Slowly, her foot descended from my besieged privates as she searched through her file for the reports. "Whew!!" I thought, as she got up to walk around the table and place the papers in front of us. I guess I had earlier been so overwhelmed by the afterglow of my too recent romp with bootylicious jane that I didn't even notice this sexy chic. While Janet was large and voluptuous with endowments that swung slowly and heavily as she moved, exuding raw lust appeal, Bimbo was chic, firm and bouncy with big bosoms and firm bubble booty that jutted forward and backward in high definition, restrained and muted by her smart, knee-length skirt suit. I was suddenly overcome by a maddening desire to take that bouncy butt from behind and make it dance to the rhythm of my plunging rod.
"dickson, is something the matter," I heard Janet ask with some concern in her voice.
"I have a slight headache," I replied hesitantly as I noticed that I had broken out in cold sweat.
By then Bimbo had placed a sheet of paper in front of her and was in the process of placing one in-front of me. She pressed her bosom firmly into my shoulder as she did so but nobody else noticed.
"I think I need to get some air," I said as I stood abruptly and started leaving the table.
"Oh… I'm so sorry, I think you've overworked yourself," Janet says cheekily. "Go ahead, we're almost done here.."
"…er not quite," one of the other men interrupts her. "You still need to examine some of the prototype products we brought for your approval." "Bimbo will go get them from her room as soon as soon as we've dealt with that last report."
By then I was already out of the conference room and heading upstairs, looking for a balcony where I could catch some breeze and clear my head. I needed to think. See me see yawa oh. This fine babe wan come put sand inside my garri sha. What if Janet had noticed her indiscretions? But that chic too tight meen!! But what could I do about it? Jane was all the Intimate Kitty-Cat heaven one man could handle and much more and I would have to tread with caution. As these thoughts were chasing themselves around my head, I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and to my surprise, Bimbo's head popped out through the balcony door and she stared right at me with that dare in her eyes. I froze and stared back at her as she stepped onto the balcony, a perfect combination of poise, confidence and well endowed sex appeal. I took one look at her full bosoms, flat belly, broad hips and shapely legs and my dick lost all self control. I didn't know when I stammered,
"em… sorry… do y you have any paracetamol?"
"Sorry about your headache," she replied with a coy smile. "But I think I might have something for it, if you don't mind coming with me."
She turned to walk away and the sight of those firm bouncy buttocks dancing up and down instantly stole away all my reasoning ability, I followed her like a sacrificial lamb down the deserted hallway to her room and grabbed her waist, rubbing my nodding joystick against her nyash and feeling for her bosoms thru her suit.

Ooooopse! Female Student Led YabaTech Shootings...about four students reportedly died!

No comments :
Add BBN on 2BAFB965
BBN on Monday night reported an unleashing of terror at the Yaba College of Technology following a Student Union Presidential election which went bad.
Trouble reportedly started when some students, sensing that their candidate was not going to win, began to shoot sporadically within the school premises.
One of the students of the institution who spoke with our correspondent, disclosed that two students had been shot at the last count and that one of her friends was already in tears following the shooting.
"One lady here broke into tears when she heard that somebody she knows had been shot. Whether the people who were shot are dead or not is what I cannot ascertain now because we are all in our hostel.
"The shooting lasted for about 30 minutes but everywhere is quite calm as we speak.
"We can only get more information later because nobody has the confidence to move out of the hostel this night because we are not certain if the shooting will continue," she said.

Another eyewitness told our correspondent that the riot started in front of the School of Management and Business Studies just a few metres from the main entrance.
"As we speak, I can confirm that two people have been shot. I think they died on the spot as well. But, I cannot truly ascertain their conditions because they were laying lifeless after the shooting," the student said on condition of anonymity.

A student of the institution later explained that about four of the students were shot and that it was a lady that led the 'operation'.
"Honestly, the elections had been free and fair and everybody was glad that it had come and gone," the final-year student began.

The source who pleaded anonymity, stated further in clear terms that, "I was in class at about 7 or 8pm when I started hearing sporadic gunshots all over the place.
"It was so fierce that I had to quickly take cover. When I got out, reliable guys here told me that four people had been shot already.
"The amazing thing is that the person who was shooting was said to be a lady, those who saw her confirmed it. But they did not disclose her identity just yet, I really do not think she is a student of YCT.
"Another thing that cannot be confirmed right away is whether the people who were shot are dead or alive because I did not see any corpse this morning".

