It is a long way to the beginning. Things have never been so bad for Nigeria as a nation or Africa as a continent.

Taking after his illustrious father, Seun Kuti, knows that 'music is the weapon' and with his inherited Egypt 80 band, has been committed to ensuring liberty for all through his afrobeat genre.

After 7 months on a global tour, like Odyssey; maverick Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, would take to the stage in 'The Return'.

His first appearance on stage according to Seun Kuti's Manager who spoke exclusively with BlackBox Nigeria, would take place at New African Shrine on Saturday, November 29, 2015 and another convergence to appreciate his Lagos Island fans would be held at Terra Kulture, Tiamiyu Savage Street, on Friday, December 12, 2014.

"The Return" is to celebrate Seun Kuti's return back to the country and would be featuring tracks like IMF from his most resent album 'A Long Way to the Beginning'.
Seun who left the country months ago began his tour with a special appearance at the Le Monde Festival in Paris. The musical tour also saw him performing in Denmark, Sweden, Argentina, Brazil, Columbi, Belgium, Germany, Italy etc.

While thanking his fans, Seun preempted  what might be in stock for his Africa return in a selfie picture posted on his official page.

Seun wrote,"this picture ends the life on the
road series for this season. Homeward bound.
Again I thank every fan from every city in every
nation, regardless of nationality, creed, class and
race who showed love and support. Money and
time are valuable and you all could have spent it
anyhow at that moment but you chose to spend
it with me. I truly appreciate that and this
success will only fuel my fire. Thank you all.
AFRICA IS STIRRING, AWAKEN THE BEAST
PEOPLE , FIGHT THE FEAR."

With 2015 around the corner, Seun has a lot of inequalities to return to at home. The country is still enmeshed in corruption and the leaders are not ours. Across Africa, Britton woods institutions like IMF still remains the devils advocate playing both the Shepard and the wolf. And the military? They are still lurking around power in Burkina Faso while life presidents are not getting any smaller.

Due to his renewed interest in youth's advancement and social media activism, Seun, earlier this year joined many Nigerian youths in the #stolendreams Protest. Thus, for 'The Return', afrobeat lovers should be prepared for an energetic, no mercy jabs and demands from the oppressors of the people.
