marriage or do these ladies go into the marriage with the hope of changing the monster to an angel!
I once witnessed a scene where a boyfriend actually flogged his girlfriend from a bus stop to his house as they walked because she got a text from another guy! I stood and watched in pain, anger and sorrow! Why do young girls take such sh¡t? Is this what love really is? How do these men feel when they are actually doing this? Some say most of the men that do this are control freak! If he really is a control freak then he should get a dog that he can tame, and control whenever he wants. There is a difference between a woman, an assets and a toy! You are to love, respect and care for her not beat and control her!
Yes men are naturally possessive, proud and dominating but the way you treat your wife, lover and partner should be different from the way you treat a toy or dog that you own. We have cases of death as a result of domestic violence and it is something that is still going on because most of these ladies or women in both relationships or marriages going through this do not speak out till its too late!
Ladies yes you love him but if he is a monster then you need to leave that relationship, its gonna hurt leaving someone you love but know one thing you can't die from heartbreak except you commit suicide but you can easily die in a relationship with domestic violence!
For the married women, yes! this is Africa, we love our culture and religion but know that no culture or religion supports domestic violence, so if you are scared of divorce after making a mistake of falling for a monster in foil paper instead of a prince in shinning armour, then you are deceiving yourself!
It was easy falling for a monster then you better make it easy to end it! Its really not easy but if you are a female out there going through this

Its high time you PORT away from that relationship or marriage because after your death he would be lucky enough to see another fool that would fall a victim like you!
Save your life and report any form of domestic violence today!

Breaking! Governor Amaechi (Buhari Campaign DG)'s Deputy Tele Ikuru Dumps APC For PDP

No comments :

Reports emerged this afternoon that the Rivers State Deputy Governor, Tele Ikuru, has dumped the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ikuru reportedly fell out with his boss, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, over the choice of the governorship candidate of the APC, Dr. Dakuku Peterside.
Ikuru and Peterside are said to be from the same constituency.
Justifying his decision to dump the APC for the PDP, Ikuru said he had struggled with the choice for a while.
He said he joined the APC then with other disillusioned people of Rivers State.
He said: "Ever since, as the true nature and motives of APC are unveiled, I have continued to twist and turn in extreme mental and emotional agony. The more I struggle to belong, the more the Rivers man in me rejects the APC.After carefully studying, interacting and analyzing the leadership of the party, I have come to the sad conclusion that the APe is a party of rebels, insurgents and anarchists, clothed in robes of pretense and deceit. APC is a party founded on deception and it thrives on unholy propaganda and falsehood. "I therefore, on behalf of my teaming supporters, and my humble self denounce the APC and we all jointly and severally resign our membership of the APC. "My dear people of Rivers State, we of this generation will not in good conscience expect forgiveness and compassion from our forebears, posterity, and the spirit of our unborn generations if it is recorded in the annals of history that after 48 Years of Rivers people supporting leaders from all other parts of this country with our votes and resources, we were the same that witch hunted and hounded down the very first ever President from this region, granted us by providence. I wash my hands off this treachery. "In the light of the above, I wish to urge all My Supporters, the Good People of Rivers State to join hands with other well meaning Nigerians to massively vote for President GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN (GCFR) and the Transformation Agenda that has brought so much relief and succor to the greatest number of Nigerians. I also urge all Rivers People to vote for Chief Barr Nyesom Wike (CON), who has shown by his antecedents, track records and boundless capabilities that he will deliver good governance to the People of Rivers State."

Foluke Daramola, Charles Novia At War Over Buhari, GEJ..."a tested Otuoke fisher man is better than an old man with 150 cows as an asset"

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
Nollywood film-maker and critic, Charles Novia and Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola, hardly have anything in common and, as such, rarely have their paths crossing. But the prevailing political atmosphere in the country engendered by support for either President Goodluck Jonathan or General Muhammadu Buhari may have turned the duo into gladiators set for each other's jugular on the political arena.

While Charles is a die-hard supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan, Foluke Daramola pitches her tent with the Buhari group. Trouble started between them when Charles stated on the Naijahottest social platform that 99% of entertainers are in support of President Goodluck Jonathan's second term bid. In reaction to the statement, Foluke said it could not be unless Charles was making up figure in mere fantasy.‎
"When artistes collectively endorse a person or join hands in the majority to support a cause, the Heavens listen and join. Those within the fold who leave the line make their choices and Freudian slips. They become tragic heroes or comic villains. I respect the choices the 1% on the other side of the divide have made but when it comes to GEJ, the entertainment sector is fully in the majority in support of him" stated Charles Novia.

