Over the week, news went viral that Starboi ent Boss Wizkid was arrested in Kenya over the weekend for smoking marijuana in a restricted area. The 'jaiye jaiye' crooner has however to deny this report.

"There was a report of Wizkid been arrested last weekend by Standard Digital News. The kenyan website reported that the Nigerian music act was caught and arrested smoking in a non-smoking hotel in Kenyan where he has been for victoria kimani's musical video. The Nigerian star lodged alongside Victoria kimani, music producer Del and cinematographer Patrick Elis in the Nairobi Crown Plaza Hotel.

Wizzy was traveling back to Lagos from Kenya where he ought to appear for the Hennessey Artistry Club Tour 2014 and while checking out of his hotel room was accosted for smoking illegal substances in a hotel that prohibited smoking.

He was rescued by Chocolate City artiste Victoria Kimani after he was made to pay a fine of Sh 50,000 ($560).Though Wizkid was released and made it to Lagos, Victoria on the other hand wasn't so lucky.

Reacting to the report however, Wizkid via his manager Seun Johnson in a telephone conversation with Ynaija said:  "Nothing of such happened. It is all rumour, rumors keep churning out everyday, it didn't happen."

News from another source also confirms wizkid's reports to Ynaija "I was on that same flight with him,  he didn't cancel any flight, it was only delayed. He was on that flight which left Nairobi at about 4pm."
