Football clubs in the Nigeria professional Football league have earned themselves the reputation of either paying its players "Starvation wage" or not even paying them at all.

After last weeks sage between Sharks Fc of Port Harcourt legendary Captain Odinga Odinga and the deputy Governor of Rivers state over unpaid wages, players of another P/harcourt based Club and Continental Ticket chasers Dolphins Fc have threaten to abandon their crucial home game against title contenders, Enyimba of Aba, if their salaries are not paid.

The League management Company(LMC) has responded to this spit of salary crisis bedeviling the league by issuing a "No pay, no play" rule ahead of next season, any team that does not pay up its outstanding salaries will not be register for the 2014/15 League season and also will not be allow to play in CAF club competitions.

It was also discovered that the chairman of the League Management Company(LMC) Hon. Nduka Irabor was quoted to have said "The direct effect of non compliance with such basic condition is now too obvious for all to see. The LMC will not budge on its demand for Financial Performance Guarantee in the new season, we will not allow clubs to carry-over their indebtedness to players into the coming season".

Nigeria have always had good laws over the years but implementation remains the bottleneck for us as a people, BBN will continue to canvass for the improvement of players welfare in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
