News which emanated moments ago has it that first civilian President, Alhaji Shehu Usman Shagari reportedly passed on this evening. This was however followed by a controversy as it is being claimed in some quarters that 90 Year old Shagari who celebrated his birthday on February 25 is still alive.

Shagari alongside all the former heads of states celebrated his birthday in Sokoto barely a month ago.