The students, who were preparing for their exams slated to start on Wednesday 11 March, may have to wait for a lengthier period as the school management may likely shift the date following the recent violence that marred the SUG election.
"Students are very few in the school as I speak and we are not likely to start our exams this week unless the Management wants us to continue despite all that has happened.
"The date for the commencement of the exam is 11 March, but whether it will be rescheduled or not is what nobody is aware of fight now.
"I really hope that everything remains as calm as it is this morning because yesterday was really hell in the school premises".

Reports also have it that policemen with about 8 vans stormed the institution's Yaba Campus to restore order to the school.

Rumours are now rife that the students are likely to engage in another round of gun battle soon as some others have vowed to protest the commencement of their exams which started on Wednesday(today).

BBN had earlier reported that the Students's Union body recently held a feast in the premises of the institution for all students.
One student who pleaded anonymity had this to say on the matter;
"Every year before a new set of excos arrive, the outgoing ones kill cow and cook rice for all students to enjoy themselves. This year was not an exemption as the students queued to get their portions and, it was really a sight to behold because of the way they were rushing for the food."

In another development, the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics may embark on another nationwide strike over the poor state of polytechnics in Nigeria.

The secret plans of the controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Charity Dikeh better known as Poko is reported to be making grand preparation to walk down the aisle with her purported Churchill Oladunni popularly referred to as Mr. X by the DB Records, Queen.

This move was revealed by some sources who said that the actress cum singer has quietly begun to plan a secret wedding with her rich beau.

After playing hide and seek game with the said man for months, the actress and singer, who revealed the identity of her secret lover recently because of the preparation, is happy about the new development; though, there are talks that the about to be bride is actually married to someone else.

It has been learnt that the actress and Churchill have settled for a secret wedding slated to hold in June.

We also gathered from an online news service, expressing.com that her parents kicked against their union after it became an open secret that the lover was married to someone else, but the actress would hear none of that.‎
"I can tell you now that the wedding will take place anytime soon. The intending couple is contemplating between Galileo Open Air Cinema, Cape Town and Waterfront Leisure Complex, Scotland where to hold the white wedding. I can assure you that the wedding might take place in June, this year," she source was quoted to have said.

Asked what her parents' reaction was when another woman claimed Tonto's lover is a married man, the source said the actress' father kicked against the decision initially but had to bow when Tonto insisted.

To buttress the claims, the River State born actress took to her Instagram page to announce that a real man is stepping up.
"We shall all be happy. We shall be loved for there is no greater accessory on a man like a fine godly woman & vice versa for the women* #feels good to take a break from paying bills to a real man stepping up", she wrote excitedly.

Gobe! Alao-Akala Collapses, Rushed To The Hospital

The camp of the Labour Party in Oyo State was on Wednesday thrown into confusion and panic following the sudden collapse of the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.

The development marred the National Working Committee meeting of the party slated for Premier Hotel, Ibadan, as party faithful waited for several hours for the arrival of the former governor who was said to have been rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the state capital for urgent medical attention.

A close associate of the LP candidate who is also a party chieftain claimed that Alao-Akala had for some now been battling an undisclosed ailment which has reduced his physical appearance at campaign rallies.

The party chieftain also disclosed that the LP candidate oftentimes sits inside his vehicle to campaign owing to his inability to withstand the rigours of standing on the rostrum for hours.
According to the associate, the collapse might also not be unconnected with the all-night party organized by the Labour Party where party faithful and the former governor drank themselves to stupor.

It would be recalled that a socio-cultural organization had recently called on the three leading candidates for the April 11 governorship election in the state to submit themselves to health scrutiny so as to determine their fitness for the rigours of the office they are aspiring to occupy. Is Nothing! Obanikoro Reveals He Holds No Grudge Against Lagos APC Senators For Opposing His Ministerial Confirmation

No comments :

Following his confirmation as a minister, Wednesday, by the Nigerian Senate, Musiliu Obanikoro, a former junior defence minister, has said he holds no grudge against All Progressives Congress Senators from Lagos who stood against his nomination.

Mr. Obanikoro was reappointed by President Goodluck Jonathan to pacify him after losing his bid to become the Peoples Democratic Part, PDP, gubernatorial candidate in Lagos.

