The embattled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, on Saturday declared that his fate as the speaker was in the hands of God. He said the ruling Poeples Democratic Party could not remove him as Speaker.

He stated that only God and his colleagues in the House could remove him from office as leader of house of representative.

The Speaker's troubles started after he decamped from the PDP through which he emerged as the ‎Speaker of the lower chamber to the opposition the APC. Tambuwal have been facing several travails chief of which is the withdrawal of his personal security by the Inspector General of Police who sited constitutional provisions as his reason.