Foluke Daramola on the other hand would not have any of the statement as she curtly slammed Charles for his statement and reaffirmed her support for Buhari.
"You are obviously wrong with that maybe that's a figment of your imagination. You can't make collective statement on behalf of everyone. On the contrary, many of us voluntarily support Buhari. In the time of OBJ we knew how he favoured artistes even without him giving us a dime but in GEJ's time, all of us are being wooed by appointments, money and recognition in Aso Rock. A lot of us feel we need someone that would teach us how to fish, not one that would always give us fish. True value can never be bought with money. So, Mr Charles Novia don't make collective statement because people like us that have values don't take it lightly" she fires back.

But Charles Novia would not back down as he fired back:
" Daramola, obviously you are part of the 1%. My points on the subject suffices. Is it an old man who has 150 cows as an asset who will teach you how to fish in his old age? Sorry o. Many of us will stick to the tested fisherman from Otueke who knows how to catch fish and can teach us too"

all the talk was of the performance of referee
Neil Swarbrick after another case of mistaken
identity.

Gareth McAuley was wrongly shown a red card
after just 65 second, although it was team-mate
Craig Dawson who was the offender in fouling
Wilfried Bony when clean through on goal.

City made their numercial advantage count with
Bony opening the scoring with his first goal for
the club before Fernando added a second before half-time.

City took their foot off the gas in the second half, but man of the match David Silva had the final word with the third goal late on as City got back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats.‎

Giroud Brace Keeps Arsenal's Title Hopes Alive

No comments :

Olivier Giroud scored twice to prove he is one of the best players in premier league and those goals prove to be enough for Arsenal as they saw off Newcastle at St. James' Park.

Wenger's boys  exited the Champions League at the last 16 stage to Monaco on away goals despite a 2-0 victory at the Stade Louis II on Tuesday.

But they quickly rebounded from that disappointment by overcoming a depleted Newcastle side on Saturday, as Giroud
made it eight goals in six games against the Tyneside club.

The France striker scored his brace in the space of four first-half minutes, breaking the deadlock with a cleverly flicked effort into
the bottom-right corner.

Giroud then made it 2-0 by capitalising on some slack Newcastle defending to head home and give the hosts a mountain to climb.

Sissoko provided some hope for the St James' Park crowd when he halved the deficit shortly after the half-time interval.

Although there was a much improved second-half showing, Newcastle could not complete the comeback as Arsenal stayed within a point
of second-placed Manchester City.

"Tinubu is an enemy of Yoruba people"

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
Gani Adams, the Coordinator of the Odua People's Congress (OPC), has accused Bola Tinubu, the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, of using the Yoruba as pawn in the pursuit of his selfish political interest.

Tinubu had earlier said that Adams was contracted by Goodluck Jonathan to disrupt the peace of Lagos State. Therefore, the APC leader urged residents of the state to defend themselves in case of any attack by the OPC members.

Speaking with Premium Times, Adams said that the former Lagos State governor had never pursued any agenda in the interest of Yoruba‎
"How can you claim to be a Yoruba leader or love Yoruba when you have never been part of any socio-cultural organisation?
"(Mr. Tinubu) became governor with the support of Afenifere but immediately he was elected he divided the group. He wants to use the Yoruba to negotiate for his selfish interests," Adams said.

It would be noted that the former governor has severally called the Federal Government to bring Nigeria close to true federalism. The OPC leader, in his turn, said that Tinubu's pro-federalism advocacy was a subterfuge.
"Tinubu has always criticised the National Conference convoked by President Jonathan last year.
"National Conference report includes much of the principle and content of true federalism which has always been the wish of every true Yoruba socio-cultural group. But Tinubu criticised Confab before it started. Even till now, he continues to criticise the report.
"True federalism as well as restructuring inter-governmental relations in the country to make the constituent units more buoyant and enable them to develop their own resources for the betterment of their people involves process. And the process is the Confab. How do you then want true federalism without supporting the Confab?" Adams asked.

Speaking with journalists about Wednesday's approval of the final report of 2014 National Conference, Adams said that it should be commended by all Nigerians, but particularly by "every progressive Yoruba man".

He expressed his respect for Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, whom he described as "core Yoruba and good leader", but added "unfortunately his leader is anti-Yoruba."

President Jonathan Visits Daura, Buhari's Village...denies knowledge about interim govt

