However, it appears that there has been general dissatisfaction over the way she runs things and has been tagged a tyrant and oppressor by some of the market traders. She equally has been accused of being corrupt and act wickedly irrespective of whose ox is gored.
Recently she was accused of sending some of her dreadful thugs to beat up the Babaloja mercilessly over his complaints on the deteriorating condition of the association that is at the brink of collapse under her oppressive rule. As if that was not enough, at another instance; she was said to have sent her thugs to also beat up the Iyaloja of mile12, Alhaja Iyabowale.
"These are some of the injustice and oppression we have been facing in the hands of Folashade Tinubu-Ojo", says our source who begged for anonymity. "It is devastating as the center could no longer hold due to her harsh and ill-mannered leadership. Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji was a direct opposite of Folashade. Mama was really a mother and a goddess of a kind to everyone. She held the markets in the whole of Lagos in unity and was loved by all and sundry. She was always there for us and did not condone corruption. She loved transparency and would present things the way it is supposed to be. Unlike our mother as marketers fondly call her, Folashade the present Iyaloja general swims in corruption. She had collected money from most of the Ibo people in the markets and yank off posts from the authentic owners who are mostly Yorubas".
According to our reliable source, she was collecting around 2.5 Million to 5 Million Naira from respective posts. The source continued "Gradually she has dominated all the important posts in the markets with the Ibo guys that have money to buy them. Some of the prominent members of the association like the Iyalaje general Lagos state, Alhaja Balikis Oluwatoyin Afolabi; the Iyaloja of mile 12 Alhaja Iyabowale and Iyaloja of Owolowo, Alhaja Idiat Olasunbo had on different occasions went to Folashade to complain on the unjust treatment meted out to the Babaloja and her habit of deposing the authentic owners of posts to give to the Ibo guys for huge money in return amongst other acts of atrocity and oppression. Instead of trying to turn a new leaf, she puts all those people in her black book".
Other sources further revealed that many people are terrorized. In fact we heard that at any meeting at the state secretariat at 10, Sunday Adigun St. off Kaffi Street, Alausa-Ikeja, Lagos; she would harass people and even send some members out for no cogent reason. Some members even go to Sunday Adigun with escorts to protect themselves because no one could tell Folashade's next line of action.
"When the All Progressives Congress gave out the whopping sum of 50 Million Naira to mobilize the market men and women, the Iyaloja general sat over the whole money. During campaign, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, her father noticed there was no support from the market people and called us. The matter was related to him, he begged us and gave us 10 Million Naira before we left his house and we shared the money between all the quarters without grudges from anyone. Upon that, Folashade called us thieves and insulted us like babies not even minding our age and status. Folashade Ojo loves money to a fault and she is direct opposite of her dad when it comes to giving. She is so stingy" claimed our source.
"When we tried to pick a new venue for our meeting, Asiwaju gave us land; we made a fence and bought blocks to develop the new site. She sent her hoodlums; they came and damaged our fence. They vandalized everything including all the blocks and the chairs we use at the venue. Severally, she had been reported to her father who is now fed up with her irrational behavior and does not actually know what to do to her.
The case was at a time reported to the Oba of Ikeja and presently been taken to the Oba of Lagos who sent for her and spoke seriously to her on a faithful Sunday when she came to the palace with her full supporters dressed in the same attire with the inscription "Iyaloja General, Adunni Folashade. Either she would change or not, nobody knows".

Former Ivorian First Lady Mrs Simone Gbagbo has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by an Ivorian court for organising post election violence after her husband, Laurent Gbagbo lost out in the 2010 Presidential elections in Ivory Coast.
The Prosecution team had initially requested for a 10 Year jail term but the court decided to double it making it a 20 year imprisonment term. In a unanimous judgement today March 10th, the court said Mrs Gbagbo together with her husband's supporters, after rejecting the results from the elections that saw her husband's main rival, Alassane Ouattara declared winner of the election, carried out activities that undermined the state security which left over 3000 people dead.
Laurent Gbagbo's son from a previous marriage, Michel Gbagbo, was also sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for his role in the post election violence. Lawyers to Mrs Gbagbo say they would be appealing the judgement.

The Presidential candidate of the African Peoples Alliance (APA), Alhaji Adebayo Musa Ayeni Monday said he will defeat both President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 28 presidential election.
Ayeni, who was a deputy governor of old Ondo State, based his confidence from the fact that 70 percent of voters in Nigeria are living below the poverty line and would prefer him, being one of them.
Also, he declared that his entry into the presidential race was in obedience to divine instruction, who had assured him of victory at the polls.
Speaking during in an interview with reporters in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Ayeni said he was in the race to fulfill God's directive for him to liberate the poor in the country.