The Senate allowed Mr. Obanikoro, himself a former Senator, to "take a bow and go", without answering questions, a privilege reserved for former federal lawmakers.

APC lawmakers responded by walking out of the session in protest.

Speaking via his Twitter handle, @Mobanikoro Wednesday afternoon, Mr. Obanikoro said the position of the Lagos senators strengthened Nigeria's democracy.

"I want to use this medium to express my profound gratitude to my distinguished colleagues in the Senate for their kind support," he said. "I am particularly grateful to the President of the Senate and other principal officers representing the Senate majority and minority."

He added, "I have no ill feelings towards the Senators from Lagos who stood against me. Their position has amplified the strength of our democracy."
"In times like these, we learn that there is no winner or loser and that our shared hopes are greater than the politics that divide us," Mr. Obanikoro said.

Meanwhile, the Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, also named in the Ekiti election scandal, congratulated the new minister.
"Congratulations to @MObanikoro as he is confirmed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the National Assembly," he wrote via his @GovAyoFayose handle.

PSG Players To Get FAT Check If They Defeat Chelsea...each player gets over N53Million

David Luiz might insist Jose Mourinho isn't all that tough, but his club think differently after offering Paris Saint-Germain's stars a staggering £180,000 per man if they beat Chelsea tonight.

The French champions travel to Stamford Bridge needing to score in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against the Blues.

Edinson Cavani equalised at the Parc de Princes after Branislav Ivanovic had given Chelsea a lead three weeks ago.

And, if they manage to progress on leaving the capital, PSG will pay out 250,000 euros to each of the squad.

The Qatari owners are using their mammoth wealth to offer incentives to a team that has reached the quarter-finals in both of the last two seasons. With that in mind, Laurent Blanc's side will scoop 1m euros (£716,000) each should they win Europe's premier competition. That though hinges on whether they are capable of negotiating a tricky away leg. West London was the scene in April last year when PSG blew a two-goal first leg lead and crashed out of the competition with Demba Ba scoring a late winner to put Chelsea through on away goals.

PSG's players have already pocketed 100,000 euros (£71,600) a man for getting out of their group, with that to rise to 450,000 euros for a semi-final berth and 700,000 if they compete in the Berlin final on June 6.

Lobatan! Balotelli Trains With AC Milan

No comments :

Although Mario Balotelli has been granted time off to take a trip to Italy, he wasn't supposed to be training with his former club.

Balotelli visited AC Milan's training ground on Tuesday afternoon to visit his ex-teammates. Milan's social media team then uploaded photo of Balotelli in the club's training gear, which caused quite a stir.

This post was swiftly deleted and, for once, it would seem that a mini-storm involving Balotelli was not created by the controversial Liverpool striker himself.

It is reported that the photo was actually one of Balotelli training with Milan during his two-and-a-half years at the San Siro with the Rossoneri.

Milan, who currently lie 10th in Serie A in what has been a difficult season for Fillipo Inzaghi's side, confirmed Balotelli's presence at their training ground with a story on the official club website.

Balotelli also took to Instagram to highlight his visit, posing for a photo with striker Stephan El Shaarawy.

The Italy international has struggled in the Premier League since joining Liverpool last summer for £16million. He has only netted once in the league - the winner in a 3-2 victory over Tottenham at Anfield in February.

Liverpool have granted their players Tuesday off as they prepare to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium next Monday.‎

About Last Night! MADRID LOST, SCHALKE SENT PACKING.

Roberto Di Matteo guys won against Real Madrid but where still send packing because of away goals as Real Madrid progress to the round of 8.

Former Real forward Klaas-JanbHuntelaar threatened a famous upset with a stunning 85th-minute strike that meant Schalke needed to score just once more to progress on away goals.

Madrid's 2-0 victory in Gelsenkirchen in the first leg ultimately proved enough to see them through 5-4 on aggregate - but the Bernaneu faithful were less than impressed, as they greeted the final whistle with a deafening chorus of jeers as Real's relative slump in
form continued.

Cristiano Ronaldo had twice saved Real in a poor first-half showing as his headers canceled out goals from Christian Fuchs and Huntelaar  the Portuguese's double making him the highest goalscorer in European competition.

Karim Benzema put Real ahead on the night shortly after half-time, only for Leroy Sane to curl home an exquisite equaliser for Schalke, before Huntelaar's superb finish set up a grandstand ending to the game.

