The crisis in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party might have returned as the party on thursday announced the suspension of the immediate past National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

This is following his alleged suit againt the current chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu over a battle for the leadership of the party. The decision to suspend Tukur was arrived at after a meeting of the National Working Committee over Tukur's suit.

The embattled ex-chairman has however refuted claims that he took the party to court. In a statement, he reviewed that he wasn't aware of any law suit as he was only made a co-defendant by the main plaintif in the matter. Bamanga Tukur revealed that Aliyu Gurin initiated the law suit and only included him as a co-defendant.

It is obvious the crisis is far from over in the party.