The incident which occured at the BUK old campus shortly after the number two citizen rounded up official engagement in the University took the intervention of the Assistant Inspector General of police in charge of zone 1, Tambari Yabo before the Vice President regained his freedom.
The high risk drama began when dozens of heavily armed thugs posing as loyal party men beat the security cover around the Vice President and bare there fang before him.
Like a well rehearsed script, some of the thugs in unison chorused on top of there voices "Bamuayi Bamuayi Bamuayi" which meant "we are no longer with you", while other shouted mungaji da aiki banza", meaning 'we are tired of the job'.
The visibly shocked Sambo pull himself together and before he could utter a word, an equally embarrassed AIG Tamara Yabo ordered his men to disarmed the protesting thugs.

The wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, on Monday told the presidential campaign organisation of the All Progressives Congress that "she is a woman of peace that can never be identified with electoral violence."
She said there was no way somebody like her who occupies the exalted office of the President of the African First Ladies Mission would be promoting violence under any guise.
Mrs. Jonathan who spoke with THE PUNCH through her media aide, Ayo Adewuyi, was reacting to the decision of the APC to report her to the International Criminal Court for allegedly asking supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party to stone anyone canvassing for change, the APC slogan, during a campaign rally in Calabar, Cross River State.
Adewuyi said, "The only thing we can say from here is that Dame Patience Jonathan is a woman of peace that can never in any way be identified with violence before, during and after elections.
"You do not expect somebody who is the President of African First Ladies to be promoting violence."

Adewuyi said, "The only thing we can say from here is that Dame Patience Jonathan is a woman of peace that can never in any way be identified with violence before, during and after elections.

Governor of Imo state,Rochas Okorocha says that seven governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are in private meeting with the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC,to garner support for the emergence of General Muhammadu Buhari as the next president of the country.
Okorocha spoke at the APC Rally in Mile 2 area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Monday where thousands of party faithful throng to show support for Buhari and Akinwunmi Ambode as Governor of Lagos state.
He said the seven PDP governors were already in Lagos to hold a private meeting with the APC, but he did not disclose the identity of the governors.
"General Muhammadu Buhari' s (GMB) victory has been sealed and delivered. Today (Monday) about seven governors who are not APC are coming to hold meeting with us privately.
"There is fear in the country. And the fear was that they know that GMB is a good man and he will win. And they know that once INEC announces GMB as the winner of the presidential election, all the bad people who are embezzling the country's fund will leave the country at night.
"The fear of Buhari is the beginning of stoppage of corruption. Do you know that before in this country, Nigerians do urinate on the road? But when Buhari assumed power in 1983,it all stopped. And he also stopped corruption, " he stated.

"Second, the APC claimed that Buhari made a surprise visit to Chibok and went further to lie that the people and parents of Chibok girls were filled with hope and joy upon sighting Buhari and his entourage, and escorted him into Chibok with singing and dancing.
"Third, the APC cabal claimed that Buhari travelled to the United Kingdom on a working visit and used fake pictures to back up their lies that Buhari met with ex-British Prime minister, Tony Blair and had a television interview in London.
"Even when Buhari's wife admitted that her husband was in the UK to rest, the APC cabal went on with their lies, using pictures taken in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja as proof of Buhari's activities in London.
"If a party and its candidate could lie so brazenly as done by the APC and Buhari, do they still have moral rights to want to rule Nigeria?