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday in Daura, Katsina State, said the Interim National Government (ING) being touted by some politicians was alien to the Nigerian constitution and such the call is "treasonable".
The President said this when he paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Daura, Umar Faruk Umar, with members of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, top government functionaries and prominent Northern leaders.
Daura is the hometown of All Progressives Congress' Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Jonathan's main challenger in Saturday's presidential election.
The president warned those speculating about an interim government that their action was treasonable as it contravened the constitution of the country.
He added that such persons will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
"Anybody planning ING or is linked with ING must be dealt with by law because it is treasonable.
"ING is not known to our constitution; it is treasonable," he said.
President Jonathan said that rather than fomenting trouble with such calls, Nigerians should prepare to go to the polls on March 28 and April 11 to elect credible leaders across the country.
"Nigerians should go and vote for those who will bring about development to the local, state and federal government levels.''
The President told the Emir that his administration was part of the Emirate council as he Jonathan was a title holder in the Emirate.
"I will continue to do what is good for Daura, Katsina State and Nigerians.''
According to him, within the past four years the administration has achieved so much in transforming the country and was ready to do more in the next four years.
"Within this time, we have done quite well but we have not reached where we want to reach yet.
"We have developed education at various levels and in Katsina alone we built 28 Almajiri schools to create a future for the youth.
"We are working with the Katsina State Government to improve education in the state, now and in the future.
The president said his agriculture intervention was robust as the Federal Government had changed the state of Nigerian roads, railways and health sectors.
He also mentioned the successes recorded in the eradication of polio, guinea worm and Ebola, adding that at the tertiary health level, Nigerian institutions were carrying out successful heart and kidney surgeries.
Mr. Jonathan said that after more than 30 years of being in limbo, the rail transport sector had been revived.
Mr. Jonathan said that it was the intention of his administration to link all states of the federation with railways to improve transportation, save travel time and cost as well as reduce road accidents.
"My administration is totally committed to improving the lives of Nigerians.
"We will also continue to bring peace to the country.''
He commended the Emirate and the subjects for working together to ensure peace in the country.
The president further promised that in the next dispensation, his administration will implement the decisions of the just concluded National Conference to raise the standard of the traditional institutions in the country.
"As a member of your emirate council, I will not disappoint you," he told the emir.
The Emir, in his response, thanked the president for the visit and told him to always count on his support and counsel.
Mr. Umar also told him to ensure there was peace throughout the country during the forthcoming general elections.
Among the president's entourage were the National Chairman of PDP, Adamu Mu'azu, and the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Organisation, Ahmadu Alli, among others. (NAN)

APC Alleges That President Jonathan Intends Using EFCC To Witch-hunt Tinubu

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
The All Progressives Congress on Saturday raised the alarm that the Federal Government and the Peoples Democratic Party have sent a red alert to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to arrest one of its national leaders, Bola Tinubu.

The party alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan's administration was bent on decimating the major opposition party in order to gain what it called an undue advantage in the March 28 and April 11 general elections.
"Without mincing words, we are aware that a red alert has been sent to the EFCC to arrest the national leader of our party, the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on trumped-up charges anytime from now. In addition, anyone who is suspected of being a financier of the APC is to be arrested, all in efforts to decapitate the main opposition party which is undoubtedly cruising to victory in the forthcoming elections.‎
"And as part of the offensive against the APC in the days ahead, there is a plan to freeze the accounts of companies, individuals and organisations believed to be financing the party, with the ultimate objective of crippling the party so it won't be able to sustain its activities, like paying its agents on Election Day and other logistics," a statement issued on Saturday by the party said.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Lai Mohammed, who spoke in Lagos at a press conference on Saturday said that the planned arrest of Tinubu and other APC financiers was a fallout of Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido's statement that all that needs to be done to break the opposition party is to "kidnap" two of its leaders.

Mohammed said, "Definitely, the current move to arrest Asiwaju and anyone they suspect to be a financier of our party fits into the alarm we raised and the open threat by Gov. Lamido. How predictable can a government be? It is clear that the momentum has swung to the side of our party, with just a little over a week before the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

"It is clear that Nigerians have rejected the PDP and have embraced our party, the APC, as the agent of the change that they (Nigerians) so much desire. That explains the desperation being exhibited by the PDP-led Jonathan administration to arrest Asiwaju, whom they see as the arrowhead of the opposition, believing that this will cripple our party and stop the momentum we have gained."

In his reaction, the Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode said, "We have said it before and we shall say it again: the APC are not only delusional but they are suffering from chronic paranoia. Why should Tinubu be scared of arrest if he has done nothing wrong. Why should Buhari be scared of EFCC if he is clean? They should stop raising all these false alarms and they should just grow up."

Our correspondent could not get the Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, to comment on the allegation as the calls to his mobile telephone line did not connect.

Collection of Permanent Voter Card from the Independent National Electoral Commission closes today.‎
INEC had on March 8, 2015, extended the deadline for collection of the card across the country by additional two weeks – from March 8 to March 22.
The card is a prerequisite for an eligible voter to cast his vote in the elections.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of INEC, Mr. Kayode Idowu, had said the latest extension offered the last opportunity for duly registered voters to collect their PVCs before the general elections on March 28 and April 11.
"INEC hereby calls on registered persons that are yet to collect their PVCs to use this last opportunity in doing so, in order to participate in the forthcoming general elections," Idowu added.