Real just about held on to deny Roberto Di Matteo's impressive Schalke side, but the pressure continues to mount on Carlo Ancelotti
after another below par display.

Nigeria Eyes Mourinho, Guardiola To Replace Keshi

SPORTS minister, Tammy Danagogo Tuesday recommended for the hiring of Chelsea handler, Jose Mourinho or Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola if their efforts to get Stephen Keshi for the Super Eagles failed.

The minister's recommendation has received knocks from the former Technical Director of NFA, Chief Kashimawo Laloko who described it as 'unserious'.‎
Danagogo had warned NFF should Keshi not be given the job, a coach with a lesser pedigree than Keshi should not be employed adding that, "we should be looking at coaches in the class of the Jose Mourinho's of this world, Pep Guardiola… Those are the kind of coaches we should be looking at".

But Speaking to a Vanguard correspondent yesterday, Chief Laloko was bemused at the minister's recommendation as he said that whoever gave such advice did not know what he was doing.

In his words, he said,
" they are not serious! Can they pay Jose Mourinho? Can they pay Pep Guardiola? The person saying this does not know what he's doing.
They don't know what they are doing. Where will they get the money to pay any of these coaches should they hire them?"
"These coaches are not hungry coaches and what kind of contract terms are they going to discuss with them. The minister should leave the NFF alone to do their job"

Protest March In Lagos Against Fashola's Plan To Privatise Water

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965‎‎
Dozens of Labour and Civil Society groups marched in Lagos, Tuesday, to protest the state government's decision to go ahead with its water privatization plans.
The procession which began at the Ikeja Under Bridge, ended at Governor Babatunde Fashola's office at Alausa, hundreds of metres away, where no government official addressed the crowd.
"We are here to deliver a message to the government that the workers are saying 'No' to water privatization and 'No' to sale of Lagos State assets," said Idowu Adelabu, Lagos State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
"The privatization will bring a lot of calamities to the people of Lagos State. Our message is very clear: There should be no privatization in Lagos State."
Since the last quarter of 2014, civil society groups had continued to mount pressure on the Lagos Water Corporation, LWC, to back-pedal on its alleged plans to privatize public water supply in the state.
There had been ongoing talks between the LWC and the International Finance Corporation, an arm of the World Bank, on designing a water scheme for the state.
But in January, the World Bank announced that it was terminating the discussions with the LWC.
The LWC had, however, continued to insist that it was only seeking partnerships with private companies to optimize water supply to Lagos residents.
At a press conference last Friday, Shayo Holloway, the Managing Director of LWC, said that "deliberate misconceptions and rumours of secret plans to 'Privatize' LWC were untrue.
"The Lagos State government has never at any time considered the sale or divestment of any of LWC water assets," Mr. Holloway said.
"On the contrary, the Public Private Partnership (PPP) law of 2004 only seeks to 'partner' with the private sector for accelerated development of water infrastructure to meet the current water demand in Lagos State, which currently stands at 540 million gallons per day (MGD) for a population of 20 million.
"This is not 'Privatization' where assets are sold off to the private sector. Public Private Partnership is indeed a veritable strategy for accelerated infrastructure development, using private capital."
But the protesters on Tuesday said that privatization and PPP were "one and the same."
"We are saying that PPP is the same things as privatization," said Akinbode Oluwafemi, Director of Corporate Accountability, Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria.
"On the streets of Lagos today, you can see how the people joined us saying no to whatever form of privatization. PPP is privatization. What they have done is to use a sexy language to colour what they are doing.
"But basically, they want to hand over our water to private companies. It's a practice that was being promoted by the IFC and the World Bank. It has failed all over the world and we are sure it will fail in Lagos."
The protesters, bore such placards as 'This is Lagos, our water, our right;' 'The cry of the masses will ask you, Holloway;' 'Profit not from what God freely give. It is a sin;' 'Save our water save Lagos.'
Mr. Oluwafemi noted that Lagos State has enough raw material and resources to generate sufficient potable water for Lagos residents.
"And Holloway also said it, that the raw material that is needed for water is abundant in this state. So what are they waiting for? Let them give Lagos water to Lagos people," said Mr. Oluwafemi.
"They are talking to private companies. We don't know their names, they are keeping it secret against the law of our lands. But we will continue to tell them to do what is right."

