Damning Revelations From John Fashanu, Wife Divorce Saga As Adaeze Yobo's Mum Open Up

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
We are now at the age where celebrities deem it right to publicly address their family dramas rather than settle it amicably in private.
In response to John Fashanu's damaging claims last week that Abigail Igwe is a lesbian who tried to kill him after she caught him having a threesome with their maid. Abigail who is currently in the States with her daughter, DRAGS the name of her soon to be ex husband through the mud & she does NOT hold anything back.
John Fashanu is popularly known for his work as a professional football player & TV presenter in England but Abigail Igwe paints a very different picture of a man who couldn't pay his rent, stalked her, a liar, a fraud & a man who allegedly had a hand in his brother's suicide…

Read excerpts from her interview with Encomium below:
John is a chronic liar
All the things he told you are lies. No media house that wants to survive should listen to John Fashanu.
He's a chronic liar. He's a drowning man who is looking for another person to drown with. Is it a man that should be ranting or a woman? He's the one that is hurt that I kicked him out. Who does not know him?
I was ashamed that I lived with such a man. I didn't know what to say. People will say were you not told? Is it a secret that he's like that? I'm not such a loud person. That's why I quietly closed the chapter.

I kicked him out so many times
I've kicked him out so many times. He kept doing a lot of things. It was about fraud initially. He was continually defrauding people. That he had a wife that is a lawyer.
He defrauded many footballers, we saw him on TV. N2 million from them, from poor families.
He threatened them with guns. And they'd be crying.
He came to Abuja with only his bags
He came to Abuja without anything. I took him in. He didn't buy any car for me.
I kicked him out two years ago. He moved into his house, four blocks of flats.
He completed the house while living there. He used their money to build that house, the money of those footballers he defrauded.
He was stalking me, scribbling things on my car
He was drawing things on my car. He was caught when he came at night.
He was stalking me. He would come in the morning, and draw my attention to the damage.
And tell me that I needed his protection. That I couldn't live alone.
Such a thing has never happened in our estate.
He was caught and he apologized. Two years ago.

I forgave him
.
Why l was never Mrs Fashanu
My name is actually Abigail Igwe. He reported me to some people..
He stole my passport,  that I should change my name to Fashanu. That was when l wanted to renew my passport in July 2014.

He was angry.
Within me, the marriage had ended. That was why l was reluctant.
He said he psychologically killed his brother, Justin
That he was bad  to the extent that he psychologically killed his brother.
That the brother was mean to him. The brother didn't allow him to shine. That people thought he was Justin. That he needed his brother out of the way. He back bit his brother.
He then told me that during Justin's burial he stood behind after. They thought he was mourning. But he was laughing, that he felt happier that his brother committed suicide.
That, at last, he can have his way, now shine.
That attack is the best form of defence. I told him that the world is not a football pitch.
He didn't pay the rent of N2.5 million
He didn't pay the rent of N2.5 million. He was chased out from Lagos, and came with his bag. He lied that all the hotels in Abuja were fully booked. And I laughed.
I had a visitor, who told me to allow him. That you should give him your visitor's room. He started living with me and my children. That was 2009. We had started dating and doing business.

He plotted to marry me‎
Before I got married, he was targeting marriage. He didn't have money, he pretended very well.
He told me to assist him. That he's changing. He was professing so much love.
I never wanted to marry him  until he started pressurizing.
I told him that the relationship was affecting my Christianity. That we should end the relationship. That was when he started going around my pastors. I gave in to his pressure.

I was the one paying the rent
I was the one paying the rent. I gave him food, money and shelter. He didn't have any money.
From the business, we made money and we paid the rent.

He doesn't know where I live now.
I have always worked
Is that not funny, that I never worked? How do I take care of my children? They are in school in UK and America. He never added a kobo to their fees or upkeep. He doesn't take care of his children, not to talk of mine. You already know he's lying.
I don't work, but I've helped him find his feet. How else would I assist any person?

He cheated me out of a property

There's a land he wanted to build an academy. He tried, and he didn't succeed. Eventually, he  included my name in the document, and we finally got the land.
We applied for 10, we were given 7 acres.
To my amazement, he changed the document to another company's. My name was not in the new papers.
All these toiling came to naught.
This happened two years ago. I couldn't talk. He's very aggressive. His reply was attack.

