70-year-old Found With Ammunition Arrested In Enugu

Operatives of No 3 Police Mobile Force, Enugu have arrested a 70-year-old for allegedly being in possession of 20 live cartridges.
The suspect, who was nabbed during a stop and search operation at Ozalla, along Enugu-Port-Harcourt Expressway, hails from Amanato, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the arrest.
"The suspect was arrested for being in possession of 20 live cartridges which was concealed under his vehicle driver's seat," he said.
"The eagle-eyed operatives had stopped one Volvo wagon with registration No Al 599 AKL, red in colour and in the course of the search conducted in the car, a bag containing 20 live cartridges of bullets hidden under the driver's seat was discovered.
Amaraizu disclosed that investigations have commenced on the matter.