INEC Satisfied With Card Reader Test Despite 41%Finger Print Failure

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965‎‎
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has expressed satisfaction with Saturday's field-testing of card readers, planned for use in validation of voters in the March 28 and April 11 general elections.
The electoral body said in a statement that the exercise, held in 12 states from the six geo-political zones of the country, was successful and will prove useful during the elections. It however acknowledged challenges in confirming finger prints.
The statement came amid controversies between the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which opposes the use of card readers during the polls, and the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, which backs the policy.
INEC says the cards will help combat electoral fraud.
The electoral body said it achieved 100 per cent success in its objective of verifying the authenticity of the Permanent Voter Cards presented by voters on Saturday.
On the biometric authentication of voters, INEC conceded that only 59 per cent of voters who turned out for the demonstration had their fingerprints successfully authenticated.
However, the Commission allayed fears of disenfranchisement of voters, saying provision for manual validation had long been put in place for such cases.
"The Commission, in agreement with registered political parties, had provided in the approved Guidelines for the conduct of the 2015 elections that where biometric authentication of a legitimate holder of a genuine PVC becomes challenging, there could be physical authentication of the person and completion of an Incident Form, to allow the person to vote," the statement by spokesperson, Kayode Idowu, said.
The card readers' test showed the devices could help generate data essential for research and planning purposes, INEC said.
"The Smart Card Readers provide disaggregated data of accredited voters in male/female and elderly/youth categories – a disaggregation that is vital for research and planning purposes, but which INEC until now had been unable to achieve. The demonstration on Saturday fully served this objective," it stated.
The electoral body said the card readers were able to send data of all accredited voters from polling units to the Commission's central server, thereby checking attempts at fraudulent alterations.
However, the test-run in Ebonyi State will be repeated on Saturday as the state recorded that highest number of cases of failed fingerprint validation, INEC said.
The Commission said it "took a serious view of the high rate of the SCRs' failure to authenticate voters' fingerprints in some areas, particularly in Ebonyi State, and has decided to thoroughly investigate the cause; as well as repeat the public demonstration in that state.
"This demonstration will be conducted in the particular Registration Area involved in the last exercise, namely Izzi Unuhu (Abakaliki Local Government Area); as well as in Ibii/Oziza Registration Area (Afikpo North LGA). The repeat demonstration will be on Saturday, March 14th 2015."
Meanwhile, a coalition of civil society organisations, Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room, has thrown its weight behind INEC on the use of card readers and permanent voter cards for the forthcoming general elections.
The group said its observation of Saturday's test run showed that the exercise was highly successful.
Situation Room said the exercise passed integrity test and was commendable.
"On the basis of the test and assurances of improvement, Situation Room calls on the full use and deployment of the Card Readers and PVCs for the 2015 Nigeria general elections," it said.
It observed that "the card readers functioned properly with occasional connectivity issues and the verification process of the PVC was almost seamless…"
Although it noted there were reports of delays and challenges in authentication of fingerprints, the group added, "however, people were asked to fill incident forms, which did not stop them from being accredited but slowed the process".
Situation Room urged INEC to improve on areas where it had challenges in the course of the Saturday's mock election.
These areas, Situation Room said, included voter education and civic orientation; biometric authentication process; transportation of electoral personnel, especially in the rural areas; and "issue of discrepancies of details on the PVC and the card reader in a way that the Card Reader can be reconfigured in a timely manner so as to avoid disenfranchisement of any voter."

President Goodluck Jonathan has removed Gen. Martin Luther Agwai (rtd.) as Chairman of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P).‎
Accordingly, he appointed former Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Mr. Ishaya Dare Akau as the new chairman of SURE-P.
Although no reason was given for Agwai's removal, his sack is coming barely a week after Agwai had declared at the birthday ceremony of former President Olusegun Obasanjo that "change is inevitable."

Presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati noted in a statement that the change is in furtherance of President Jonathan's "efforts to continuously re-energise and reposition agencies of the Federal Government for optimal service delivery."
Abati added that Mr. Akau, whose appointment takes immediate effect "comes to the job with years of experience as a high-level administrator in the nation's public service.
"His record of service includes tenures as Chairman of the Kaduna State Universal Education Board and Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission,", he stated.

Abati said President Jonathan thanked "the outgoing Chairman of SURE-P, Gen Agwai for his s to the nation and wishes him well in his future endeavours."