I am not a lesbian, he never caught me with anybody
This is ridiculous. He didn't catch me with anybody. Because he's going to court, he's looking for anything.
I had prepared for divorce last year. The lawyer had prepared everything.
I got log of my calls from MTN. He was the one that called me from Colombia.

I caught him with two women. One was our maid.
I caught them in my house. I travelled and came back. He didn't know.
He swore not to give me divorce. That he would frustrate me.
He's a serial househelp sex abuser. He slept with his maid in London. He told me that his girlfriend in Lagos accused him of sleeping with the maid.
He was the one that said so.
I caught him with my maid in bed
The first one was in my house red-handed.  I was travelling, and he said he wanted to live in my house. That he would miss me.
I came back, accompanied by my friend. She was driving. I was looking for evidence. I told her that I was getting ready for divorce.
When we came in and opened the door, I caught them naked. The house girl is Igbo, and she ran. I called her came back. I spoke in Igbo. I told her that this man is shit. I cannot go back to him, that she should not worry. When the girl asked if I had forgiven her, I said yes. I said she should go back.

She said the cook had warned her to stop sleeping with John.
How can a man say his wife stole N1 million? He should be ashamed. He used to steal my money. I never asked him.
I told my friend to pick the maid's trousers and slippers…They were all ashamed. My friend picked the items and ran.
John chased my friend – and in the process, bashed my car. My friend kept running. I needed the evidence to go to court.
He later called my pastor. That he should calm me down. My pastor said I should forget about him. That I should leave him. That the trouble was too much.
He told my pastor that I should not go to court now. That I should allow the separation first. He went to pastor to ask him to beg that I should come back. My pastor can testify.

He did HIV test to show how much he loved me
John said he was ready to do HIV test. He did HIV test to show how much he loved me.
He asked me to take him back.
When he bashed my friend's car, I told him that I would sue him – and use this evidence.
He now started blackmailing my friend. That she was the one encouraging me to leave him.
He wrote the British High Commission that he no longer supports the visa (he recommended for her).
He wrote another letter withdrawing his earlier letter of recommendation for the visa. When my friend was coming from US, he branched in UK, and they stopped her.  If my friend was bad, would he have helped her get a visa?
This was August last year. She's a married woman. All this rubbish is because I got involved with a useless man.
It is ridiculous. He's a frustrated man. He couldn't get me after all the strategies and machinations.

A Nebraska, USA woman, who identifies herelf as an ambassador for God and Jesus Christ, has filed a federal lawsuit against all homosexual people on the planet for breaking "religious and moral laws."
Sylvia Ann Driskell of Auburn argues in a seven-page, handwritten petition delivered to the U.S. District Court of Omaha that "homosexuality is a sin and that the homosexuals know it is a sin to live a life of homosexuality," according to the Lincoln Journal Star. "Why else would they have been hiding in the closet(?)" ‎
The 66-year-old, who is representing herself in the lawsuit, cites Webster's Dictionary as well as a series of Bible passages in her letter, to back her claim. She challenges U.S. District Judge John M. Gerrard to not "judge God to be a lier (sic)," and slams gay people as "liers (sic), deceivers and thieves" in the case, filed simply as Driskell v. Homosexuals.
"I never thought that I would see a day in which our Great Nation or our Great State of Nebraska would become so compliant to the complicity of some people('s) lewd behavior," she notes. "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not."
The court is however yet to not issue a summons for Driskel.

WOW! 20 Year Old Female Student DefeatsPowerful Incumbent To Emerge Youngest MP In UK

The Scotland National Party's Mhairi Black has become the youngest MP since the 17th century, unseating shadow foreign secretary Douglas Alexander.
Black, a 20-year-old politics student who will finish her undergrad degree this month, is the youngest MP since the parliament of Charles II in 1667.
Labour has held the Paisley and Renfrewshire South seat since the 1920s, but Black took the seat from Alexander with a majority of 6,000.
"I'd like to thank the people of Paisley for putting their faith in me, and putting their faith in the SNP," she said.
"The people of Scotland are speaking, and it's time for their voice to be heard in Westminster.

