EME's Shaydee doesn't seem to be a huge fan of Mavin's boy wonder, Korede Bello.
Korede Bello has had an amazing rise to fame, starting with his stellar performance in the Mavins' Dorobucci, before topping the charts with his own hit, Godwin.
In a reported interview with Y! Naija, Shaydee described Bello as "lucky", adding that he made "proper" music.
Shaydee said:
"Like I always say, people are different. The music is different. I didn't just join the E.M.E to start making commercial music, my direction is different. Korede got lucky because he joined the Mavin Records at time when the label's doing so well, so sometimes timing is important. He is still growing, with time he will prove himself for us to see what he is really worth."
"I would rather have that process where I grow and not having to struggle to meet up to people think of my music. I have dropped different songs of different genres, R n B, Ragga, street song, hip-hop, all this is a process where I am showing my versatility. It is not just about having one hit song, when you listen to my songs, you will realize that they are proper songs and not just some club song."

The parole officer, Zachary Thomas Bailey, is reported to have gone to the woman's home, claiming he was there to carry out a study of her home in Coral Springs. The 50-year-old policeman then blocked her in her bedroom and inappropriately touched her genitals.‎
Bailey may have thought that he got away with the act, and so he returned to the woman's house the following day asking her for a massage. The victim refused, which prompted Bailey to undress, put on a condom, and then sexually assault the woman.
It was reported that in both assault incidences, the victim's daughter was in the next room.
"The video is extremely explicit," said the woman's attorney, Bradford Cohen. "It actually shows what her accusations are."
"The victim said, 'This is rape. This is rape. I don't want you to do this,'" said Coral Springs Police Lt. Joe McCue after having a look at the video. "Unfortunately, she was in fear that if she reported this, he would violate her probation and put her back in jail."
A condom believed to have been used by the victim was found in the room. As investigations continue, the police have secured both the video and the condom as part of the evidence.
"This is someone who is hired to protect you," said McCue, "and you don't expect your probation officer to be acting in this manner."
Bailey has since been fired and was arrested and charged with 2 sexual battery charges. He has been attached to the Florida Department of Corrections for more than 25 years.
Besides other investigations, the police have also urged anyone who may have been subjected to a similar experience by the officer to report to them.
"At this time, we're really uncertain if there are additional victims out there or not. However, if there are additional victims, you need to go to the authorities," said McCue. "Don't be afraid your probation is going to be violated. It's very important that you come forward."

Polyandary! Woman Attacks Lagos Husband After He Discovers She is Also Married To Someone Else

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
A woman from Delta State who allegedly hid her adulterous relationship from her husband, Lekan Onipede, is now on the run after viciously attacking him with boiling water and a knife.

According to Sun Newspaper, the woman, Rosemary David, had a son for Onipede, a 31-year-old indigene of Ondo State, about 11 years ago, when he was 20.

While still living with him under the concept of Common law marriage, and in what would appear to be a case of polyandry, she allegedly hooked up with another man in Delta State and had two other children (a boy and a girl) with the man, passing them off as Onipede's children.
Over the years, David perfectly juggled the two 'husbands' in Ondo and Delta states, co-habiting with one or the other in a near seamless manner until the bubble burst, and set the stage for the heinous attack on Onipede after accusing him of adultery. The tale began when David who was living with her parents in Ore, Ondo State, got into a relationship with Onipede and became pregnant. With Onipede insistent on not allowing her abort the pregnancy, she dropped out of school and later gave birth to a baby boy.
After the birth of the baby, Onipede relocated to Lagos to study at a technical school and also seek means of earning income to support David and the baby. While Onipede struggled to find his feet in Lagos, David alternated between living with her parents and Onipedes' parents in Ondo State on the one hand and her aunt in Delta State on the other hand.

Two years later, Onipede completed his training at the technical school at Abule-Ado, Lagos State, got a job and then invited David to come and live with him. This began their 'marital' journey. A few weeks later, David informed him that she was pregnant. Quite upset with the news, Onipede expressed his displeasure, but promised to do his utmost to cater for the family.