Travelogue: A View From Outside Nigeria (2) By Jimoh Hamzat

My decision to move from Frankfurt Germany to Istanbul Turkey was occasioned by my intention to visit my medical friends from Nigeria who were on a conference in Antalya and promote the bond of Africanness and intellectualism. Like Professor Wole Soyinka's "You Must Set Forth At Dawn", I set forth to Istanbul abode Emirate Flight Boeing 707.
The situation was better this time, I had guarded myself with cold "evader" and had began to acclamatize to the 13 degree weather condition in Europe at the moment. The passage at immigration check was fine this time, as I was quick to show my visiting transit visa and the smile that I got at the flap of my Nigeria passport gave me some pride again and my morale became high.
In one hour, I had landed at the Antalya airport. In truth, one would not be wrong to say the problem seems to be in Nigeria. Once you succeed in surviving the harassment at Muritala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, your transit through the air seems to make you wholesomely new. A Nigerian that is respected!
The bus system from Antalya airport to the world class Atlantis Hotel and resort in Antalya was terrific as I rode first time on a WIFI enabled bus with no service interruption throughout the one hour journey to the resort. Did I hear someone echo that Nigeria equally has WIFI enabled buses, well thanks to the effort of Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos, Nigeria, for the BRT WIFI-Lite, though the differences were explicit. One can only hope it would even be as functional as expected given that we are masters in putting the chart before the house.
The speed of the Internet was jet like and the convenience of the bus cannot be compared to whatever I have seen in Nigeria. Now, I know why cars near new can be seconded to Nigeria as tokunbos! Folks here occasionally drive their cars, the public transport system makes using your car luxury. The "potholeless Nigeria" by the end of 2014 which was never achieved may have been modeled after the roads in Istanbul as I watched carefully to see if I would find any pothole, but I found none.
I got to Atlantis Resort and hotel in Antalya, a reformed dude, dropping into one of the best resorts in the world. I commiserate with my royal Elegushi friends on what a death they have caused of the Elegushi beach by selling swathes of their expanse of the beach land to private Estates' investors. Their children's children may curse their forefathers who sold these lands if someday they visit Atlantis Resort. My proud Oniru royal family friends are not exonerated as the long term investment of carving out world class resort centres from these beaches would have been more productive economically than the instant gratification of what is gotten at the sale of these areas to Estate developers and the meagre income that come from the shanties called bars at the beaches now, both of which have become shadows of themselves. Thank God for the newest Lekki Leisure Lake which has found more comfortable visiting than the duo of Elegushi and Oniru. Did I forget to mention the now moribund Eleko beach.
Maybe a private investor will visit Gurara Water fall in Niger state someday and make a good model of Atlantis resort and hotel in Niger State. I visited Gurara in 2013 and left in tears because the whole landscape point clearly to an abandoned money spinner. If adequately developed the tourism potential of the place cannot be quantified. Then one would ask, don't we have a Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation(NTDC)?
I saw nothing that was lacking in Atlantis resort throughout my five days stay. The prompt and courteous room service delivery is indicative of a working system and I was impressed to the foremost.
My zeal to incorporate my pleasurable stay into intellectual engagement got me to enrol in a one week leadership, business development and oratory improvement class. These three-in-one rendezvous later turned out to be a life time laurel as I was to be awarded the Best Speaker in the male category, while the awardee of the female category turned out to be Bakare Mayowa, a UK born Nigerian. We struck a cord immediately and opened a sluice gate to what I believe will be a life time intellectual bond.

Did I hear someone in Nigeria say that our Malls are beautiful, pardon me to say you will describe them as scanty when compared to the Metro and Romatem Malls, where we had brief stop overs.
My Nigerian friend whom we inquisitively rode together was quick to call my attention to compare the luxury service we were accorded in the bus as we were served light meals three times to the effect of our preference before we disembarked. She said on a lighter mood "Nigerians will be scared and suspicious on a bus ride if they were given this treatment". We seem to have accustomed our show of hospitality to attempt of evil plot against one another. Little wonder how our once indigenous family system is going down the drain.
Where are the worn-out buses and cars causing emission on these roads? I asked myself at a point but cannot find any, maybe, they are in Nigeria as I write, packaged as Belgium Tokunbos! Will my Nigeria forever remain a dumping ground for "tokunbo' cars? Surprisingly I am not exonerated as an end user of these Tokunbo cars as my duo fleet are "tokunbo' since I couldn't afford brand new.
The number of tunnel and trunk road we drove past cannot be indexed again, as I have lost count. I was quick to change in my consciousness my fallacious use of the proverb " there is light at the end of the tunnel" since there were lights even in the tunnels we rode in.
All through my stay, power supply was unapologetically uninterrupted, ousting the need for a generating set anywhere. What is amiss in Nigeria. If the same of the same has not given us anything to go by in development, then it is time to opt for a change. This African giant called Nigeria has a lot to get done.

On the 10th of March 110 years ago, some set of football enthusiastic men met in a public meeting on fulham road and unanimously decided to form a limited liability professional football club for stamford Bridge and called it "Chelsea Football Club".
110 years later the club have moved from the one that was admitted to the first division of the southern league to becoming one of the most popular teams in the world. However, the success story of the blues will be incomplete without mention the 2003 "Coup" that handed the ownership of the "Pensioners club" to Russia billionaire Roman Abrahamovic, whose spell in charge is unarguable the most successful in the history of the West London team.

Nigeria Football Federation Technical and Development Committee Chairman, Felix Anyansi Agwu has confirmed to that the Football House will meet with the representatives of out of contract Super Eagles' coach, Stephen Keshi on Wednesday in Abuja.
The meeting will centre on the new contract offered to the Big Boss and his reactions to some of the terms itemized in it.
Anyansi disclosed that Keshi shouldn't have proceeded to the media to express his grievances about the condition attached to his
new contract offer when he still has the contact of his employers.
He said the chitchat is at the instance of the Big Boss and that the NFF obliged it so as to put an end to the raging war of words between both parties.
Recently the NFF wrote Keshi and displayed their displeasure at the turn of event regarding the contract stipulations sent to him. The letter