Black is part of the breathtaking SNP surge in Scotland, which at this stage appears to have all but wiped out the Scottish Labour party.
In April, Black disclosed that she has one more exam to take before she finishes her politics degree at the University of Glasgow, after which she will take up her seat.
When asked if she was nervous about heading to Westminster, she said: "Nope – and I'm not saying that in an arrogant way, I'm saying that because I'm not the one who should be nervous – it's all of them down there who have to answer for what they've done, they're the ones who have to be accountable.
"If I become an MP, the nerves should be on their part. Not mine."

Just Curious! What Really Did Jimi Agbaje Do To Offend Oba Akiolu?

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
The idiom, 'water under the bridge', appears to be alien to His Royal Highness, Oba of Lagos,  Rilwanu Akiolu I.
Even after everything- the Igbo-threatening scandal and gubernatorial elections– the monarch still insists that Jimi Agbaje will never be Governor of Lagos state.
While many thought he meant that it wasn't yet time for Agbaje to be Governor, Oba Akiolu "still maintains that there's no going back". In simple terms, the Pharmacist turned Politician will simply never get the chance.

On Wednesday, at the public policy lecture organised by the Institute of Directors, IoD, the monarch said the following about Agbaje:
"On May 14, 2014 when I first told all residents of Lagos that the next governor of the state will be Ambode, many didn't believe me."
"I knew all the waters that have passed under the bridge, including my own blood relations, who without consulting me went with others to say that Bola Tinubu, Fashola and Oba Akiolu have pocketed Lagos, saying that this time, they will not allow that. And I told them that Jimi (Agbaje) will never be the governor. I still maintain it. There is no going back."
"I have no doubt in my mind, with the cooperation and prayers of everyone, Ambode will perform very well. I told many people that Bola Tinubu planted the seed, Fashola came and watered the seed and it started germinating in geometrical progressions. We have just started."
The above and all that's happened between the pair, begs the following questions;

1. What exactly did Jimi Agbaje do to offend his blood relation? Must be serious because we all know "blood is thicker than water" and everything.
2. Is there possibly a family feud lingering between the pair, that the public is not privy to?
3. Why is Oba Akiolu hellbent on Agbaje not governing Lagos, even after he's had his way with the emergence of Akinwunmi Ambode?
4. When Agbaje made the following statement after his latest defeat: "I tried once before, this is the second one. I'm not running again. If I can't be of service as governor, there are other ways of serving the state. I will find other ways of serving", was he passing a message that he's finally accepted his fate that he can never be governor of Lagos?
5. What if by some miracle Agbaje does a 360 on his decision not to run again, and by some divine intervention, Lagosians decide to vote for him en masse, what will Oba Rilwan Akiolu do?
6. What if Agbaje goes ahead to swallow a big slice of humble pie and hops aboard the Change-wagon of the All Progressives Congress… and the party fields him after Ambode, will Oba Akiolu be able to stop him then?

Fashola Beg Lagosians, Accuses LASU Lecturers Of Being Behind Citadel's Ongoing Crisis

The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, says those that are offended by his method of administering the state in the last eight years should forgive him, adding that there is no way he could have got everything right.
Fashola, during an event to mark his 2,900 days in office in Ikeja on Thursday, said the decisions he took in his eight years in office were taken in the best interest of Lagos.
He said, "We are preparing for a change of baton, but without the support of the residents of Lagos ─ your taxes, understanding and perseverance, honest criticism and prayers ─ we may not have come this far.
"Our incoming governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, will need more of the support that you gave to me. I urge you to stand very firmly with his team.
"To those that I might have offended, I apologise. For 2,900 days, I was called to make decisions every hour. I made decisions through the treatment of millions of files on issues affecting residents of Lagos.
"I took those decisions in the best interest of the state. And they were taken based on the facts as presented to me.
"To those that we haven't reached, please bear with us, the work will never finish. And I am sure that our new governor will continue from where I stopped."

