He was a top judicial officer until recently when he was eased out by the incumbent Chief Justice of the Federation. While he was still in service, his wife who was also a powerful civil servant recruited a young lady who was in her twenties to be their house-help. The lady was said to have been brought in by the wife's driver but somehow, the ex-judicial staff became fond of the lady and began to show her a lot of affection. As the lady earned more money from the Oga's largesse, it reflected on her looks and lifestyle forcing the man's wife to sack her claiming that the lady was stealing her money.  The sacking created crisis within the home as the former judicial staff accused the wife of victimising the young lady. Eventually, he secured a job for the lady in his office and an affair, believed to have started while she was still in the house blossomed.

The wife got to know but she could not do anything until the man lost his job in some controversial circumstances a few weeks.
Unknown to him, the wife trailed him to the lady's house and fought the husband to a standstill there. Though the former judicial officer has since relocated the lady from her apartment to another one, the latter's issue has not been resolved.

Nevertheless, a depleted Newcastle held on to record a stunning win and end Chelsea's unbeaten start to the 2014-15 season.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has never recorded a win at St. James Park.

Fayose Wants Obasanjo Suspended From The PDP As Former Party Chairman Joins APC

Recently inaugurated Ekiti Governor, Dr. Ayodele Fayose is not hiding his disgust for the former President of the country Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as he has called for the suspension of the Egba statesman from the ruling PDP.

This is coming on the heels of reports that a former Chairman of the party and senator representing Benue North Senatorial District, Banabas Gemade has dumped the party for the opposition APC.
Gemade's defection is believed to be as a result of a running battle between him and the state Governor, Gabriel Suswam for the soul of the party in the state as reports says the latter is set to unsit the ex-chairman at the senate.

Fayose's call for OBJ's axing ignores the recent visit to the Abeokuta villa of the ex-President by five PDP Governors led by the PDP Governor's forum chairman, Dr. Godswill Akpabio.

Fayose insists that Obasanjo has been engaging in anti-party activities and therefore should be suspended from the party while saying the visit of the PDP 5 was unwarranted and unnecessary.
In a statement credited to the Ekiti helmsman, he noted that PDP as a party must stop condoning indiscipline, as "nobody should be treated as bigger than the party."

Despite the fact that traditional rulers are not expected to be partisan, the paramount ruler of Lagos; Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu is making an exception with his support for the All Progressive Congress.
Akiolu on Friday appealed to party members in the state particularly aggrieved aspirants to embrace the party's choice Akinwunmi Ambode for the growth of the party and especially to ensure they win next year's election.

Oba Akiolu who spoke with newsmen in his Palace disclosed that he was happy with the outcome of the primaries and so therefore begged the other contenders to embrace him.
He said "It is not a do- or-die affair. All the candidates that lost the primaries yesterday are members of the same family, they are all my children."

While praising Governor Fashola, Akiolu further revealed that he has instructed Ambode to work with the others to ensure unity in the party.
"I have told the APC Governorship primary winner in Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode to embrace and work with everybody. We have started recording the victory", he said.

Ambode is a true Lagosian – Mogaji Of Edu Family

Following the emergence of AKINWUNMI AMBODE, A+ as the All Progressives Congress, APC, flag bearer for the Lagos 2015 election, and the continuous controversies surrounding his citizenship with numerous insinuation that he is not indigenous to Lagos State, BlackBox Nigeria stumbled upon the story below published in the P.M. Newspaper of May 25, 2014. Enjoy...

Mogaji of Edu Family, Pa Lamoriyu Adisa Edu
The last may not have been heard of the indigeneship tussle of Akinwumi Ambode, governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Party (APC) in Lagos State. The Head and Mogaji of the Edu family has debunked reports that he is not from the Edu family in Epe Local Government, Lagos.
A newspaper on Saturday reported that the former Accountant-General of Lagos State is not a Lagosian but from Ilaje in Ondo State, who is laying claims to the Edu family indigenous to Epe Town.

Speaking exclusively to P.M. NEWS in Epe, Pa Lamoriyu Adisa Edu, said Ambode’s link to the family can be traced to Ashiata Edu, the great grand mother to Ambode.

“I am assuring you that Akinwunmi Ambode is a true son of Edu family. His great grandmother whose name is Ashiata Edu, gave birth to three children, two sons and a daughter. It is her only daughter who gave birth to Ambode’s mother. So would you say because he was given birth to by a daughter of Edu, that he is not a son of the family?

“All what you read in the news is complete falsehood, adulterated family history and it is meant to score cheap political points by political opponents, which is unfortunate,” he said.
The octogenarian noted that as the custodian of the family’s history, he is in a better position to speak for the family, dismissing the duo of Alhaji M. Oladeinde Edu and Alhaji T. A. Edu. He said the Edu family uses a Mogaji not a Baale has its head.

Collaborating the position of the Mogaji, Mrs. Kafilat Agbadanla, alias Iya Elero, took our correspondent to the house of Akinwunmi Ambode’s mother situated within the Edu Family compound on Ashabi Street, Epe.

The House identified as Ambode Mother’s house on Ashabi street

Iya Elero in her statement claimed to have lived with Ambode’s mother in the same house, thus, stating as false the position that one Iya Vice gave birth to Ambode.

“There is nobody bearing Iya Vice as mentioned in the news report, that name does not exist. I only know of Iya Vick, who sells food at Epe Grammar School,” adding that, “She is Ambode’s stepmother not his mother.”

This place — pointing to the newly renovated house — is Ambode mother’s house. It was a mud house renovated two years ago and it is situated within the Edu family compound. The Mogaji is the Head of Edu Family and he has just confirmed who Ambode is to you,” she said.

It could be recalled that the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Eleko Of Eko, had a few days ago at a book launch in honour of Ambode, affirmed that he is a a son of Epe.

President Jonathan Meets With Abacha Over APC Threat

As the Peoples Democratic Party gets set for its gubernatorial primaries on Monday, President Goodluck Jonathan and the son of the former military head of state, Mohammed Abacha met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa on Friday, apparently to strategise on how to secure victory for him and the party.

The PDP is presenting the junior Abacha, who was freed from corruption and theft charges by the Federal Government last June, as its governorship candidate for Kano, apparently based on his assumed influence and popularity to be able to dislodge the All Progressives Congress candidate backed by Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Goodluck Jonathan and Mohammed Abacha
Although the details of their discussions were not made public, Abacha told State House correspondents shortly after emerging from the pareley with Jonathan that he was confident the PDP would 'recover Kano' from the APC.
According to him, Kano was stolen from PDP and the party is on its way to recovering the stolen ticket.

Abacha was also optimistic he would emerge the party's gubernatorial flag bearer.
He said: "We are hopeful; I wouldn't want to say too much. I said it before that it was a PDP state; it was a PDP ticket. It was taken or converted or even stolen; whatever you want to call it, so be it. The chances of the PDP are still bright.
Speculations had been rife in the country that the Presidency deliberately withdrew the charges bordering on the alleged stealing of N446 billion preferred against the aspirant last June in order to pave the way for him to contest the Kano governorship election.
The government through the Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, had justified the nolle proseque granted Abacha, claiming that it was done in the overall interest of the country and not for pecuniary or political reasons.

The government had preferred the nine-count charge of stealing against him in February 2014, claiming that the amount was stolen from its coffers between 1995 and 1998.
But during its withdrawal of the case against Abacha, the government urged the court to strike out the case since it had since discovered "fresh facts" on the matter.
Nigerian lawyer rose against the administration over the matter but it refused to budge.
