The crisis bedeviling Lagos State University might eventually be coming to an end as the University Management has ordered the reopening months after it was shut down. In a statement posted on the University website, the management ordered for immediate commencement of administrative and academic activities in the citadel.

LASU RE-OPENS FOR BOTH ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVITIES ON MONDAY, MAY 18, 2015 

The Governing Council AND Management of Lagos State University hereby direct that the University be re-opened for Administrative and Academic activities with effect from Monday, May 18, 2015. Consequently, all staff and students are enjoined to go about their normal activities, in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. It is hoped that all outstanding issues would be resolved in due course. Thank you.
