Segun Adewale, the Peoples Democratic Party, candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District in the coming general elections, has dismissed allegation that he was a cultist in school or an armed robber.

Adewale said this during an interview to negate the statement of cultism and armed robbery made by his major opponent, in the forth coming election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

According to him, he attended the Universtiy of Ibadan for his first degree and Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo for his second degree and his records in both institutions are verifiable.‎
"These are reputable institutions in Nigeria, anybody can go there and verify my records. I have unblemished record in both institutions," he said.

Adewale, popularly called Aeroland, said that his opponent has to prove the allegations he publicly raised against him or he will seek legal redress. "I have put my lawyers on alert and if he does not prove these allegations, then we will seek legal redress," he said.

According to him, while in the university, he has a group of students he relate and always interact with. "They believe in my ideology and they love and respect me a lot. This is what he called being a cultist. The records are there at the University of Ibadan, anybody can go and verify my records," he said.

According to him, APC and Adeola are creating a demon out of him because they are afraid of his growing popularity and the fact that he is set to defeat Adeola at the general elections.