Fashola called on Nigerians to join him in appealing to lecturers at the Lagos State University to sheath their swords in the interest of the students and parents who had made financial commitments to their children and wards.
He said the Vice Chancellor of the varsity, Prof. John Obafunwa, incurred the wrath of the lecturers because they wanted to determine who would become the school's VC.
He said it was not the prerogative of LASU lecturers to determine when or when not to remove the VC, adding that their duty was to teach the students.
Fashola said, "The problem is internal. All the workers employed by the state were employed to administer that university. And that is what they are paid for. We will intervene from time to time.
"Some of the crisis affecting the institution is that some people are demanding that they want to decide when to remove and replace the VC. And that isn't their prerogative.
"Their responsibility is to teach our children and not to choose the VC. And this happens whenever the tenure of the VC of the institution is about to come to an end; that is when the crisis starts.
"And people have told me that I should change the rules on the tenure of the VC to make them spend one term. And I said the law that I met allows me to have a VC for two terms.
"Why should I remove a VC after his first term? If it turns out that he is a good VC, why should he not spend the second term? Why should I throw away someone who is good because you are in a hurry to become a VC? That is part of the problem."

LAHA Speaker Race: Decision by Division (IBILE)

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
by Ashiwaju Rabiu Q.A.B (KORWEEY)

The position of the number ONE Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) is no doubt a mere position to be occupied by a ranking member without adequate and extraordinary character, abilities, intelligence, charisma, and unbeatable experience. As the outgoing speaker; Rt. Hon. Ikuforiji Sabit have laid rigorous foundations and prints that much be maintained and sustained towards ensuring the success of our incoming Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. Thus, based on the 5 divisions which Lagos State is founded and sub-divided, sharing of imminent positions has been done, probably in accordance to each division's level of patronage and pulled results at polls.‎
As history has it, it is evident that since the democratic rule between 1999 to date, almost the 5 Divisions (Ikeja, Badagary, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, and Epe) have tested and enjoyed the Government's administration by having notable position(s) (Governor, Deputy Governor, and Speaker of LAHA) in accordance to their contributions to the development and patronage to our State's ruling Party. And as such, Ikorodu be it as it may has been marginalized in every way possible by not been apportioned such sense of belonging and its rightful entitlements as Ikorodu Division have not lost the State's election to any party, but always won for our dear party. This opinion can be considered at this moment as Ikorodu has turned around notably and should be commended and reckoned with. It can be said that electoral results from each Local Government (from the 20 LGs) that Ikorodu's result have always been between 15th and 17th position as history has it. But going by the 2015 results, Ikorodu made a tremendous turn-around as it is evident that our results stands between 1st and 5th position, thereby being additional winning power for our Political Party. Such tremendous result needs to be maintained and sustained by giving such Division/Constituency a well deserved position in the State.
Going by IBILE (Ikeja, Badagary, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, and Epe), all these divisions have well tasted imminent positions in the State affairs either as Governor, Deputy Governor, and or Speaker of LAHA, except Ikorodu which was given good you can send it a 10-day Deputy Governor. Though, on-record, but to the real sense of belonging, Ikorodu needs maximum return in accordance to their patronage ability in the just concluded 2015 general elections. It is believed the position of Governor and Deputy Governor is out-of race, except for the position of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
As Ikorodu's record would have it, presentation of a 2nd term or 3rd term Honourable have been impossible till this very moment of having a more competent hand, intelligent, charismatic, passionate, and a well disciplined and respected 3rd term Honourable; Hon. S.O.B. Agunbiade whom we (Ikorodu's) believe is fit and entitles to the seat of the Speaker of LAHA, considering the present stand of Ikorodu among IBILE. Be it as it may, Ikorodu Division deserves a well and more meaningful position in Lagos State.
Coming down to zoning of positions of the State by Senatorial Districts, it is evident from the 7th Assembly that it is not the actual or most utilized criteria for selecting or sharing of the Three said positions (Governor, Deputy Governor, and Speaker of LAHA). It can be deduced from the current dispensation (7th Assembly, 2011 - 2015) that Rt. Hon. Ikuforiji Sabit was elected to the just concluding 7th Assembly in 2011 from Ikeja I constituency, while he was formally elected in 2007 from his hometown, Epe Constituency. He contested from Ikeja (Lagos West Senatorial District) because a capable hand, qualitative leader, well respected, competent and a well-disciplined person is needed to continue the stabilization of the Assembly for the completion of Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola's 2nd term office's tenure. Hence, the need for his return despite his constituency's rejection of his return bid while forgetting to consider the return that could be felt by the people of Epe.
From the fore-going of the 7th Assembly (2011-2015) it can be categorically said that the Governor emerged from Lagos Central Senatorial District, the Deputy Governor emerged from Lagos East Senatorial District, and the Speaker also emerged from Lagos East Senatorial District, and others like Deputy Speaker also from Lagos East, Chief Whip also from Lagos East, except the Deputy Chief Whip that emerged from Lagos East (Kosofe). This sharing opinion is believed to have been invalidated the use of Senatorial Districts as the sharing formula for elected positions of the number 1, 2, and 3 citizens of Lagos State.
Our great political party leaders should also consider the trust which Ikorodu division have showed in the just concluded election and its contribution to the development of our dear Party. The Party leaders should endeavor to maintain and sustain the trust Ikorodu division has displayed in order not to loose this division as we witnessed some loss of some of our Local Governments in some other Divisions of the State.