As it would later turn out, David regularly traveled to Delta State to visit her aunt and her mother, during which she would stay for three weeks or one month. She continued to make the frequent visits to Delta State until she gave birth to a third child.

The first twist in the tale occurred four years ago, when Onipede and his elder brother attended a wedding in Delta State, where they met one of the brothers of David and his friend named Okey.

When Okey learnt that David was married to Onipede, he laughed scornfully and said: "Okay, let's see after the wedding because we have something to talk about." Okey exchanged numbers with Onipede and they kept in touch.

When the duo spoke, Okey told Onipede that his 'wife' had another husband in Delta State. Despite the protestations of Onipede, Okey challenged him to trail David to Delta whenever she embarks on another visit to the state. Still unbelieving, he did not act on the advice until the 2014 Easter period when David traveled to Delta State with the third baby.

Onipede called Okey, who urged him not to believe David's story of going to visit her aunt. Acting on this advice, Onipede trailed David to Delta State and spent three days searching for her. On the third day, he finally saw her with another man. Heartbroken, Onipede returned to Lagos the same day, after discovering his wife's infidelity.

Recalling what he overheard in the bar that night, Onipede told Sunday Sun:

"As I sat at the bar monitoring my wife, one of the men seated there said that he did know what Rosemary always went to do in Lagos. Every time, she would go to Lagos and leave her husband here at home. I am sure it is because of the first wife of the man she is married to. I returned home, I took my two children that Rosemary left behind for blood test since DNA test is expensive. The only child who had the same blood group as my was the first child I had with Rose in secondary school. When she came back from Delta, I told her that I got a new job and said that she should go and do a blood group test as the company required the whole family to do such. When she did it, the second and third children had the same blood group but it was not the same with their mother's blood group or mine. That was when I knew the children were not mine."

As it stands now, the police are said to be making efforts to track down David who is on the run.

Suspected members of a notorious female cult in the Bayelsa State owned Niger Delta University, Ammassoma, on Saturday attacked a 17-year-old student over her refusal to join the group.
The suspected cult members, who were reportedly led by a final year student of the Education Department of the institution, Annabel, attacked their victim within the Hostel F and injected her with a strange substance after subjecting her to severe beating and torture.
The victim of the attack, is said to be the daughter of a lecturer in the school and a student of the Economics Department.
However, some student sources gave different versions as to the cause of the attack when our correspondent visited the school.
While some students claimed the attack on the victim was due to domestic squabbles among room mates, others claimed the victim ran into trouble with the suspected cultists due to her strict Christian ways.
They said her faith made her to refuse to accept advances to belong to the notorious cult group involved in lesbianism and other vices on campus.
A friend of the victim, who identified herself simply as Claire, said the victim was attacked at about 4am in her room.
She said, "She was tied to a chair and severely beaten by four girls. Her hair attachment was forcibly removed and she was injected with a substance that made her behave in a crazy manner for days. When the attackers saw that the girl had fainted, they brought her out of the room in the early hours of morning and they were apprehended."
It was learnt that the investigation into the incident was reported to the Students' Senate Disciplinary Committee and the outcome of the investigation will be made known to the institution authorities this week.
It was learnt that initial attempts were allegedly made by some Hostel F executive committee and friends of the attackers to bribe the victim with N50,000 to settle her hospital bill and buy her silence over the incident.
When contacted on the development, the Public Relations Officer of the Institution, Domo Alagoa, denied knowledge of the involvement of suspected female cultists in the attack.

