Grandson of German legend Uwe Seeler Shatter Nigeria's Flying Eagles World Cup Trophy Hope

The flying eagles of Nigeria traveled to New Zealand for the Fifa U-20 World cup hoping to end the nations long wait of landing the only age-grade trophy that is missing in the west African countries gallery.
The team, which comprises several players from the victorious U-17 team that stunned the world of football in 2013 qualified from group E as second placed team. The Germans on the other hand had a Roller coaster ride in group F finishing 1st with 9 points.
However, a 19 minutes strike from Levin Oztunali handed the young Germans the lead and subsequently the quarter-final ticket to face Mali. Nigeria's brightest chance of the game was squandered by Taiwo Awoniyi who is bubbled as the next Rasidi Yekini. Incidentally it is worthy of note that the goal scorer Levin Oztunali is the grandson of German Legend and Football goal king who scored a total of 487 goals in 559 matches and some school of though believed the icon scored a controversial 575 goals in the course of his illustrious career. He was also west German player of the year for 1960,1964 and 1970.‎