Strange Fire Guts Shops In Ondo As Hoodlums Resort To Looting

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
A mysterious fire incident has consumed several shops on the popular Oba Adesida road, Akure. Tears flowed freely as owners of the affected shops and houses watched helplessly as the fire razed their properties at about 2am on May 1. The affected victims were woken up from their sleep with the unpleasant news by people who live around the areas where their shops were situated and their night guards through telephone set .‎
Those whose mobile telephones were on, immediately rushed to the scene, even in their night gowns, while others who switched off their telephones knew of the incident the next day after the damaged had been done. It was a sorry sight as owners and sympathizers ran helter skelter fetching water from nearby wells to quench the raging inferno, as early efforts to get the state fire service proved futile.
However, when they eventually arrived, the water in their tank was insufficient to put off the fierce inferno, that they had to go searching for water more than thrice, revealed an eyewitness.
Telephone accessories
Among the items razed down in the affected shops were books, drinks, laptops, telephone accessories, shoes and generators. This is even as several people were reportedly wounded during their effort to prevent one of the properties in the affected shops from being razed down completely. Vanguard gathered that fire started from one of the affected shop and gradually spread to others. One source said the fire was caused by a power surge, while another source said that the fire incident was mysterious.
It was learned that save for the quick intervention of sympathizers, several other shops where books, musical instruments, clothing materials and others would have been razed completely by the inferno. Speaking to Vanguard, Olori. Adenike Adesida who owned Fiyinfogo Bookshop, said the shop and their family house were razed down by the inferno. Narrating her ordeal, Adesida, who said she has been selling books in the place for about 20year said "On the 1st of May, 2015 at about 2:00 am, we received a phone call informing me that my shop is on fire.
On getting there, we noticed that some of the shops at 73B Oba Adesida Road, including our family house have been destroyed. "We called the attention of the fire brigade to the scene, they came with little water to the place, and went back saying they didn't come with much water and chemicals. They said that the vehicle they brought is the only fire truck in Ondo State. "We discover that even the only fire service vehicle in Ondo State still had mechanical problems. So, they left to refill for about four times repeatedly for a period of about 45 minutes interval before returning with more water.
But unfortunately, within this period, the shops had already been caught with fire and razed completely. Hoodlums on the prowl However, while the intervention operations by sympathisers were ongoing, it was gathered that some hoodlums who also pretended to be good Samaritans looted some of the shops. Two of them were reportedly apprehended when they attempted to cart away some telephone accessories and a generator into a waiting vehicle parking close to the scene of the inferno.
In another development, Jide Alebiosu, one of those who rallied around to put-out the inferno, took a swipe at the state fire service, asking government to probe its activities  Alebiosu recalled that in a gas explosion, last December in Arakale area of the state, many shops were completely razed because the fire service failed to show up despite several distress calls put to them by the people.
He pointed that the fire service has proven to be unable to render the needed services expected of them in times of distress, thereby calling on the state government to beam it's searchlight on the activities of the fire service. "If the problem of the place is lack of equipment, government should as a matter of urgency intervene. The activities of the state fire service is worrisome to the people of the state. There would be a time when members of the public may vent their anger on the state fire service if the ugly situation persists," he cautioned.
Meanwhile, efforts to speak with officials of the state fire service proved abortive as one of the officials said as civil servants he is not authorised to speak to the press. have visited the ministry and the Chief of Staff to the governor on several occasions but nothing has come out. "But we still trust God and believe that our governor will fulfil his promise that government will compensate us. At the moment, we are just managing by displaying our wares for sales along the road side, as life has been very difficult for us since the gas explosion which destroyed our shops and properties."