A 10-year-old girl, Chidinma, has been admitted at an undisclosed hospital after a couple – Eucheria Chukwuma and Jerry Oko-Oboh – allegedly beat her up and stabbed her in the private parts with a broken bottle.‎
It was learnt that the couple and the victim's family lived on Joshua Street, Agbabiaka, in the Ajangbadi area of Lagos.
It was learnt that the couple assaulted the minor for allegedly fiddling with the vagina of their three-year-old daughter, Peace.
It was gathered that Chidinma, who denied the allegation, had played with Peace at about 7pm on April 6. It was alleged that the toddler later cried and told her parents that Chidinma fiddled with her private parts.
Angered by the complaint, 30-year-old Chukwuma, it was learnt, went to Chidinma's mother, Ofia, demanding that Chidinma follow her to her room.
A few minutes later, Ofia reportedly heard her daughter screaming and rushed to Chukwuma's apartment to see what was wrong.
On getting there, the door was said to have been locked by the couple who reportedly beat up the victim repeatedly with punches. Not satisfied, the wife allegedly stabbed Chidinma in the private parts and smeared them with pepper.
Our correspondent was told that the couple fled the neighbourhood when blood started gushing from Chidinma's vagina. They were later trailed and arrested by the police after the attack was reported at the Okokomaiko Police station.
The police said Chukwuma, in a statement she voluntarily made at the station, confessed to the crime, saying she became furious when the girl declined comments about Peace's allegation.
She and her husband were subsequently arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate's Court on three counts bordering on assault.
The offence, according to the police prosecutor, Olusoji Ojaokomo, is punishable under sections 171, 243 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.
The charges read in part, "That you, Eucheria Chukwuma, 30 and Jerry Oko-Oboh, 32 on April 6, 2015, at about 9pm on Joshua Street, Agbabiaka, Oke-Agbo, Ajangbadi, in the Ojo Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony and unlawfully assaulted one 10-year-old Chidinma, by beating her up with fist blows in her eye, which caused her harm.
"That you, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned magisterial district, did unlawfully assault one Chindima by stabbing her with a broken bottle in her private parts."
The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The presiding magistrate, Mr. P.A. Adekomaya, admitted them to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with a surety each in like sum. He added that they be remanded in prison custody until their bail conditions were perfected.
The case was adjourned till May 13, 2015 for mention.

The Ondo State Government says a strange disease that has killed some people since its outbreak on April 15 in Ode-Irele, Irele Local Government area of the state, is not contagious.‎
Dr Dayo Adeyanju, the Commissioner for Health in the state, made this assurance on Sunday at a news conference in Akure.
He said findings from post-mortem carried out on the victims and other laboratory tests revealed that the disease was neither epidemic nor contagious.
According to the commissioner, preliminary report shows that ethanol poison is found in the systems of all the victims.
"Our investigations revealed that the victims, who are commercial motorcyclists, gathered at some local joints to take alcoholic substance mixed with roots and some other local herbs on the eve of the outbreak of the disease.
"I can assure you that the disease is in no way contagious. The fact that none of the caregivers has contracted the disease has greatly underscored this point.
"Therefore, the fear of spread does not arise and should be discouraged.
"We strongly suspect ethanol poison and in view of this, we have ordered for another toxicology test for surviving victims," Adeyanju said.
The commissioner, who said there had been no report of new cases in the last three days, explained that 23 people were affected out of which 18 people died of the disease.
He disclosed that the five survivors, who have currently gone blind, had been referred to the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, for further examination and monitoring.
Adeyanju, however, insisted that he would not join issues with traditionalists who believe that the outbreak of the disease was due to some angry gods from which shrines some youths were said to have stolen.