APC Insists Buhari Must Spend Two Terms In Office

No comments :

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked the notion being peddled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari will spend only one term in office if elected president, saying it is the creation of the PDP, which is seeking to play a section of the country against another.
"The APC will not abridge the right of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to spend the constitutionally-guaranteed two terms as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria if elected in the March 28 poll," the party said in a statement issued in Lagos yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
"No conditionality whatsoever was attached to Gen. Buhari's candidacy. He won the party's primaries fair and square in a globally acclaimed transparent manner, and he was neither a compromise nor a consensus candidate, hence, there is no need for him to make a deal with anyone.
"We are therefore, telling Nigerians to disregard the tales by the moonlight, which some PDP elements are yarning, in their desperation to muddle the waters ahead of the forthcoming elections and create disaffection between a section of the country and another," it said.

The APC said it had ignored the myth all along because it was being peddled by fringe elements in the PDP, but decided to put the record straight once and for all after those who were thought to be saner elements in the ruling party started parroting the same incredulous lies.
"This myth that Buhari will spend one term, after which power will return to the South-West, is along the same line as the outlandish claim that our Vice Presidential candidate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has sworn to an oath to resign in favour of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu once elected.
"The question to ask is: When will the PDP stop this campaign of calumny and character assassination against our candidates and leaders? When will they stop this one-day, one-lie nonsense?
"The truth is that Gen. Buhari's candidacy has brought out the worst in the PDP leadership and supporters, including Mr. President and his wife. Unfortunately for them, the more they campaign against our candidate, the more popular he becomes. Perhaps the PDP would have stood a better chance of winning the forthcoming polls if its state governors, in particular, have devoted as much time and energy to running their states as they have devoted to maligning Gen. Buhari," the party said.

Students of Medicine through their umbrella body Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA)‎ have bemoaned the abduction of a colleague and the spate of insecurity in the country.

NiMSA‎ in a press statement made available to BlackBox Nigeria and signed by ‎the President, Seriki Murital and Secretary General, Chilaka Franklin, ‎noted that a 200 level medical student of Enugu State University , Anita Sewuese, who hails from Benue State was kidnapped over a month and she is yet to be released by her abductors who are demanding N10million as ransom.
"We are deeply distressed by this development and appeal to the Enugu State Command of the Nigerian Police Force to put in more effort in ensuring her quick and safe return. Meanwhile, we enjoin the Governors of Benue and Enugu states to see to providing all the support needed to free her from captors," NiMSA stated in its briefing.

NiMSA enjoined  ‎members of the public with useful information to make it available to the Police in order to rescue the abducted medical student, while calling on the security agencies to put an end to the spate of kidnapping in the region.
"Security officials and all quarters concerned are charged to ensure an end to the spate of abduction of citizens by notorious persons. We must mention that the abduction of medical students especially in Eastern Nigeria is becoming a worrisome trend and necessary actions should be taken to curb this recurring incident. The safety of medical students, who are studying to give hope of a sustainable future, should be taken seriously," Seriki stated.

The Medical students also use the medium to commend the efforts of Nigerian Military in combating insurgents in the North East part of the country.
"We commend the courage of the Nigerian Military and it efforts to ensure the security of our brothers and sisters in the North East. More so, we would be particular about students attending institutions in the embattled region.  We appeal that efforts are made to ensure their safety. In the event that the fights would come at the risk of their safety, it would be ideal to have the students relocated, " NiMSA wrote in its statement.

The Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA)‎ also noted with dismay the astronomical increase in the fees of Clinical students of the Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, which went from about N1.250million to N2.6million.
"It is of great concern to every Nigerian Medical Student that their colleagues are seemingly being muscled into paying the huge sum as there was no prior notice of increment in fees, " the students said in the press statement.
‎"We appeal to the University authority to understand the plight of its students and their parents who are dealing with the recent socio-economic condition of Nigeria. We suggest that all parties involved give room for dialogue and properly address issues and resolve them amicably."

It urged the School authority to see that the training of medical students in the institution is not disrupted as a consequence of the increased school feels.

NiMSA representing over 70, 000 future doctors of Nigeria said its voices and opinion are united on the issues stated above and believe that the discomfort of any of its member is a discomfort to the entire body.