Ogun State Police Command yesterday uncovered another suspected ritualists' den in Unity and Peace Estate, along Itele-Lafenwa Road, Ota, Ado Odo-Ota Local Government Area. Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the latest discovery was made possible by the escape of a 28-year-old lady, who had been kept bound in an uncom-pleted building in the estate.

Survivor lured by 'boyfriend.
The lucky victim was said to have been told by her captors that they would come for her in the night, but she struggled to free herself and rolled towards the entrance of the building before she was noticed. Passers-by saw her and came to her rescue.
She did not disclose her identity before policemen from Itele Police Station arrived and cordoned off the area.
When policemen combed the surroundings of the uncompleted building, decomposing bodies of two female victims were found in the bush. Human bones also littered the place.
Adejobi said: "The command has taken over the building and our men would take some samples from the scene for forensic analysis in order to assist the command in its investigation."
How I was taken—SURVIVOR
Narrating how she became a victim, the lady said she had met one of her captors two weeks ago, and they struck a relationship.
She said the man called about two days ago, saying he had secured a cement supply contract worth N1.5 million for her at a site in the estate.‎
However, on getting to the site, the 'boyfriend' who lured her to the building was joined by other members of the gang and they began to rough-handle her.
She said: "They attempted to rape me. But I was having my monthly flow.
"They then tied both my hands and legs, covered my face and mouth with cloth, and promised to come back at night to complete their assignment. It was a miracle that passers-by rescued me."

Crisis Hit Presidential Transition Committee As APC Says President Jonathan's Handover Note Not Ready

With barely 22 days to the May 28 handover date, the transition committee set up by outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan has yet to meet its counterpart, set up by the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.‎
This is even as it has come to light that the handover notes, which the Buhari team is to study and ask questionson, are not yet ready.
It was gathered in Abuja on Thursday that the bickering between the two teams over terms of reference of the Ahmed Joda-led Buhari Transition Committee is largely responsible for the stalemate.
The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, confirmed this in a statement he made available to newsmen in Abuja.
Mohammed, who is a member of the Buhari Transition Committee, explained that while the Jonathan Inauguration Committee had been meeting with its counterpart in the Buhari team, "its transitional committee has yet to even meet with ours."

The APC spokesman also chided the Political Adviser to President Jonathan for attacking the APC over the issue.
It described as provocative and ill-intentioned the statement credited to the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Prof. Rufai Alkali, that the APC should talk less and plan more for the nation, and that the party (APC) was seeking to stampede the President out of office.
Mohammed said, "Prof. Alkali doesn't know what he is saying. How does he expect us to plan when the Peoples Democratic Party-led Federal Government has bluntly refused to cooperate with us in ensuring a successful transition? As we write, the transition committee of the Federal Government has yet to hold a single meeting with our own transition committee, neither have they given us a line of handover note.
''As a matter of fact, the Jonathan administration has said the handover notes will not be ready until the third week of May, meaning just a week before the handover.
"What time then do we have to scrutinise the handover notes? How can we plan when we don't even know which projects they have and which ones they have completed and which ones are outstanding? How can we plan when we don't even know how many barrels of oil are sold per day?''
The statement also said, ''Is it part of their transition mode that President Jonathan has been engaged in a rash of feverish last-minute appointments that, though may not have breached any known law, are patently in bad faith, morally repugnant and indecorous.
"They say they are in office until May 29, but are appointments the only function of a government? Are there no problems crying for attention, such as the intractable fuel scarcity, the worsening power situation, the grounded economy and the missing Chibok girls?"
The APC also urged President Goodluck Jonathan to caution his aides against overheating the polity with their incautious statements, especially relating to the transition of power.
The party said while "the PDP may be deeply traumatised by its loss in the last general elections – and the party itself has said it is indeed suffering from post-election (defeat) trauma – that should not be a reason for it to disrupt the nation's peace by displaying crab mentality."
The APC wondered if it is part of the transition mode of the Jonathan administration that the Minister of Power has virtually been reading the riot act to the incoming government, condescendingly warning it not to even consider reversing the power sector privatisation because its gains are ''very obvious?''.
"Do they understand the implication of their gratuitous and unsolicited advice? If their power sector reforms have been so successful, would Nigeria's power situation have hit perhaps its lowest point in a long time as we have it now?'' It queried.
The APC said in as much as the Jonathan administration is bent on provoking the incoming administration, creating confusion and even sabotaging the transition, the party (APC) has decided not to fall for their antics in the interest of peace.
The party reiterated its earlier advice to the PDP to shake off the trauma of defeat and gear up for the challenging task of being in opposition.
''They must however realise that being in opposition is not a walk in the park, but like running a marathon in the desert where there are no oases or shades. The sooner they realize that, the better for them,'' the party added.