The electoral commission had said it had succeeded in distributing 80.24 per cent of PVCs to their owners as of March 4.

The figure indicated that 55,232,874 out of the 68,833,476 registered voters had picked their cards.

APC To Sue Fanil-Kayode For Linking Buhari With Terrorism, FFK Reacts

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation on Saturday threatened to sue presidential spokesperson, Femi Fani-Kayode, for claiming that General Muhammadu Buhari is getting funding for his election campaign from terrorist groups, such as Boko Haram, Al-Qaeda and ISIS.

The APC's threat was contained in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, in Abuja.
It accused the Director of Media of the PDP's presidential campaign of perpetuating the religious politics that his principal, President Goodluck Jonathan is well known for.He gave Fani-Kayode one week to retract his defamatory comments or face the law.

But Fani-Kayode, while reacting to the APC threat insisted that the party should answer the question posed to them on whether their presidential candidate, Buhari, can guarantee that not one dollar of Al-Qaeda, ISIS or ISIL (terrorist groups) money has been used to support his presidential campaign.

The APC statement partly read, "Never before in Nigeria's history has the issue of religion been applied to such sinister purposes as we have seen during the years of President Jonathan's government. When all fails, they whip out the religious card."

Shehu expressed relief that Nigerians were no more being fooled by what he called "this PDP game."

According to him, Buhari has transcended all the religious smears and, together with his running mate, Yemi Osinbajo, who is a respected pastor, has been able to show the Nigerian people that Nigeria's growth and development is not about religion, but about a genuine desire to change the lot of the country's citizens and move the entire nation forward.

The statement also said, "A majority of the world's Muslims, including Buhari, do not approve of the Al-Qaeda, and being Muslim does not translate into being pro-ISIS. "Again and again, Buhari has shown commitment to ridding our country of these vermin who claim to be killing in the name of Allah, but who, in actual fact, are messengers of Satan."

The APC campaign gave advanced warning that when it takes the matter of Fani-Kayode's claims to the court next week, it will ask that the PDP spokesperson's international passport be impounded.

According to the APC, there are some campaigners who intend to escape from Nigeria after the handover of government from Jonathan to Buhari on May 29. That must be the reason why they can boldly make many of the reckless, irresponsible and defamatory statements that they have been mouthing off," it said.

The APCCO further warned that it would not extend the seven-day deadline given to Fani-Kayode to retract his false allegations.

Fani-Kayode, in a statement however said it was a pity that supposed educated persons could not make a distinction between a question and an assertion.

He said, "It is a pity that these people are not well educated. They cannot even make a distinction between a question and an assertion. Rather than asking me to retract or withdraw the question, they should just answer it and stop misbehaving.‎
"If they are waiting for a retraction to our questions, they will wait forever. Hell will freeze over before we retract any question that we have put out. We will not retract any question, rather we will continue to put more uncomfortable questions to them until they provide answers by saying yes or no.
"We have made no assertion, we have simply asked a set of legitimate, responsible, sensitive and important questions, and we have every right to do so."

He added, "Millions of Nigerians are interested in knowing whether the answers to the questions that we have raised are 'yes' or 'no'. These are legitimate questions which need to be answered in a most honest and transparent manner.
"If the answers to the questions are 'no', Buhari should just say so, and we will take it up from there."

Fear Of...! INEC Moves Card Readers To Secret Location

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
The Independent National Electoral Commission is not leaving anything to chance as it has beefed up security around the smart card readers to be used during the March 28 and April 11 elections. The adoption of the card readers for the general election has attracted a lot of controversies.

On March 14, there was a fire incident at the warehouse of the electoral body in Abuja which lasted for two hours. Non-sensitive materials such as envelopes, voter education materials and bags for conveying electoral materials to registration areas were completely burnt.

This has raised fears in many quarters about the safety of the card readers with six days left to the March 28 presidential election.

The Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Mr. Kayode Idowu, told disclosed that measures had been put in place to secure the card readers.‎
He said, "They are very secure from arson, stealing, vandalism or any other effort to disrupt the elections.
"It is not only card readers we are using for these elections. We are using a lot of other materials. We are also using ballot boxes, cubicles, etc. Those are all election materials and they are secured and are well protected. Where they are now, they are safe.
"INEC deploys these materials along the lines of the structures. We deploy from the national headquarters to the state offices. The state offices deploy to the council offices. The council offices deploy to the registration area centres, which in turn deploy to the polling units. They cannot be intercepted on the way; they are not sent by post."

Checks by our correspondents around the 36 states and Abuja showed that the card readers had already been deployed to the states.

However, the actual location of these cards is only known to the Resident Electoral Commissioners and a few trusted staff of the commission under whose watch the cards are.

This development, according to some of the RECs, is born out of anticipated threats such as theft and arson against the safety of the card readers.
