Manchester United and Arsenal re-ignited their age long rivalry in the Quarter-finals of the oldest cup competition in the world, with both team having no realistic target of winning any other trophy aside from the FA cup this season, it was always going to be an entertaining match for football enthusiast to watch.

The gunner were favourites, yet underdogs to steal a win from Old Trafford due to their hard earned reputation of inconsistency, after several attempts and good defensive works from both defenses, Spanish full-back Monreal met English attacker Chambalin's precise pass with a tantalizing left footed finish to give Arsenal the lead only for England and Manchester united Captain Wayne Rooney to head home Winger Angel Di Maria's Inch perfect cross minutes later to end the first half in a one all draw.

Like the first half, the second half began with both team showing the zeal and determination to advance to the semi finals of the competition, but just a moment of "madness" from Antonio Valencia changed the whole story and ensured that the fans of the Red side of Manchester felt the pain Van persie had been inflicting on the Arsenal faithful, when their former player Danny Welbeck, whom they had groomed from boyhood, thankfully finished a back pass from makeshift right back Valencia to book the Gunners flight to Wembley.

Blackbox Nigeria can confirm that Louis Van Gaal has commented on his sides home defeat in the hands of the gunner and that he as no regret selling match winner Danny Welbeck during the transfer window, however, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hails the teams victory over Manchester united as a psychological boost.