President Jonathan Deceived Us, Ohaneze Ndigbo Begs Buhari

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee, yesterday, told the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, that President Jonathan lied to the Igbo nation about awarding contract for the construction of Second Niger bridge and major federal roads in the South East.
Listing Enugu-Awka-Onitsha Expressway and Enugu-Umuahia-Aba Expressway, the committee said that up till now, work was yet to start at the sites.
It added that no financial commitment had been made by the Federal Government to commence the construction of the Second Niger Bridge, saying that those were deceptive campaign messages to Ndigbo.
The committee made the revelation during its congratulatory visit to Buhari at the Defence House in Abuja.
The leader of the delegation, Chief Ralph Obioha, who spoke on behalf of the Committee, however, told the President-elect that the South-east was a silent supporter of his presidential ambition.
He also stated that the region would fully support the incoming government to succeed, urging him to reconstruct Nigeria.
Revisitation of the report of Oputa Panel and the issue of abandoned property in the country were also other matters the committee presented before Buhari.
He said: "This is a delegation of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee, who proudly took side with you, convinced that what Nigeria needs today is the leadership that you will provide to rebuild our battered and pulverised nation.
"The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee is fully aware of the difficult and daunting work that has befallen on your shoulders. And we are here to offer our commitment that Ndigbo will stand shoulder to shoulder with you on this mission to reconstruct our nation.
"We are also aware that our cry of marginalization is not unique to our region, but ours stands out as an SOS case as a region criminally neglected and abandoned by the outgoing administration.
"During your campaign tours, you saw things for yourself and needless reminding Your Excellency that South-east is an emergency case. You drove through the badly neglected and impassable Enugu-Awka-Onitsha Expressway and the Enugu-Umuahia-Aba Expressway, needless to mention the Oba-Okigwe Highway.
"Contrary to the election claims by the outgoing administration, no appreciable work is going on these roads, information has shown that no financial arrangement has been firmed up for the Second Nigeria Bridge. The Oputa Panel report has been gathering dust and Ndigbo have pleaded for the revisitation of the so-called abandoned property in Nigeria and its collateral reparation demand.
"One common denominator is that unknown to a vast majority of Nigerians, Ndigbo were the silent majority supporters of General Muhammadu Buhari, GMB, but a twist of "what is wrong with Nigerian" electoral result cannot prove it.
Obioha also made a case for the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, to be ceded to the South-east.
"This body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee, is a baby conceived by Chris Ngige and delivered by Chief Mbazulike Ameachi and handed over to Ndigbo to check excesses of the people who were just agents of a pre-determined agenda.
"Your Excellency, you were aware that the South-east was targeted by the PDP rigging machine which produced an election result that denied the zone of even a single senator and only three non-ranking House of Representatives members.
"Ndigbo request that you adopt the principle of necessity to give the zone the position of Secretary to the Government of the Federation which is your prerogative and in addition, a position of one Presiding Officer in the House of Representatives," he stated.
According to the leader, Buhari assured them of equity.
"He gave us assurance that he is going to treat the entire nation as his constituency for all and we believe him," he said
Also speaking, a member of the delegation, Senator Chris Ngige said that though the party was yet to make a categorical statement on the issue of SGF, he was optimistic that it would eventually consider the South- east.
"Well, I was in the first delegation that came the last time, but we cannot say for now that our party has zoned the position of SGF to the South-east because we have a Senate committee that is still working on distribution of party offices, executive and that of legislature which is where we have the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker, Deputy Speaker of the House of the Representative as presiding officers.