Lobby For Next Senate President Divides APC

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965
AS the leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC, plans to meet to take final decision on the zoning of offices among the six geo-political zones, the North Central caucus of the party has asked the party to zone the position of the Senate presidency to the zone.
Meanwhile, the contest for the position of Senate Leader in which the North-West, that had produced the highest number of Senators, seems to be considered by APC, looks narrowed down to between the former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani fondly known as Yerima, and Senator Kabiru Gaya.
The APC caucus in the North Central, in a communique by the Zonal Chairman the party, Mr. Zakari Ede, and the six states chairmen in region, said it was clear that APC will form the majority in the forthcoming eight Assembly based on the results of the general elections.
Their demand, as stated, was hinged on the fact that the zone performed well in the election by giving adequate support to the party, adding that ceding the seat of Senate President to it will be a reward for their performance.
Insisting that the success in the North Central, being a vulnerable zone, should not be taken for granted, they said it would only be just and equitable for the position of the Senate President to be allotted to the North Central.
The communique read: "Following our party's overwhelming victory at the National Assembly polls, it is clear that our party will form the majority in the forthcoming eight Assembly.
"We need to emphasize here that North Central is a vulnerable zone and our success and victory should not be taken for granted.
"On the basis of the above reasoning, we therefore came to the conclusion and we humbly wish ýto state that, it would only be just and equitable for the position of the Senate President to be allotted to the North Central Zone and we hereby demand for same."
Meanwhile, ranking Senators from the North-West geo-political zone have commenced consultations and lobby for the post of Senate Leader, which sources from APC said will likely be zoned to the area.
However, Senator Ahmed Sani appears to be favoured, among other Senators from the zone, which has produced the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd).
Of the 20 Senators from the North-West, eight are ranking, having been elected more than twice, while some are coming from the House of Representatives, where they are also considered as ranking members in the chamber.
With the ranking rule, which gives preference to Senators who have been elected more than once into the chamber, top contenders for the Senate Leader position are Senators Sani, Marafa, Gaya and Adamu Aliero.
However, it was gathered that in addition to the ranking rule, having been elected into the Senate three times in a row, Senator Sani appears to have the most legislative experience from the zone.
Even as ranking Senators from the North-Central and North-East battle over the senate presiding officers' positions, some of the new Senators have started making moves to scuttle the issue of ranking in the composition of the Senate leadership of the eight Senate.

Presidency Reacts To Reports That GEJ Spent N2Trillion During Campaigns

No comments :

Add BBN on 2BAFB965

The Presidency has reacted to a front page story published on the Punch Newspaper that President Jonathan is asking for a refund of about N2 Trillion in campaign funds. Spokesmand, Reuben Abati discredits the report.
In a transcript posted on his website, the spokesman said,
The front-page story of the Sunday Punch of April 19 alleging that the Presidency spent a whopping N2 trillion on the 2015 General elections, and that a Committee of Five has been set up by President Jonathan to conduct an audit of how the funds were disbursed by party members and state officials is mischievous, false and embarrassing.
The President has not set up any committee as alleged in that story. It is also not true that the Presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party used state funds, or spent N2 trillion during the campaigns. The innuendoes are wrong-headed; the motives behind the story are suspicious.
The story alleges, for example, that the Presidency spent N2trillion on elections and embarked on a money-sharing spree to party members, support groups and state officials. The authors of the story and their self-appointed megaphones further insinuate that public funds were deployed in this regard. Their allegation of a theft of public funds is extremely malicious.
How much is the budget of the Federal Government of Nigeria? The annual budget of the Federal Government is a little over N4 trillion. The story is practically suggesting that half of the federal budget was spent on elections. This kind of reckless insinuation is meant to incite the public and instigate national crisis.
With FAAC having to do everything possible every month to ensure disbursements and with the Federal Government heavily committed to the war against terror in the North East, where is the alleged N2 trillion from the Federal purse? President Jonathan and the People's Democratic Party conducted the 2015 elections in strict accordance with the rule of law. The suggestion of any unlawful conduct cannot be sustained under any circumstances.
President Jonathan has done his best to protect and strengthen democracy and promote peace. He justly deserves all the accolades that he has received from both Nigerians and the international community for this. Certain persons and interest groups may not be happy that his profile has further risen and that his legacy is assured; but they do their country gross disservice when they act so unpatriotically.
Anyone who is engaged in imposing a crisis on the country by any means is not being fair to Nigeria. We can only appeal to the public to be wary of such reckless tactics now on display, which form the substance of an odd, malicious campaign after the elections.
We are particularly worried that since the March 28 and April 11 elections, some persons have continued to work very hard to diminish the Jonathan Presidency. They need to be reminded that the time for politics is over; it is now time to focus on the in-coming government, with emphasis on national development and moving the country forward.