AD Expels Presidential Candidate, Endorses President Jonathan

The Alliance for Democracy (AD) on Tuesday dumped its presidential candidate, Rafiu Salau, for the 2015 general elections and adopted the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Goodluck Jonathan as its flag bearer.
Salau who was the National Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy became presidential candidate of the party but his candidacy was not endorsed by all members of the party, hence the decision to dump him.‎
The party's decision was taken at its National Executive Council, NEC, meeting held in Lagos.

The party said the decision was taken after it ratified the report of disciplinary committee that found Salau culpable of anti-party activities. Salau had been suspended for alleged anti-party activities which included claiming that he is the party's presidential candidate and being rude to the National Chairman of the party.

National Chairman of AD, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa, said after the NEC meeting that with the adoption of President Jonathan, the AD machinery and structures across the country was available for the President to take advantage of.
Noting that the decision to endorse Jonathan did not come easy as the party had to critically compare his record with that of General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, he added: "we can affirm that Jonathan has demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that he is a true democrat."

Akinfenwa stressed that the AD did not see General Muhammadu Buhari as a true representative of patriotic, detribalised northern people.
He also said the APC cannot change the tide of the country because its leaders had no moral conscience and that "we are alarmed at the speed at which Buhari's quest to become President of Nigeria has almost turned from extremism to fanaticism. He contested in 2011 and Nigerians rejected him.
"If Buhari becomes the president of this country, God forbid, it will facilitate Tinubu's quest to conquer and acquire Nigeria as he did in Lagos and this may be the end of true democracy in Nigeria."

Akinfenwa said Salau was expelled after 41 of the NEC members voted in favour of the expulsion while two voted against.

Former Vice President Atiku Vows To Remain In APC

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965‎‎
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday vowed to remain in the All Progressives Congress through thick and thin.

He reiterated his commitment to the party and the success of its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates in the 2015 general elections noting that his commitment is unwavering and never been up for bargaining.
Atiku said this while reacting to speculations that he was being courted by President Jonathan to return to the Peoples Democratic Party.‎
This was contained in a statement by his Media Campaign Office in Abuja.

He was quoted as saying "I remain irrevocably committed to the APC, as I promised in my concession speech at the conclusion of our party's presidential primaries, and has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the victory of General Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of our great party at the general elections."

The statement said that reports of the Turaki Adamawa's purported return to the PDP or any other party is the handiwork of mischief makers focused on pitching the former Vice President against other leaders of the opposition party.

Atiku Abubakar said that for the avoidance of doubt he is unequivocally committed to the unity of APC and that it will take more than the antics of mischief makers to break that bond.

Atiku noted that his return from Adamawa, where he convened a stakeholders' meeting and reconciled disagreeing camps within the party, towards ensuring victory for the APC bears eloquent testimony of this commitment.

It also recalled that the former Vice President currently supports the financial operations of the APC in many states, in most cases as a sole financier.
"I have backed my words and commitment with my resources to ensure that I bring my influence and support to bear on our party's march to victory at all levels in the general election. That should be enough to shut up mischief makers bent on derailing the APC's success at the March 28 and April 11 elections," he said.

The Atiku Media Office observed that as one of Nigeria's astute politicians and businessmen, there may be overtures from across political divides to the former Vice President, but restated that Atiku Abubakar has publicly stated his commitment to the APC and has privately rebuffed the approaches from all quarters.

Not Again! Lagos Doctors To Begin Indefinite Strike On Monday

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965‎‎
Doctors in the employ of the Lagos State Government have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike on Monday.‎
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Medical Guild, Dr. Biyi Kufo, the industrial action was precipitated by the action of the state government, which they accused of withholding their May 2012 as well as August/September 2014 salaries.

The doctors had embarked on a three-day warning strike in February to protest the non-payment of their wages.

In the statement,Kufo said,
"We are bewildered that the administration ignored all our efforts to resolve the matter without a strike, and only invited us to talk when we threatened a strike.
"There has been little in terms of a positive response from the administration since the warning strike was concluded.
"Since resolution was not achieved at the end of this period, members of the guild should proceed on an indefinite strike from Monday the 16th of March, 2015. However, emergency services will be provided in all the hospitals during the action."

The salaries of the doctors were withheld under the 'no work, no pay' policy of the state government after it joined its parent body, the NMA, on a nationwide strike last July to protest issues of relativity and other federal appointments in the health sector.
The guild accused the state government of operating a discriminatory policy as the salaries of other members of the Joint Health Sectors Unions in the state, who had embarked on strike between November and January, were paid.