Students of the University of Ibadan on Thursday locked the institution's gate and closed down a major road while protesting the death of a 200 Level student of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Mayowa Alaran.

Alaran, who was alleged to be an asthma sufferer, was said to have collapsed while watching the European Champions League match between Barcelona and Bayern Munich at a crowded Common Room of Independent Hall on Wednesday night.
After his colleagues failed to revive him at the scene, he was taken to the school health centre, popularly called Jaja, where he eventually died. The students' anger rose from the inability of the hospital ambulance to arrive early.
Mr. Sola Adeyemo of the New Telegraph Newspaper was allegedly beaten by the students while his blackberry Z3 mobile telephone was taken from him as he attempted to record an official of the school who addressed the students.
The journalist's clothes were shredded before the police came to his rescue.
The visibly shaken Adeyemo said several students kicked and dragged him on the road before he was saved by the police.
He said one of the policemen, who he identified as Oladapo Ebenezer, took the phone from him, adding that when he asked for it later, the policeman said that the students forcefully took it from him.
Several mobile telephones were forcefully taken from passers-by and destroyed by the students who alleged that the owners were recording the protest.
For several hours, the students blocked the main road from Sango to Ojoo, causing huge traffic gridlock.
Four police vans were stationed in front of the school but it did not stop the students from having a field day. Effort by the institution spokesperson, Olatunji Oladejo, to persuade the students to return to the school fell on deaf ears.
Reacting to the protest, the UI Registrar, Mr. Olujimi Olukoya, said the rampaging students outside the school gate were not from UI. He claimed that the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Isaac Adewole, had addressed the authentic students inside the school on the matter.

The Presidency on Thursday morning broke its silence on the whereabouts of President Goodluck Jonathan's wife, Patience.
The Media Assistant to Mrs. Jonathan, Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja said the President's wife is currently in Congo.
He said Mrs. Jonathan was in the country to join her colleagues from Africa for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of a non-governmental organisation, Congo Assistance Foundation, floated by the Congolese First Lady, Madam Antoinette Sassou-Nguesso.
Adewuyi however did not indicate when Mrs. Jonathan arrived Congo or when she is expected back in Nigeria.
He only said his principal was received on arrival by Nigeria's Ambassador to Congo Brazzaville, Princess Onipede, in company of top Congolese officials.
The President's wife has not been seen attending any public event inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, since her husband lost his re-election bid in the March 28 presidential election.
She was conspicuously absent during the Good Friday and Easter Sunday services held inside the Aso Villa Chapel.
Mrs. Jonathan did not also join her husband for the funeral service held in honour of his top aide, Oronto Douglas, in Yenagoa last Saturday.
While she voted alongside her husband in the presidential election in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, she stayed back in her home state, Rivers, during the April 11 governorship election.
She had expressed fears ahead of the elections that she would be thrown into prison if Muhammadu Buhari wins the election.
The Presidency had so far kept mute on her whereabouts, therefore, giving room for speculation.
Adewuyi's statement read, "First Lady, Dame Patience Faka Jonathan, is in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, joining other African First Ladies for the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Congo Assistance Foundation, an NGO of Congolese First Lady, Madam Antoinette Sassou-Nguesso.
"The Foundation established in 1984 has engendered social action in the areas of health, education, skills acquisition in favour of indigent people of Congo.
"Dame Patience Jonathan runs similar organisation in Nigeria, the Aruera Reach-out Foundation which also focuses on the uplift of women and children, the needy and imprisoned.
"The First Ladies of Benin Republic, Senegal, Mali, Tchad, Niger, Guinea Conakry are also in Brazzaville for the grand finale of the week-long programmes, during which a National Centre for Sickle Cell Disease was inaugurated.
"Dame Patience Jonathan was received on arrival by Nigeria's Ambassador to Congo Brazzaville, Princess Onipede, in company of top Congolese officials."
