Dangote Emerges Africa's 2nd Most Powerful Person As GEJ, Others Gets Ignored

Dangote makes the list of the 72 most powerful people on the planet emerging the 2nd in Africa as Nigerian President; Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, his South African counterpart; Jacob Zuma and other powerful heads of state in Africa are left out.

NIGERIAN business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has retained his position as Africa's richest man with a $25 billion net worth.
He has held that position for the fourth successive year.

Globally, the influential Forbes Magazine rates him on the list of 25 richest people in the world.
Dangote is ranked 23 up 43rd among the 100 richest persons in the world.

From ranking 334 in 2008, Dangote has risen above his peers and superiors to emerge not just as the richest African but also the first black man to be on the top 25 billionaires club.

Aliko Dangote was also ranked as the 2nd most powerful African making him one of the only two Africans on the recently released list World most powerful people. He is placed at number 68th behind Egyptians President; Abdel Fattah El-Sisi who is ranked 51st on the Power list. No other African is on the list which has Russian President; Putin as number one followed by Barrack Obama of America.

With interest in cement, sugar and flour, Africa's richest man also has extended investments in oil, rice etc. He was also recently quoted to have started a process of establishing a cola mine in Tanzania. His humanitarian gestures has also established him across the African region with a recent huge monetary pledge to help fight Ebola in the west African country of Liberia.‎
